Capturing Taemin-Oppa
“You don’t even know how to do simple house chores.” Lee Taemin stood at the center of the living area with Juliette who was keeping her head down. “You broke the plates, you broke the glass, you threw away the other utensils instead of washing them, you put these dirts under the carpet, you forced all our collections inside as if they were trash. What else did you do, eh? Will you burn this dorm soon when you can’t think of any way to clean it?” He asked mockingly.
Taemin faced her, “You know what? I pity you. I pity you for not knowing anything.” He said and turned his back on her, “If you can’t think of anything else but shopping and going to clubs, I don’t know if anybody will like you as you wish.” He said and entered his room.
Jooyoung went to her room and closed the door immediately. There her tears started to fall freely. Living like a real princess, this is the first time after 10 years that someone really put her down that much that’s she couldn’t really do anything but cry. All that he said had affected her. It hurt her like arrows being planted on her heart. Not to mention those words came from the man she really loves. Sad… for there’s no one there to help her feel okay. She suddenly misses her mother. She was always there when she needs someone to lean on to. Now that she’s far away, she doesn’t know where else to go.
Unnie… Jieun-unnie.
She left without Taemin knowing and straightly went to Jieun’s house.
“Oh. Juliette~” Jieun said as soon as she opened the door and saw Juliette.
Instead of saying hi, Juliette immediately hugged her unnie and started crying. “Oh. Did something happened, my dear?” She said and closed the door while rubbing her back as she cried.
They sat on the couch and Minho accidentally passed by. He saw the two were having serious talk so he gave them privacy as a sign of courtesy.
“Is there something wrong, Juliette?” Jieun uttered as she rubbed her back. “Is this all about Taemin?”
“Unnie… Am I really worthless?” She asked. Jieun wiped those tears away from her. “I know Taemin oppa thinks I can’t do anything good enough. I’m such a fail unnie. Being together for a day and I already disappointed him a lot of times.” She said in between sobs.
“No, dear. You’re not a fail. You just don’t know a lot of things because you grew up having someone else to do it for you.” She said to calm her sister down.
“What will I do, unnie? How will I learn all these things? Is it too late for me? Won’t oppa like me back because of these?” She whined like a complete baby girl.
“Relax my dear, unnie will help you.” She smiled as she fixed Juliette’s hair. “You’re starting to look like a mess now. I’ve known my sister to be very beautiful.”
“Oh? Even I look like a mess?” She started whining again. “Unnie. Taemin oppa won’t like me. Not anymore ~” She cried.
“Shh. Baby… stop crying.” She chuckled and hugged her sister tightly.
Jieun brought out the vacuum cleaner. “This one was bought by Minho. It’s the same cleaner they have in the dorm.” She said and pressed the on button.
“Oh.” Juliette uttered. “You have to plug it in the electricity? I thought it operates with the use of battery.” She said and scratched her head.
Jieun chuckled, “Electricity, dear.” She repeated. “and from here you just go around from place to place to clean the floor. You also need to go around the carpet for this to sip in the dirt and dust on it.” She said and demonstrated how it is done.
She taught her how to clean the racks, the cabinets, and other appliance on the house. She also taught her sister how to wash the dishes.
“But unnie… It slides every time I try to hold it.” She uttered and complained.
“Don’t be too careless then. You have to hold it tightly and make sure you do it neatly. Plates, glasses, and other utensils are important. You have to take care of them, you know.” She uttered.
“I just threw everything in the trash can hoping to buy the house another set.” She admitted.
“Oh?!” She said in surprise. “That won’t do!” Jieun unnie told her. “As much as possible, do everything carefully so you don’t have to buy everything over again.”
“How about cooking, unnie?”
“Taemin will eat even the simplest food that will be served. He’s the member that doesn’t complain much about food. He will literally eat everything you serve him, even those with the weirdest taste.” Minho interrupted for a while as he peeped in the window. “I’m sorry I have to disturb you. I just felt like I have to say it for you to have an idea what you will prepare for him. Start with the simplest one. Fry hotdogs, fry chickens, boil some eggs, do simple dishes. It’s okay. Just don’t overcook them. He’ll like it for sure.” He smiled at both of them.
“Thanks, hun.” Jieun smiled at him and he made his exit.
