Doomsday

What is True Love?

Doomsday had finally arrived, well I wouldn’t call it finally since I didn’t want this day to ever arrive, but the world was moving forward, whatever I wanted it or not. The clock had already hit a bit past 9.00AM and I’ve precisely stepped out off the shower not too long ago. I’m currently putting on some light make-up, a bit of mascara, blusher and some lip gloss. Nothing much since it was a High School graduation ceremony and not a party.

This would be the first time I would be at a graduation ceremony on my own. Usually my parents would fallow, but due to ‘that’ they can’t. I don’t even have any relatives that could fallow. None of my parents had any siblings. Plus all my grandparents died a long time ago.

Even if I complained, nothing would change. So it was just to take life as it arrived. And even though my life weren’t as I’d hoped for, I still have to believe that it’ll change.

Taking a last glance in the mirror I swiftly made my way towards the door, fully dressed in high heels, dress and a jacket over. After locking the outer door I let the keys slip down in my handbag before I walked to the elevator and entered. The apartment was at the ninth floor and I didn’t want to risk falling down the stairs. Somehow it felt rather unnecessary, don’t you think.

The streets where packed with people, as always. But that didn’t bother me as much as it might’ve done, since I have a bigger problem to solve right now.

And that was, what where I going to do with MyungSoo. Would I let him just leave me like that.

~~

“Iseul sshi” I snapped my head around in search of who had called me, I knew it wasn’t MyungSoo since he didn’t use sshi after my name. When it came up to me who’d called I sighed. It was just Sung Hyun asking if everyone was here. Apparently every teacher had a list of their students names which they called, just to see that they where there.

“I’m just going to fix a thing” I murmured to Sung Hyun, but didn’t bother to wait for a reply as I escaped the eyes of him and Im Hye as I walked over to Yujin, MyungSoo’s homeroom teacher.

“Seonsaengnim” I called out as I saw how Yujin shifted her gaze from the paper to me as she asked me if something was wrong. “Aniyo, but have you seen MyungSoo?” I wondered as I glanced around, just to see if I’d missed him somewhere.

“No, I haven’t seen him yet” she answered as she then looked down on the paper again. I sighed and then returned to my class. *Pabo, I thought you’d be here, did I dress up nicely for nothing* a tear lid down my cheek and I hurried to wipe it away before anyone saw it. But unluckily, someone had.

“Haha are you crying” a voice ciphered before a laugh escaped, I knew very well who it was by the overconfident tone she was using. Lee Im Hye.

“Shut up” I snapped and made my way past her and in through the doors of the P.E hall. Where the ceremony was held, I don’t know how long it’ll take since every student would have to get up on the stage to get their High School diploma and also the grades.

I weren’t too fond of the whole; going up on the stage while knowing how it went last time I stepped up on a stage, total disaster. After taking a quick notice on all the chairs placed in the room I walked up to where 3A would be seated. 3A would sit in front while 3B – MyungSoo’s class would sit behind and behind them, the last class; 3C.

Students where slowly but steadily starting to fill up the huge room, some of them had their usual high school uniform on, while other’s where dressed nicely, in dresses, skirts and high heels.

Though no parents where allowed inside. Due to it being too crowded, and because the risk that not everyone would fit. But of course someone’s parents had to make a huge scene, saying that they had to attend the whole ceremony.

Ten minutes later the whole room was filled with laughing students, strict teachers and a principal who looked like he could burst into tears any minute. I sighed as snatched a glimpse of MyungSoo’s class. He was still not there. Wouldn’t he show up?

“Hello I’m Chungdamn High School’s principal Joo Se Hyuk and I want to welcome you all to this graduation ceremony. I truly want to say thank you for these past three years. I know many of you think high school has been hard. But I also hope that you have thought it was fun and that you got to know many new people. And many of you might not know what you want to do for the rest of your life. But rest assure, you are still young. Explore the world and then decided. Thank you and o wish the best of luck in your future”

The speech was shorter than I thought. Though it wasn’t like I cared, more like I had barely listened to his speech because I where terrified that MyungSoo wouldn’t show up. That he’d already left, knowing that Se Hyuk was MyungSoo’s guardian at least for a few more weeks. Since MyungSoo’s nineteenth birthday was in one and a half month prior to today. So maybe Se Hyuk was going to send the papers to MyungSoo in Jeju.

“So let us begin” a teacher had suddenly appeared on the stage as he was holding onto the biggest bunch of paper I’ve ever seen.

“3C – Park Ae Sook” the teacher whom I guessed was the homeroom teacher for 3C spoke and then a small scrap of a chair could be heard as the girl came forward and placed herself on the stage next to the male teacher. And so did this continue for at least fifteen minutes before they shifted teacher. Instead of that male, Yujin came up, also with a huge bunch of papers in her hands.

I knew very well what it was, the high school diploma and lastly the grades.

“3B – Min Chung Hee” Yujin half shouted so that she could get the boy’s attention. Even though this was school, no one was quiet. Ha that would be an understatement. People where chatting and laughing, not caring whatever a teacher was speaking or not.

*Rude*

Then his name was called.

“3B – Kim MyungSoo” Yujin called a second time, as if she thought that he hadn’t heard her in the first place. My heart sank bit by bit as the seconds ticked on, and no MyungSoo where in sight.

But then, in the corner of my eye I saw something moving towards the stage, causing my heart to jump several meters, or at least it felt like that when I saw that it was him. It was the boy I hadn’t seen in one week.

“You came” I whispered as I followed him with my eyes.

The next chapter will be the last, and for you who wonder if I'm going to write a new FF, actually I'm not too sure I since I've written fanfic's for the past 1 1/2 year without taking a pause. And then school is starting in a week. But I might write some one-shots =D it takes less planning and such.
