Chapter 6: A good friend

-Your POV-

I walked straight to class as soon as I got to school. People were busy chatting behind my back as I walked passed them. I cover my ears with my headphone and put any random song full blast.

I predicted this would happen. “Minjee-ah!” I heard Sunhi said as she pulls my headphone’s down. “Are you trying to ignore me?” She said and puffed out air as she sat next to me.

“No, it’s more like I’m trying to ignore those whispers and comments.” I said and felt relief now that she’s here. Well one at least I don’t look like a loner now. “What is going on?” I question her.

Seriously at times my mind just wouldn’t cooperate with me. I would be surprise if I get what is going on around me. Hey I can be really ignorant sometimes. I never care much on social stuff. It’s not like anyone has ever ask me if I want to be a queenka.

People just give me that title since I’m dating Jinyoung. Well you know every kingka needs his queenka and believe me it’s no fun. “Are you really so absentminded?” Sunhi said as she shook her head.

“Just explain to me something?” She raised her eyebrows and hummed a yes. “What’s the trending topic now?” She laughed and again shook her head.

“You, Jinyoung and hospital.” She said and again giggles. “Why are you always this slow? This is why you have a smart phone. You update yourself with the society.” She said and took out her iPhone.

“I wanna save money.” I lied. To be honest all I do with my phone is call, text and well Google stuff if I don’t have my laptop.

“Then use your god damn laptop!” She shrieked gaining attention from others. I smack her hand as she bowed and so did I. “Sorry, didn’t mean to be so loud.” She said and smile innocently at me. “Hey can you do me a favor?”

I narrowed my eyes at her as she looks at me. “What kind of favor?” I questioned making her smile evilly.

“Just write me a letter to Sandeul. You know how much I like him.” She said as she dreamily sighs. I rolled my eyes and shook my head. “Oh come on, I’m doing you a favor just why not do me one.” She pleaded and puts on her best aegyo.

I sighed and finally gave in. I took out my pen and a piece of paper.

‘Meet me there tonight, at the same place we always go. Make sure no one knows.’

“That’s it?” I asked as she nods her head. I don’t even know why she doesn’t want to write on her own but whatever I just want her to talk to Jinyoung about what my fault is.

“Thank you~” She cutely said and tear the letter. “I’ll be doing my part of the favor later when I meet Jinyoung.” She added again with a smile.

-Sunhi’s POV-

Everything seems to be going as planned. With this letter, her hand writing Jinyoung has to believe me. I mean who else he’ll believe with a solid proof? An evil smile spread across my face as I glace at her. She was too busy taking notes to even notice me.

‘Pabo’ I mouthed and smirked. Today will be your last day being called Jinyoung’s girl. I reach my pocket and held the paper. With this I will finally destroy you Minjee and Jinyoung will finally be mine.

Class finally ended and it was time for lunch. As usual nasty comments are being thrown at Minjee. I glare at anyone who stares at Minjee. “What are you looking at? Never seen someone this pretty? You wanna die?” I threaten as I held Minjee’s hand and pulled her to walk faster.

I look back and sent my last glare to the girl who constantly giving Minjee a hard time. “Sheesh! What is up with people?” I commented as we reach our lockers. “It seems like they never seen someone going to the hospital or something.” Minjee sighed and lean back against her locker.

“I hate this Sunhi.” She said as she gave me her puppy looks. I sighed and hugged her. “I really wanna cry right now. I don’t like this attention!” I rolled my eyes as I shushed her and slowly rubbed her back acting to give her comfort.

Seeing her breakdown is a big victory to me. Sometimes I wonder if she means what she said or she just said it to make her look humble and whatnot. Drama queen, sheesh.

“Minjee, I have to go and see if I could catch up with Jinyoung.” I said and broke our hug. “Are you going to be ok with lunch alone?” I questioned as I look at her in the eyes.

 “I’ll be in the library. I don’t like to be seen as a loner.” She answered as she took her books out. “I’ll see you in class.” She smiled making me smile back. “Good luck with Jinyoung.” She said and dash off.

“Pfft, I think I should say that to you.” I snickered and took out that piece of paper from my pocket. “Now all I need is to find Jinyoung.” I shove my books inside my locker and walked towards the field where I hope Jinyoung would be.

He’ll be conducting an open casting for the soccer tournament next  month. This is the other reason why I like him. He’s always this active and so skillful in anything.

As I expected he’ll be there with his buddies. “Jinyoung-ah!” I screamed and waved my hands at him. “I’ve been searching all over for you.” I lied. I don’t need to search for him. I always know where he’ll be.

“Sunhi-ah, annyeong.” He said as he sweetly smiled at me. My heart felt like it was about to burst but I was able to control myself.

“I found out something that might be helpful to you.” I said that gained the attention of his buddies. “But first I need to talk to you alone.” I said and glare at his friends. They groaned making Jinyoung chuckled.

“Why does Jinyoung always get the cute girls?” I heard them talk as they walked off making me smirk.

“Haja,” He said and held my hand as he leads me to the empty bench few feet away from the others. “What is it? Is it about Minjee? Did you do what I asked you to?” He said making me nod.

“I went to the hospital to see her like you told me to and as expected there was a boy next to her.” I said and bit my lower lips. “I really feel bad about doing this to my best friend.” I lied.

“Gwenchana, look on the bright side you are helping me.” He said with a smile. “So what else did you find?” I sighed and took the paper out.

“So when she was out with the guy I was snooping around and I found this when I open her diary book.” I said and handed him the piece of paper that I asked Minjee to write. “I am not sure to who it was but I am positive that it’s her hand writing. Could it be she means to send it to the guy she’s seeing?”

“You’re right. It is her hand writing.” He said as he crumpled up the paper. “I never would’ve guessed that she’s cheating on me.” He said and took a seat on the bench. He face palm himself and sighed.

I sat next to him and patted his back. “Hey, I never thought she’ll be like this too you know. She’s my best friend.” I said making him look at me.

“Thanks Sunhi. You’re really a good friend.” He said making me blush. Hey if he acknowledge me as a friend that is one step to become someone who will be known as his girlfriend.
