Kris glanced up and saw Jungah chatting with Chanyeol, the two of them were standing by the pool. Chanyeol was laughing while Jungah tried to kick his shin.

Then Chanyeol laughed and reached for her arms and pulled her to him.

Kris tensed in his seat.

Jungah laughed and hugged Chanyeol tightly before letting go.

Luhan glanced up and followed his friend’s gaze, he grinned and nudged Lay.

Jungah puffed her cheeks as she walked Chanyeol to the gate.

“I have to go.”

“You cant leave me here.”

Chanyeol smiled and pinched her cheeks.

“I know, see you when I see you.”

“Go away, oppa.” She chuckled.

“Bye Jungie.”

Jungah walked back in the garden, then she sat on her brother’s lap.

“Mei?” Luhan blinked, she made a face at him.

“If this is about changing the Hummer then-”

“It’s not that, I’m hungry.” She replied without looking up. Kris smiled, then Jungah picked up a piece of meat and a lettuce.

“I sense trouble, mei.” Lay mused, Luhan just smiled and patted his sister’s back. Jooyeon looked at her.

“Unnie,”

Jungah looked at her strangely.

“You’re a year older than her, mei.” Luhan reminded.

“That guy earlier, is he your boyfriend?”

Everyone at the table glanced at Jungah, Lay snorted. Kris studied Jungah’s face.

“He used to be.” She replied.

“Wa, you get along so well.” Jooyeon nodded, then she stood up.

“I’m sleepy, good night guys.”

Jungah trudged towards the house, she step through the patio doors.

“Yin wei, wo xihuan ni!”

She shook her head.

“Why am I even thinking about that?” She grumbled as she tied her hair.

“About what?” Kris tugged on the edge of her shirt.

Jungah almost choked.

“Nothing, why are you here?”

“You don’t look so well.”

“How many times do I have to say this? I’m okay, nothing’s bothering me.”

“Here goes your defense mechanism.” Kris smiled.

She made a face.

“Should we go out for ice cream?”

“Your treat?”

The two stepped out of the gates and decided to walk to the nearest mart.

Kris smiled as he glanced at Jungah’s side profile.

“Not cold?” He asked, while eyeing her typical shorts and shirt get up.

“Nope.” She replied.

“You know, Jooyeon likes you. She thinks you’re…badass.”

Jungah’s brows furrowed.

“Ah, I see.” She bit her lip.

“And I know you don’t like her.”

Jungah froze and glanced at Kris.

“No, I…”

Kris smiled and wrapped one arm around her shoulder.

“I met her when I was three, I spent a year studying in China that time. And now she’s back in Korea, she’s getting married next month.”

Jungah blinked.

“Married?”

Kris nodded. Jungah swatted his arm away.

“But…why…huh?”

“Her husband is working here.”

“Which is who?”

“I never got the chance to meet him. Why?”

Jungah blinked to herself, then she shook her head.

“I thought you two…were you know….an item.”

Kris smiled and continued walking.

“You do understand Mandarin right?”

“You think Agung would let me grow up if I refused to study Mandarin?”

“Good point.” Then he stopped to face her. Jungah froze.

“Because I think you didn’t hear me.”

“Hear what?”

Kris took off his coat, then he reached over to wrap it around her waist, then he tugged on the coat, pulling Jungah a near him.

“Wo zhi neng kan dao ni. (I can only see you.)” He smiled before pressing his lips on hers.

Jungah’s eyes widened.

Kris pulled away and stared at her.

“Jungah,”

She balked then shook her head.

“I don’t feel like having ice cream, see you…around. ‘Night!”
