Chapter 1: The lie begins

-Author’s POV-

“Hyung! Jinyoung-hyung!” Jinyoung turned to face his little dongsaeng Gongchan who was running straight to Jinyoung. “Have you heard?” He said panting.

Jinyoung gave him a confused look, “Heard what?”

Gongchan was still panting as he looks at Jinyoung. “Minjee-noona is cheating on you.” Jinyoung didn’t believe the little ones and only laughed at him.

“Where the heck did you hear this joke?” Jinyoung said as he clutched his tummy and laugh whole heartedly. Jinyoung always believes in you and no matter what people say he will always trust you more.

“Hyung, I’m not kidding.” Gongchan said as he puts on a serious face. “Actually I’ve seen her with someone else too. I didn’t want to believe what people are saying but since I saw her with my own eyes I just, well believes it.” He said making Jinyoung doubt you slightly.

You always mean a lot to him. In short he is madly in love with you. Jinyoung stopped laughing and finally listen to Gongchan’s explanations. “This… this can’t be real.” Jinyoung said as he looked at the photo of you and a guy linked hands and share everything together.

“See… I really was hoping if it was all lies but I saw it myself.” Gongchan said as he sighed. “Why don’t you call her… ask her where she is.” Gongchan suggested. Jinyoung nods his head and took out his phone.

“Minjee-ah,” Jinyoung called out as soon as he was connected to you.

“Oh, Jinyoung-ah, wae?” You couldn’t help but wonder what brings him to call you. To you, you were actually being curious but to Jinyoung’s ears it sounded as if you were guilty and surprised that he called you.

“Where are you?” He asked. Your heart beats faster as you felt anxious. You were clueless and confused at the same time.

“I’m… uh… I’m at home… yea… that’s right… home, in my room, studying.” You lied you were actually out with your brother and his friends. You always knew that Jinyoung never approved you hanging out with other guys.

He actually even prevents his best friends to get near you. He finally has doubts about you. He really wanted to prove Gongchan wrong but you weren’t helping him out in any bits.

Jinyoung didn’t say anything else all he did was sighed and ended the call. You bit your lower lips knowing that Jinyoung is mad at you. You know it cause you always have him memorized. You know what he does at any time of the day and you know his favorites and you definitely know when he is mad.

“Oppa, ottokke?” You said as you face your only brother, Xiumin.

“Wae?” He responded with worries visible in his expression. “Is there something wrong?” His friends stopped whatever they were doing.

“Jinyounggie~” You said as you tried to control your emotion.

“Did he break up with you?” Luhan asked sounding a little bit too eager.

Luhan always likes you and always have feelings towards you only you never realized it. Kris smacked the older ones arm for being so carefree. “I… I mean are you ok?” He corrected.

“No…” You said making Luhan puffed out air and nod his head in acknowledgement. You on the other hand felt weird at Luhan’s sudden action. You shook it off and faced Xiumin. Since you only have Xiumin you always seem to open up to him. “He’s mad.”

“At you?” Xiumin said in surprised.

“No he’s mad at a monkey for stealing his hat, OF COURSE AT ME!” You freaked out. The rest of Xiumin’s friend, or what they like to be known as the EXO members, held back their laughter at your statement.

Xiumin too has trying hard not to laugh in front of you because he knew how worried you are. “Maybe he was in a hurry so he hung up.” Xiumin tried to explain.

“He sighed before he concluded the call. He was like huh then tut, tut.” You said trying hard to imitate what happened. You were actually being silly which made the EXO members almost burst in laughter.

“I… I need to excuse myself for a while.” Baekhyun said and shut his mouth tight after he said trying to contain his laughter.

“Nado!”
“Nado!”

The rest chorused as they exited leaving only Luhan and Xiumin. Luhan sighed and walked towards you. “Why don’t you talked to him.” Luhan advised. As much as he wants to ruin your relationship with Jinyoung he just couldn’t bring himself to see you all sad and gloomy knowing the fact that you are in love with Jinyoung.

“What if he doesn’t wanna talk to me?” You worriedly said as you face Luhan. “What if he just ask me to get out of his sight?” Questions after questions filled your mind as tears welled in your eyes.

It breaks Luhan’s heart to see you like this which made him wanna kiss your lips and tell you to leave him and tell you how much he loves you. Even so he couldn’t bring himself do it.

“You haven’t tried so you wouldn’t know how he’ll react.” Xiumin said as he covered up for Luhan.

“But…” You wanted to blab more about the negative thoughts when Luhan stood up and pulled you up.

“Go, ask him what’s bothering him. You can’t solve anything by crying.” He said as he wiped your tears away. You couldn’t help but smile. You knew you could trust them.

You hugged Luhan which startled him. His heart beats faster as his face redden. He broke the hug and turned around preventing you to see his tomato face. “Go.” He said still looking away from you.

You thank both Xiumin and Luhan for their advice as you rushed out the door. Xiumin stood up and patted Luhan’s back. “You ok bro? I think I just saw a big heart floating above your head.” Xiumin teased as Luhan swished his hand above his head trying to get rid of the big heart that Xiumin stated.

Xiumin laughed and soon all the EXO members gathered back after releasing their laughter. Luhan couldn’t help but wonder what you’re doing right now. Are you back in Jinyoung’s arm? Or are you being hurt but it seem unlikely to be that way.
