Trouble Comes

Something Called Love...

Jung Yunho was preparing breakfast that morning when he received the unexpected call. His once happy expression turned worried one when his wife entered the kitchen. He sighed heavily as he nodded and hung up the call. The wife was curious at his expression as she approached him.

"Something wrong oppa?" Ji Eun asked, leaning in to see what he cooked that morning.

He just replied with a small smile and a soft peck on her cheek. "Are you hungry? Breakfast is ready,"

The pregnant mother placed the prettily dressed Yuri on the chair as she went to get plates for both of them. Yunho served the perfectly made breakfast on the table in front of them. He cooks much more frequently now, mostly to help his wife and fulfill her cravings. His cooking had improved a lot, thanks to Ji Eun's monitoring and he now made less mess every time he cooks.

Ji Eun has a very good mood that morning that Yunho didn't dare to ruin it with the news he's about to announce. He had no other choice but to break the news to her, slowly. She was happily feeding the toddler with a bright smile on her face. Their interaction made it look like they were mother and daughter for real. Ji Eun fed Yuri bit by bit, wiping off any food at the corner of her lips. The little girl on the other hand willingly opened without much struggle.

Yuri has been living with them for almost a month now. Ji Eun and Yuri have grown attached to each other as time passed by. Yunho noticed that his cousin had left her daughter with them longer that she promised. After such a long time, Jooyeon finally called to come and pick Yuri up. Turns out her work takes longer to finish than she had imagined.

"Oppa, can you hold Yuri for a while? I'm going to make her milk," Ji Eun asked as she handed the girl to him.

Yunho took the opportunity to talk to Yuri. "Sweety, do you miss your mommy?"

"Omma is making milk," she pointed to the kitchen.

"Not Ji Eun Omma, but Jooyeon Omma. Your old mommy?" Yunho tried to clarify her.

Yuri blinked a few times before she pouted in return. "Dae. Nomu bogoshipoyo..."

"Your Omma is coming to pick you up today," he told her.

"Weally? Yay, Omma is coming!" she exclaimed happily.

Yunho sighed in relief. At least Yuri would be okay about leaving them. Now he just have to break the news to his wife. Ji Eun joined the two in the living room a few seconds after. She fed Yuri the bottled milk as the girl laid on the couch with her head resting on Ji Eun's lap. She smiled and the girl's hair lovingly.

"Baby..." Yunho tried to get her attention. "It's been a while since Jooyeon noona called right?"

Ji Eun nodded in return. "Yes, we hardly hear any news from her. She left Yuri with us longer than expected,"

"Well... She called this morning. She just came back from work," Yunho tried to slowly get to the point. "She'll be coming over soon to pick Yuri up."

Ji Eun lifted her head up to face him. She knew that this day will come soon. "How soon?" she asked.

"Maybe today?" Yunho reached out to hold her free hand. "Ji Eun-ah, will you be alright?"

The wife pondered for a while at the thought. She bit her lips before turning to look at him. She softly nodded with a sad look in her eyes. Her husband smiled softly, gently squeezing her hands for comfort. Hey both gazed at Yuri who had fallen asleep after she finished her milk. Ji Eun her hair lovingly as she leaned in and kissed the girl softly on her forehead.

"We'll be missing you so much Yuri-ah," Ji Eun hugged the little girl one last time before handing her to Jooyeon.

"Thank you so much for taking care of my baby. I owe you both so much," Jooyeon thanked the young couple.

"It's the least we could do for you noona," Yunho smiled back in return.

"Just to clarify my guess... Is Ji Eun pregnant?" being a careful observer, Jooyeon asked.

Yunho couldn't help but to smile in happiness. He wrapped one arm around his wife's shoulder as he nodded. "It's almost three months now,"

Ji Eun on the other hand stared in confusion at Jooyeon. How did she guess that she was pregnant. As far as Ji Eun was concerned, her stomach was still barely visible. "Unnie... How did you know?"

"I was pregnant once, of course I knew. Besides, Yunho just couldn't wipe that obvious grin off his face," the elder woman chuckled in return. "Congratulations on your first child. Remember to take really good care of her Yunho-ah," Jooyeon reminded.

"Your the tenth person to say that to me noona. Of course I will," he sighed and nodded in return.

"We'll come and visit if we have time," Jooyeon said, referring that it will not be the last time Ji Eun will see Yuri.

