Juliette woke up the next morning warmly wrapped with a blanket on her bed. She blinked several times and immediately thought of how she even got into the bed when she clearly can recall her position at the table with all the books piled up beside her. She looked at the clock hanged on the wall and it already says 7 am and Juliette has to leave at 9:30 today.

Stretching a bit while still lying on the bed, she realized how wonderful her sleep was just now. She even recalled about a dream where Taemin was gently wiping off her lips for a reason that she didn’t understand clearly.

“I don’t really remember getting on the bed.” She shrugged her shoulders as she stood up to prepare breakfast. She remembered Taemin has to leave early, too.

She was surprised to see that their breakfast has been set on the table already. She looked at the kitchen and saw Taemin, busily cleaning up the things that he used to make their breakfast.

“Oppa…” She called out flashing him a surprised expression. “You cooked?” She uttered.

“Can’t I?” He said and looked at her while wearing an apron. “Come on, have a seat. You were sleeping soundly so I didn’t bother waking you up to make this… and besides, I cook better than you. I want to taste good food so I decided to do it.”

Juliette pouted and sat on the table just right beside Taemin’s seat. She immediately took a bite of the scrambled egg that he prepared. She took a toasted bread and immediately consumed it.

“Hey.” Taemin pulled the toast that she was already holding and placed it on her plate. “Why do you eat ahead of me? Shouldn’t I be the one eating first?” He said and seated on her left. Again, she pouted and both of them started eating for real.

They went out together and as usual, Taemin took Juliette at her school.

“It’s okay if you don’t pick me up later. I don’t think I’ll go home early today. I have lots of things to do.” She said as she was about to leave the car.

Taemin simply nodded but said, “You can’t extend until 8 pm. It’s too late.” He said and handed her something. “Take it. I realized I brought two so you can have the other one.” He said as he gave them one of his banana milks.

“Oh? But you said never to get even one of this because they are all yours?” She said.

“It’s fine. I can buy a lot of them when I want, too. I have money, you know.” He said and quickly remembered giving her allowance. “Oh, talking about money.”

“It’s okay, oppa. There’s still some left from the money you gave me the last time. It’s fine. I’ll ask for it once I don’t have anything left anymore.” She smiled. “Goodbye, oppa. Take care and have a nice day.” She said and left.

Taemin was kind of surprise about how she even saved some money from the few bills she gave her before. Yes, it’s few when we talk about Hwang Jooyoung being the rich spoiled brat. He smiled unconsciously again as he realized how Jooyoung is slowly learning the real things in life.

He was about to call her when he heard the opening of the door. Taemin looked at it and saw Juliette coming in, looking all tired and exhausted. She ran to the couch and threw herself lazily, catching her breath and wiping some drops of sweat on her forehead. “Oh life. I didn’t know this could be this hard.” She whispered as she tried breathing calmly.

“What happened?” Taemin asked in a surprised and confused expression.

“It’s very exhausting to use public transportation, oppa. I thought I was going to die.” She said and fanned herself. Taemin chuckled and nodded. He realized this is the first time Juliette actually experienced this kind of transporting. “Did you cook already?” Taemin shook his head. “Okay. I’ll do it.” She breathed and ran to the kitchen. She looked all hyped up despite obvious exhaustion. Taemin smiled at her enthusiasm although he’s a little word that she will suddenly collapse there because she’s so tired.

She cooked in a speed of lightning and prepared the table after a while. They both seated and Taemin almost choked as he watched how Juliette was moving. She was eating really fast and finished it in just a speed.

“Hey, are you okay?” He said as he tried to calm her down.

“I’m sorry, oppa, but I have to do things quickly because I need to study tonight. We have exams tomorrow so I need to do everything fast.” She said. “Call me once your done and I promise to wash the dishes later on. I’m going to my room for a while to start studying.” She stood up and suddenly kissed Taemin on the cheek, “Goodnight.”

Realizing what she does after 2 seconds, the whole world suddenly stopped as both of them were surprised about what Juliette just did.

“Uh… Back in California we usually kissed each other when leaving the table first. That was a tradition formed within the three of us, I, Uncle Steve, and umma. I was out of control and I didn’t realize who I am with. I’m sorry.” She said and ran to her room without any words.

Taemin was left there speechless. It was just on his cheek, but why does he feel so different about it?
