Worlds Collide

Chanyeol munched on the pizza happily.

“Should we be happy that you’re back now? Or should we look out for more trouble?” Yongguk asked.

“Always both.” She grinned as she sipped her cola.

“It’s been a while since I’ve been to the shop.” She mused, they were inside the auto shop, eating.

“No racing.” Youngjae shook his head.

“Really. Anyway, how are the stadium and the track, Dae?”

“We’ve been working on it, we’ve started three days ago.”

“How come no one told me?”

“Kris didn’t tell you?” Daehyun prodded, everyone leaned in.

“I don’t even know if he’s still breathing right now.” She shrugged.

“This is it, oppa?”

Kris nodded as he watched her glanced around the place.

“This is going to be a place for recreation and an escape from the city.” Kris stated.

Daehyun glanced at him before dismissing the wireman from his company.

“We get to see the stadium’s blueprints by next week, we already started with the track.”

“That’s goo, everyone from the board has been-”

“Oppa, who’s that?”

They looked up as a black Hummer stopped a few meters away.

Daehyun blinked.

“This is private property, no one can just…” Kris trailed off as the door opened, Jungah gracefully alighted from the car clad in a pair of black hot shorts, a loose muscle top and cherry red Docs.

“You’re not supposed to be working!” Daehyun chuckled and waved at her.

“I know.” She shrugged as she walked to them.

“Oppa, who is she? She looks like a rebel.”

Jungah’s eyes landed on the girl beside Kris.

“Li Jiaheng.” She nodded.

“I’m guessing therapy went well?” Kris smiled at her.

“I guess so. So what’s happening here?” She asked.

“Did Luhan even permit you to….come here?”

“Wrong question, does he even know I’m here?” She grinned, then she glanced around her.

“Finally, it looks like a construction site.” She mused.

“Jungie, you should be resting.”

“Rest is for the weak, how did you guys get here?”

“Helicopter.”

She nodded, then she turned towards the two.

“Jungah this is Lee Jooyeon, Jooyeon-ah this is Jungah. Her company and ours are working together for this project.”

Jooyeon smiled and stepped forward to shake Jungah’s hand.

Jungah smiled, then she remembered where she saw Jooyeon. She was the girl with Kris at the restaurant.

Daehyun smiled to himself.

“Jungah?”

She looked up.

“Let’s talk.”

“What is it?”

“You’re supposed to be at home, resting. Why did you drive here?”

“It’s just two hours away, Kris. It’s fine.” Jungah shrugged.

They were a few meters away from Daehyun and Jooyeon.

“Still, you shouldn’t be straining yourself.”

“I didn’t, driving is a good thing.”

“No, you should rest. I’ll call for the helicopter to take you home-”

“Ya, have you guys eaten?” Jungah turned to Daehyun. Kris sighed.

“Jungah.”

“Seriously, Kris. I said I’m fine.” She stared at him.

“Keys.” Daehyun stretched his palms towards Feilin.

“No.”

“I’ll drive, you just got well.”

“You sit in the front.” She replied.

“Xi Feilin!”

“Jung Daehyun, go!”

Kris looked at her.

“Oppa, can you give me a hand? The car’s pretty high.” Jooyeon smiled, Jungah glanced at her. They were to ride with her on their way to the restaurant for lunch.

Then with a soft smirk on her face she gracefully leaped on her seat.

“It’s my first time in such a big car.” Jooyeon mused as they got in. Kris sat beside her.

“Sit down properly.” He told her. Daehyun glanced at Jungah.

“Ya, do you know how fast this can go?”

“I don’t want to know.”

Jungah smiled and started the engine.

“Jungah, please.”

“Sure.” She smiled and she stepped on the gas, Jooyeon yelped in surprise as her back pressed against the Hummer’s seat. Daehyun sighed and just looked at the window.

“Jungah, slow down.” Kris spoke up.

Daehyun glanced at speedometer; she was bordering the speed limit.

“I’ve been confined in bed for almost three weeks, I don’t know what slow down is.”

“Oppa is right, you should slow down.” Jooyeon pouted. Jungah pursed her lips.

“I did kart racing for six years, I’ll slow down when I need to.”

Daehyun just glanced at his friend, somehow he had a feeling why Jungah’s attitude was a little different today.
