2 Weeks Later...

Luhan's Apartment - 2:00 AM

Sehun was currently trying to sleep in his new room on his new bed. He hasn’t been sleeping well for the past week and couldn’t understand why.

Sehun had a lot of things on his mind lately. Things like his dad, his school, his life, and mostly everything and anything that went wrong in his life.

What he didn’t expect though was for his ed. teacher, who he only knew for about 2 weeks told him that they would be living together and that they would be ‘roommates’.

It took a lot to get use to the situation. He couldn’t help but feel grateful towards Luhan but on the other hand he couldn’t help but feel like a burden to his read headed teacher.

School was another problem for Sehun only because he hasn’t been. The doctor told him to take it easy for the next month and that all he could really do was stay at home and rest.

Sehun was ecstatic that he could escape hell for a whole month, however it also added to the feeling of being a burden to Luhan.

The only thing he was truly happy about was that he didn’t have to face his father anymore, hopefully.

2 weeks ago…Hospital

“Wait. What?” Sehun could feel his entire face burning up.

“I said we’ll be living together! as roomies!” Luhan giggled, his beautiful smile killing Sehun internally.

“W-what? Living together?” Sehun began to get panicky. He hated not knowing things.

Luhan could sense the other boy’s sudden anxiety. “Wow, he really seems scared?” he thought.

Luhan’s face softened as he placed his palm over the blonde boys arm. “Sehun-ah relax.”

As if on cue, Sehun relaxed. Well, more like stiffened to a sudden halt as he nodded his head in reply.

“Sehun-ah, I know you have gone through a lot okay?” Luhan spoke softly.

Sehun nodded in response, his eyes diverted to the ground next to him. He couldn’t look at Luhan directly in the eyes because truth be told he felt embarrassed that someone other than him new his dark secret.

“Earlier today, I went to the police station with Kris and we sorted out some things… Some important things…” Luhan spoke as he rubbed his thumb against the other boy’s arm.

Sehun slowly nodded.

“So we spoke to a lawyer and she thought it would be best if you don’t live with your father anymore…” Luhan said.

Sehun eyes went wide; they became glassy as if he was in deep distress. “I can’t Hyung… I don’t have anyone I can go to…  I can’t… I—”

“Listen Sehun, I was thinking, that if you let me? Maybe I can be your guardian and have you live with me for the time being.” He tried holding on to the blonde boy’s shoulders.

Sehun didn’t say anything…

“Sehun-ah?” Luhan called.

But Sehun stayed silent.

“Sehun-ah please say something.” Luhan pleaded as he cupped the other boy’s face with his hands.

Sehun opened his mouth to say something but quickly closed it, not emitting a single sound.

“Sehun-ah?” Luhan asked one more time, this time he was brushing away the bangs from Sehun’s forehead.

“Hyung…” Sehun finally responded, his voice hoarse and tired. “I… don’t think you’ll like me.”

Luhan raised an eyebrow. “Is that all he’s scared about? That I might not like him?”

As weird as it sounds; all Sehun ever wanted was to be liked. He was never liked in Kindergarten because the girls thought he was too puny and skinny. He was never liked in grade school because people about how his lisp was stupid and how his face made him look like an old man. He was never liked in high school because he was unfortunately gay, which everybody hated. His dad never liked him, but his mom did, which is why he curses the world for taking away the only person that ever made him feel loved.

He just wanted to be liked, was that too much to ask?  

Sehun looked down; tears began to form around the corner of his eye sockets.

“Shhh… Sehun-ah don’t cry. I like you. I like you very much. Okay?” Luhan cooed, he truthfully really liked Sehun, as a friend of course, if anything he felt bad that he couldn’t immediately change the way Sehun felt.

“Hyung… I don’t… th-think you’ll like me b-because… I haven’t told you-u everything….” Sehun struggled to say between heaving breathes.

“What does he mean by that” Luhan thought. “Sehun-ah, you don’t have to tell me anything right now.” he took a short pause to lift Sehun’s chin so the other boy looked him straight in the eyes. “However, if you ever decide to share something personal with me… I will never judge you… okay? Sehun-ah?”

Sehun sniffed as he slowly nodded his head.

Luhan found Sehun incredibly cute at the moment. The way the boy crinkled his nose made Sehun look like an adorable kid.

“Don’t cry anymore Sehun-ah, I like you, so don’t worry.” Luhan smiled.

“Thank you Hyung…” Sehun replied.

“So now it’s my turn to ask you something!”

Sehun broke into a soft smile.

“Do you like me?” Luhan asked while tying his best not to laugh at the other boy’s expression.

Sehun was blushing, like really blushing. He tried hiding his face with his hands but stopped midway because he thought Luhan would find his actions strange.

“Well Sehunnie?” Luhan teased.

“Sehunnie?!” Sehun began to nervously fidget with his fingers. “Y-yes-ss H-yung… I-I l-like you…” He finally blurted out.

Luhan smiled. “Good, now we both like each other.”

Sehun just smiled back. “I think I like you more…”

Ironically even in his thoughts… Sehun whispers.

2 weeks later…

Luhan's Apartment - Present Time

It was quite in the apartment that morning. Nothing but the sound of Luhan’s grandfather clock ticking while the coffee maker brewed a beautiful black liquid smothered with a heavenly aroma.

Sehun was finally able to get his sleep and he’s been sleeping for about 7 hours. It’s 10:00 AM and nothing but beautiful ticking noises filled the apartment. Leaving Sehun peacefully sleeping in his bed.

well…

peacefully until…

“SEHUN-AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!”

“Huh...” A sudden wailing voice wakes a sleepy Sehun up from his slumber.

“SEHUN-AH!!!!!!! SEHUN-AH!!!!!!! RISE AND SHINE!!!!!”

Sehun sighed “It’s Luhan.”

Suddenly the older male slammed the door open, barging through the room.

“Sehun-ah! Why aren’t you awake yet? You know it’s not good to oversleep, you need to stay active. Oh, and you need to eat something for god’s sake it’s almost 10:30!” Luhan scolded playfully.

Sehun looked at Luhan with an unamused expression (or his usual expression) and sighed.

“Okay Hyung I’ll just take a shower.” Sehun replied.

“Great! While you’re showering I’ll prepare your breakfast” and with a wink Luhan dashed to the kitchen.

Sehun couldn’t help but smile at the older boy’s antics. He was really grateful but his feelings for Luhan only escaladed with every nice gesture the red headed boy would do for him.

Sehun didn’t know when his feelings for Luhan started. He knew he found Luhan attractive when he found out he was going to be his teacher. He found Luhan extremely attractive that day in the hospital and when Luhan said they would be living together he only found him more likable.

So Sehun had a crush on his teacher, it’s not like he was going to do anything about it.

He shook his head and brushed those feelings aside, deciding it would be best to take a shower so he could cool off.

“Sehun-ah! Breakfasts ready!” Luhan yelled for the younger boy.

Sehun came out of his room only to be greeted by a smiley Luhan and a plate of eggs, rice, and sausages.

Sehun sat down on the other side of the table while Luhan put the plate in front of him.

“I hope you like it…” Luhan shyly muttered.

Sehun wanted to laugh but he didn’t “Thank you Hyung.”

He began eating his food and he couldn’t be happier.

“It’s not much; I’m not really that good at cooking.” Luhan said as he waited eagerly for Sehun’s response.

Sehun smiled “It’s perfect.”

Luhan couldn’t be happier.
