I have typed and erased then typed this message for undeniably uncountable times already..

 

I was being bothered by the fact that I saw Sunny Lee at the airport before we boarded the plane.. What is in her mind? Why show up at the airport at exactly the same time as we are there? Does she want to get busted? PLUS, she is with her groupmate, Choi Sooyoung. There are a lot of people there at the airport, what if they recognized them as So Nyeo Shi Dae? And where is she going???

 

 

I know life is a mystery, I'm gonna make history...

 

My ipod keeps on playing SNSD songs and I can't help but to imagine Lee Soongyu, I mean Sunny Lee in their music video..

 

*sighs * I pressed the send button and closed my eyes, hoping that my IM will fail but it was sent and delivered to the right destination..

“Kris. Wake up”

 

Chen, my roommate this time, woke me up since I didn't hear the alarm clock, “What time is it?”

 

“Uhm, 10 minutes before breakfast. Ppali, move your lazy bum shower and get dressed!”

 

I got up quickly and collected the training suits provided for all of us and went inside the toilet.

 

I the hot water and had a steamy bath..

I read Suho's message after I put on my clothes and both Chen and I went upstairs, with the use of the elevator.

 

We reached the rooftop just right on time when they are already serving our breakfast.

 

 

I sat beside Luhan who looks so sleepy like me. Among the rest of us, we both are aware that we are the heavy sleepers.

 

I saw Sehun and Kai sitting together with their team on the other table but the thing is they are not sitting beside each other. Weird because the two of them are inseparable.

After breakfast, Dr. Kim advised us to rest first for an hour and head to the gym..

 

Suho and I went together.

 

We both had our ipods with us when Baekhyun arrived and asked the gym instructor if he can plug his phone in the flatscreen TV to watch music videos.

 

The bulky-hulky guy asked him what kind of Mvs and when he answered Girls Generation, he smiled like there is no tomorrow and allowed Baek.

 

I removed my earphones and set aside my ipod and watched the mvs too while doing a foot exercise.

 

My eyes were glued on the screen when I heard... 1, 2, 3 Not only you and me Got one eighty degrees And I'm caught in between Countin'

 

 

“Wow.. Sunny is very y...”the guy said

 

I cleared my throat and tried to keep my eyes off. But it seems like the song? The video? Or the person on the video itself is luring me to look.

 

I admit, I became more energetic after I watched her solo performance.. Think whatever you want.. But admit it, the song is a catchy and an energetic song right? THE SONG.

I met up with my teammates after a year of not attending practice.

 

Lay came with me, he's the assistant coach for basketball.

 

He ordered everyone to line up and introduced me again to them.

 

There is AJ, Kikwang, Seyong, Gunwoo, Baro, Jungshin, Jaejin, Eli and others who are new in the team.

 

“Guys. This is Kris Wu and I know some of you know him already. He is known back then as Kevin Li in the basketball industry, he is our team's previous team captain. I hope that you will accept him again in the team”

 

I can feel all eyes on me. I learned from Dr. Kim that Eli is the new team captain. He is not a stranger to me because I personally have trained him back then..

 

“Annyeonghasaeyo. I'm Kris, I hope to work well with you”

 

“Where is Dr. Kim?” Eli said

 

“Uh? He's with the hapkido team” Lay answered

 

“I need to talk to him”

 

“I am here, you can talk to me”

 

“Are you Dr. Kim?”

 

“No. I am Zhang Yixing and I am your assistant coach here. And just for your information, I have all the legitimate rights to act as the main coach when the coach is not around, if you have anything to say, say it here”

 

I stood up wearing my pokerface as I watch the two have an argument, I am not in the position to stop them. Right now, I am just a member of the team. But seriously, Lay is kinda pissed, no wonder, Eli has became an airhead.

 

“Fine. I just want to tell the coach that we are not accepting him in the team, YOU, Kris? Did I get your name right? I heard that you had an injury, we don't want any liability in our team so you are free to go back to Seoul and just continue being a non-existent member of our team like what you used to be”

 

“Eli, stop.” AJ said

 

“What? I am correct, right? We don't want you here. We are better off without you.”

 

No matter what he say, I just kept my pokerface. Who does he think he is?

 

“So you are better off without him?” Lay said

 

“yes.”

 

“Then how come you never qualified in the district match”

 

“Because there are a lot of better teams”

 

“What kind of a team captain's mind do you have?” Lay said and smirked

 

“Lay. Stop it” I said

 

“See, he told you to stop. So just go away, you two”

 

“Eli. Why don't we give Kevin a chance? We knew how great he is, he was the one who taught you basketball, don't forget that” Sandeul said

 

“Fine! For the sake of the past, let's play one on one. If I won, withdraw from the team and if you won then welcome back, captain.”

 

“Call” I said

 

The news about the one on one exhibition game of Eli and I spread like a wildfire. 15 minutes after I accepted his challenge, we went to practice to separate courts while the bleachers are being filled with other athletes..

 

I practiced shooting..

 

For the first time in the long time, I called for my father to guide me in this game. I looked at my brother who is sitting among s, and after like forever, he gave me an encouraging nod and a smile.. he even mouthed 'you can do it'

Eli and I used the toss coin system to determine on who will grab a hand on the ball. Our game will last for only 15 minutes.

 

I admit, I am quiet nervous.

 

I was sitting on the bench and thinking about the people who serves as my inspirations to play..

 

Dad. Mom. Appa. Sehun. Kai.. my friends... and Soongyu the pabo..

 

“Kevin oppa!!!! Fighting!!!!” Luhan cheered on the crowd, holding pink pompoms. Seriously, this guy is a retard..

 

“Fighting oppa!!!” Chanyeol, Baekhyun, Tao, Xiumin, Chen, and Suho are also holding pink pompoms and then before I knew it, they (SM Athletes) are all calling my basketball name and are raising their own pompoms..

 

I have to win, I can't lose..

 

“Kris, it's time” Lay said, holding the whistle to his mouth..

 

The coin was tossed in the air and...

 

“Great!” Eli said...

 

The game started... we had a close fight... 3 more minutes to go and he's 10 points ahead of me..

 

“Ready your final goodbye speech Kevin Li” he said while dribbling the ball

 

“There is still time, don't itch too much captain” I said..

 

30 seconds left...

 

25-23..

 

Everything is in favor of him..

 

“HYUNG!!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!” Sehun yelled on the crowd

 

...”Time's up!!!!”
