“But where are you staying right now, Julie? I want to know.” She said as they stop on the nearest coffee shop on her school. “It was kind of depressing living here in Korea. I just arrived but I feel troubled already! I want to live with you until I go back to California!” She said and made few frustrated facial expression.

She tried to smile to hide the small panic she was feeling in her heart. “T-that.” She said and roamed her eyes a bit while trying to grasp for a perfect excuse. “I am living with unnie right now.”

“Oh really?” She said. “I thought you have your own unit. I didn’t know you are actually living with them. That would then trouble them if I just barge in without them knowing me. It’s fine. I guess I really have to live alone in for the mean time.” She smiled as she took a sip of the coffee she ordered. Juliette just smiled. “Wait. Have you been so busy in school?”

It took Juliette 3 seconds before she could get to answer. “Yeah. So busy.”

“I asked about you to your parents a lot. Uncle Steve said he called you once, but Aunt said you never called her. That’s why we thought school’s probably making you do a lot ever since.” She uttered. “That’s the reason why I went here. I missed you so much and you’re not even contacting me. I thought you forgot about your friend Tina already. You have probably found someone better than me.” She said with a disappointed look.

“Of course not, Tina. You will always be my bestfriend.” Both of them giggled. “I just happened to… do a lot of things lately.” She reasoned out.

“It’s fine because I’m here now.” Tina said. “Wait. Tell me about SHINee. I bet you already saw them in person since your sister is Minho’s wife.”

“They’re very good,” was all Juliette can answer.

“What do you mean very good?” She asked. “Very good looking? Very good body shape? Very good attitude? What?” She seemed excited.

“Just… Very good.”

Tina, being her bestfriend for so many years, noticed something different to her, “Hey, Julie. Why don’t you talk so much? Do you even miss me? My bestfriend seemed not to be so excited about seeing me.” She uttered as she kept one eyebrow up.

“I’m not hiding something from you, Tina.” She just said. “I… I’m just probably tired. I haven’t slept too much lately.”

“That’s a pure surprise because one thing you hate is running out of sleep.” She said. “When you have exams you usually sleep 12 hours and study 12 hours in a day. Something else must be keeping you busy for you to even run out of sleep.”

They were talking about what’s happening in California when Julie looked at her watch secretly. It’s almost time for Taemin to arrive home so she needs to go home already.

“Oh crap. It’s almost time.” She said and looked at her friend with a sorry face. “I’m sorry Tina but I have to go.” She uttered.

“What? Wait. I’ll go with you.”

Julie stood up and took her bag. “You can’t go with me because I need to study more for the exam next week. I’ll call you tomorrow and you shall wait for me at school tomorrow just like what you did today.” She smiled.

“Wait! I was expecting you to tour me around!!” She shouted. “I will be very stupid here.”

“You can do it! Fighting!” She made a fighting with a closed fist and quickly run outside the coffee shop.

“Hey Julie, where are you going!!?” Tina shouted as she felt so much panic right when Juliette suddenly life. “This girl. Does she even miss me? She seems not to care about me coming.” She looked back and shouted again. “Hey, Julie. For your information we haven’t met each other for 6 months!!” She said as she frowned.

“What’s up to her? Does she really need to study all the time?” She shook her head as she talked to herself. “Old habits never die, really.”