"Goodbye Yuri-ah, we'll miss you..." Ji Eun reluctantly bid goodbye as the girl waved back in return.

Ji Eun released a long sigh after they were out of sight. She turned around and leaned on her husband's chest. He expected as much, as he wrapped his arms around her in a comforting hug. His chin was resting on her head as he rubbed her back soothingly.

"Should we go somewhere?" he suggested, wanting to get her mind off the misery.

"Where to? I'm... not really in the mood," she replied in a flat tone.

Yunho was at a loss for words to reply to his wife. He knew one of her mood swings was attacking again. Suddenly, he felt her crumpling the front of his shirt with both hands as he heard a low groan from her.

"Ah, oppa!" she yelped, holding onto her head all of a sudden. Her legs went weak as she slid towards the floor.

With a quick reflex, Yunho caught her before she hits the floor and carried her to their room. "Kwenchana Ji Eun-ah? W-where does it hurt? S-should I got get the doctor?" he stuttered in panic, reaching for the phone.

Ji Eun stopped him, shaking her head in return. "I... I just want to rest for a bit," she mumbled.

Yunho ran to the kitchen, back into the room with a glass of water in his hands. She slowly gulped down the water before leaning on the pillows, hands on her stomach. He her hair with one hand while he other was on her hands.

"Will you be okay though?" he asked still worried.

Ji Eun gave a small smile, softly nodding in return. She slowly closed her eyes, trying to let the pain go away. But she opened her eyes again when she heard her husband's voice.

"Jiyool-ah, please don't hurt your omma, appa is so worried. Be a good girl and take care of your omma for me honey?" Yunho was leaning towards her stomach while softly mumbling as if the baby could hear him.

"Yunnie... What are you doing?" she couldn't help but chuckle at his behavior.

"I'm just reminding our baby not to hurt you..." he caressed her stomach lovingly as if the baby could hear him.

"Jiyool... Is that the name for our baby?" she asked.

Yunho nodded excitedly. "It's nice right? I've always wanted to name my future daughter Jiyool,"

"If we have a daughter. But what if it's a boy?" she asked, all that talking fades her pain away.

"Hmm... What about JiHo?" he suggested, still softly caressing her stomach.

"JiHo?"

Yunho nodded in return "JiHo. Ji Eun-Yunho. I'm a genius right?"

Ji Eun just smiled warmly in return. "That's nice too,"

"OMG!!! Ji Eun-ah, I so can't believe this! Why didn't you tell me this earlier?" Ayumi squealed, clapping her hands in delight while fanning herself.

Ji Eun just smiled in return while Yunho less expected that Ayumi would be so hyper to hear that news. He had to cup his ears from her high-pitched voice while wondering how the girl still hasn't run out of breath after doing everything all at once.

"We didn't expect that too," she replied.

"I bet your babies would be so cute!! I mean with Yunho-sshi's dashing good looks and your cuteness, they will be freaking adorable!" Ayumi exclaimed, still jumping up and down, gaining the attention of the passers-by.

"She's not trying to flirt with me isn't she?" Yunho whispered in his wife's ear, staring weirdly at her friend.

Ji Eun pinched his side, earning a yelp from the older man as she glared at him. "What? I was just joking," he smirked in return.

"Do you know what's the gender? Or maybe are you having twins?" the hyper girl finally took a seat.

"I guess it's too early to tell. Besides, I want it to be a surprise," Ji Eun replied.

"But I want a girl," Yunho replied for her. "While Ji Eun wants a boy," he glanced at his wife.

"I want both!" Ayumi suddenly commented. The couple stared weirdly at her. "I m-mean... I hope they will be twins," she scratched her head sheepishly.

"Twins would be great too. Right oppa?" Ji Eun glanced up at her husband as he nodded with a smile.

"Oh, I almost forgot. Our school is holding a get-together party this weekend. Do you want to come Ji Eun-ah?" Ayumi asked.

"Who will be there?" she asked.

"All of our old friends and some seniors. It's been a while since we met them right?"

Ji Eun smiled widely at the thought. She missed her school and mostly her friends. It would be great to meet them and share stories. It's been almost half a year since she graduated from school. Ayumi also had a hopeful look on her face, beaming at her best friend.

"So, will you go?"

“Oppa, how do I look?” Ji Eun twirled around, fully-dressed for her reunion party.

