Taemin made sure that everything she needs is well prepared and all she has to do is reach for it when she needs to have it already. Medicines, water, foods, fruits, are all set on the table right beside Juliette’s bed.

She sat on the bed as she watched Taemin prepares everything for her, “Oppa… I’m fine.” She uttered asking him to stop doing it.

“I’m doing this because I don’t want you to call me in the middle of practice asking me for something that you need.” He said while busily counting the tablets, making sure she’ll be able to drink enough for the time being that she’s away. “I lost one day of practice because of you and now I have to make up for it. Tomorrow’s gonna be my debut stage but I’ll still go home tonight.” He said.

“Uh? Is it tomorrow already? I didn’t know… I forgot about it.” She said and bitted her lower lip.

“You forgot because you’re so busy expecting your grades to exceed 100.” He said seriously but Juliette looked at him in awe. “I can’t believe how grade conscious you are. If you only know how to divide consciousness then it will be alright.” He uttered.

“I grew up thinking too much about my grades in school. Uncle Steve taught me how academics are important to be successful in the future.”

“You’re good in school but still have time clubbing, shopping, and stuff.”

“They’re all part of me… at least before. That’s how I simply lived my life.” She said.

“And that’s pretty empty.” Taemin looked at her straight into the eyes. “You’re life isn’t really fun. The 10 years you lived in US brought you such a boring life. You think clubbing and shopping makes you an interesting person? Well, not really. You’re missing the fun of having simple things that can make you happy.” He said.

“Like what?” Juliette asked.

“Singing with Onew hyung at the rooftop during trainee days, laughing with Jonghyun hyung as we watch crazy stuff, Winning over Minho hyung when we play video games, eating foods Key-umma makes.” He looks at Juliette and smiled, “Those are the things that bring me so much happiness. Unlike you… You keep on looking at bigger stuff that you don’t appreciate the little things that were given to you.” He uttered.

That made Juliette think. She’s wondering why Taemin has to say that to her.

He was about to leave when Kai suddenly popped out of nowhere. “Are you going out now, hyung?” He asked when Taemin opened the door.

“Hey, why are you here?” He said in an irritated voice. “I’m going out, you won’t do anything here.” He said and pushed Kai a little bit.

“I’m here not for you.” He lifted the basket full of fruits that he bought. “I’m here to visit Juliette. Is she awake already?” He asked.

“Hey. I thought you’re not making any moves on her. Why are you doing this?” He asked with an eyebrow raising.

“I’m not making moves. I’m just here to visit her. That’s all.” He shrugged his shoulder and sneakily went inside. Taemin tried to stop him but it was too late. Juliette, who went out of her room, saw Kai as she entered.

“Oh, oppa.” She said and immediately greeted Kai a good morning. “What brought you here.”

“I was here yesterday and saw how sick you were. I decided to return to visit you.” He smiled, “Oh and I bought you some fruits. You’ll gain more energy when you eat these.”

“Aigoo, oppa… Thank you very much.” She smiled and made her way to Kai but tripped a little because she was still weak. Kai was fast enough to support her.

Taemin looked at the both of them and Kai looked at him, “Hey, hyung. You need to leave now. You still have practice for tomorrow’s debut stage.” He said. Taemin was about to say something when Kai added, “You can’t miss practice now. Debut stages are very important.” He said.

“Oppa should leave now.” Juliette added.

“Don’t worry about Julie.” Kai said and looked at her in a friendly way. “I don’t have any work today so I’ll look after her while you’re away.” He uttered.

“Oh, really, oppa? You’re going to be with me the whole day?” Juliette looked very excited as she heard what Kai has said. He nodded and both of them grinned at each other.

“See, hyung, you don’t have to worry about her.” He smiled playfully and turned to Juliette. “Have you eaten breakfast or do you want me to cook you better stuff??” Juliette smiled and both of them headed out to the kitchen.

Taemin shook his head but was forced to leave because he still has practice to attend to.