“Amazing,” he smiled as he approached her closer, giving a quick kiss.

Ji Eun smiled and sighed in relief, she was wondering how her friends would react seeing the new Ji Eun. Moreover, they still didn’t know that she was already married. It might be something shocking for them since they never see Ji Eun dressing up. She was jolted back to reality at her husband pulling her outside the door.

“Yunnie, are you sure you don’t want to come along?” she glanced at her husband who never took his eyes off the road.

“I’ll be fine baby. Ayumi is going to take very good care of you there right? Besides, you should have some fun once in a while,” he replied.

The wife couldn’t help but to smile proudly at her husband. She knew how protective he was, expecially since she got pregnant. But he was very considerate this time to let her do things on her own. Yunho on the other hand had no much worries for his wife. He knew that her school was an all-girls school, so he thought that he had nothing to worry about.

“I’ll pick you up in three hours,” he pecked her lips as she got off the car.

Ji Eun was slightly pouting as Yunho rolled down the windows. “I was hoping you could be my date tonight,” she mumbled mainly to herself.

“Baby, you’ll be fine,” he assured with a smile.

***

“Ji Eun-ah, there you are!” Ayumi squealed as she approached her best friend, pulling a frowning Changmin along with her.

“Hi, Changmin oppa,” Ji Eun waved, slightly confused why he was here.

The tall boy waved in return, trying so hard to pry himself off his cousin’s grip. He was dressed handsomely in a suit, wearing an unhappy and awkward smile. Both Ayumi and Changmin looked around the hall for any signs of Yunho but he was not around.

“Where’s your hubby? Busy?” the hyper girl asked, still holding tight onto her cousin who was trying to attack the dessert table.

“No, he told me I should have fun once in a while and that you can take good care of me,” she frowned, plopping herself at one of the tables.

“I do take really good care of you, but I’m pretty busy right now,” Ayumi struggled in reply, pulling Changmin away from the desserts.

“Why did you bring Changmin oppa along?”

“My dear cousin didn’t manage to get a date, so I’m accompanying her,” Changmin proudly stated, popping a cupcake into his mouth. “In return, she has to buy me dinner for a month,”

“Dealing with a devil has a price,” Ayumi whispered into Ji Eun’s ear before earning a smack at the back of her head.

Meanwhile at the other side of the town, Yunho was busy burying himself in his workload. He suddenly stopped, glancing around the room as he could feel the emptiness in the air. He wondered how Ji Eun was doing, she must be having a lot of fun, without him. Then he remembered her words right before he left. She mentioned something about dates.

“Date? So other girls are gonna come with their dates?” he wondered to himself. “Dates means… there’s going to be a lot of guys there,”

Then it clicked, he smacked his forehead for being so slow. He had left Ji Eun alone while other people are busy with their dates. That’s not the only problem, there will be guys there. Yunho was already gritting his teeth at the thought of those guys talking with his wife. He closed the files shut and got ready to head to the reunion.

***

Ji Eun was nodding, bowing and shaking hands as her friends introduced her to their dates. She was feeling a little timid since she has no one to introduced to them. Then, one of her friends brought her over to introduce her to one of the seniors of their school. Her glance shifted to the tall model-like figure who has been catching the attention of everyone in the hall since her entrance.

“Ji Eun-ah, meet Park Soojin sunbae. She graduated from this school five years ago,” Hyelim, one of her friends introduced them to each other.

“Nice to meet you, I’m Ju- urm Lee Ji Eun,” she politely bowed to her senior.

“Where’s your date Ji Eun-ah? Don’t tell me your mom is still controlling you?” one of her friends asked.

Soojin couldn’t help but to raise an eyebrow at the familiar name. “Yes, where’s your date?” she asked and smirked.

“I... urm… well…” Ji Eun stuttered in reply.

She was loss for words to reply. Should she tell them that she was happily married to someone who is six years older than her? Should they know that she is pregnant with his child? It’s true that their marriage was no longer a secret, but she didn’t know if it’s the right thing to tell them.

“Ji Eun doesn’t just have a date, she already has… a b-boyfriend!” Ayumi suddenly interrupted.

Ji Eun was staring shockingly at her best friend who popped out of nowhere while Changmin was smacking his own forehead at his cousin’s big mouth. He stared at Soojin standing with a curious look on her face.

“Really? Where is he?” she asked curiously.
