Kris woke up the earliest among the three of them, he lazily stared at the ceiling, trying to push sleep away from him then glanced at Sunny who is sleeping on the bed with her back on him.

He stood up carefully trying to avoid Luhan whom he remembered sleeping beside the couch last night when he noticed he’s not there anymore. E searched all over the room and his eyes darted on the other side of the bedroom. There, beside the bed lies Luhan, sleeping soundly like a little child while HOLDING SUNNY’S DANGLING HAND

Kris’s eyes went wide. Slowly, he removed Luhan’s hand away from Sunny’s then gingerly pulled him away from the bed and back near the couch. He made an action of as if dusting his palms then smirked and went to the bathroom, satisfied with his work.

Outside, he plugged in his earphones and stretches, on the corner of his eye, he found Tao sitting on his Kung Fu panda yoga mat 10 steps away from him. He stared at him for a while, beside him is his Iphone and Kris can clearly see that the movie Kung Fu Panda is playing on it while the owner of the phone is enhancing his flexibility..

Eventually, Tao stopped from what he is doing when he sensed that someone is watching him, his face brightened after seeing who it was, “Hi Kris” he waved

“Good morning” the other one replied

“I heard that you training again, glad to hear that”

“Thank Tao”

“Kris?”

“Yeah?”

“I miss shopping with you”

Kris chuckled recalling the times when Tao would cling to him and ask him to go shopping since Kris, among others has the best fashion taste even now.

“We can do that some other time”

“Really?”

“I can’t promise you but we’ll see.”

“Well at least you are considering it, not like before, you pretended like you don’t hear me”

“I see. Well, I’ll keep going, see you at breakfast”

“Ne. be careful.”

Kris blasted EXOPLANET’s Let Out The Beast on his ipod then started jogging around the track and field course, occasionally singing along while he jogged.

Inside Kris’s room, Luhan reached for the invisible hand that he knew he was holding before he went to dreamland, with his eyes half-closed, he tried to get up but ended bumping his head in the center table... “Owww, Umma!!!!” he curled into a ball, rolling inside his sleeping bag while holding his pained forehead.

“Best friend? Gwaenchana?” Sunny sleepily asked

“It hurts”

“Omo, you poor kid, where do you think you are taking the table?”

“I didn’t notice it!”

“Arasso. Arasso. Wait, I’ll get an ice bag for you.”

She quickly slipped from bed and passed by Kris’s bookshelf when she noticed a picture frame with Kris and a girl, beside are stacks of magazines with the same girl from the picture on the centerfold.

“Lulu?”

“Yes?” he glanced up to her, still holding his forehead

“Who is she?”

“Who?”

She went to him and took the photo with her. “This girl”

Luhan studied the picture for three seconds then beamed at her after recognizing the girl. “Ara Go Ara.”

“Go Ara?”

“Yuph.” He took the picture from Sunny and stared at it. “I really envy Kris for having her. She’s the most perfect lady ever.”

“She really looks beautiful.”

“Having a crush on her too? Haha”

“Uh?”

“Too bad she belongs to Kris.”

“I don’t get it”

“She’s uhm.. Kris’s first ever and only girlfriend and love”

“Seriously? I never thought that guy already had a girlfriend”

“With his attitude now, yeah that seems so impossible” he snickered, “But Kris is different before. Back then he is as crazy like us and because he is a the basketball team’s captain, all girls swoon over him, all except Ara”

“Whoa. Tell me more. Sounds very interesting”

The two of them both sat on the couch, forgetting that Luhan’s head is hurting at all.

“Does this happened just last year?”

“Nope. We were seniors in SM Junior High.. Middle School as to what you call it in the US. Kris is popular with girls and still popular today... One day we are all merry-making at the park when we spotted her, sitting and knitting under the big willow tree. She is the most beautiful girl we’ve ever seen, so innocent and pure. And for the first time, we saw Kris staring at a girl all the time.”

“And then?”

“He tried to talk to her, show off is the right term but she only gave him cold shoulders. Kris didn’t give up though. He persuades her everyday once he learned where she is studying, bringing flowers for here and even writing song lyrics with the help of Lay in composing.”

“Why does that sound so unreal to me? I never thought he could be that romantic”

“haha. Well he looks like having a permanent face but when it comes to Ara, he transforms into Greasy Kreesy, well that’s what we call him then. Anyway, time passed and he succeeded in wooing her. Did you know that he even used us? We helped him set up the school’s rooftop into a candle-lit-restaurant-like-place. We even serenaded them while they were eating with Lay playing the guitar, and Chanyeol with the drums, Suho with the keyboards, Chen, D.O. Baek and I with the vocals. Whereas the others played the roles of restaurant crews, Xiumin the master chef, Tao the head barista, then Kai and Sehun, well you know them right? They prepared these cardboards with writings and while the two were eating their desserts, Kai and Sehun appeared showing the cardboards one by one which says “GO-ARA-SARANGAHE-WILL-YOU-BE-MY-GIRL?”

“He did that?! No Joke?!”

“Unbelievable, but yes.”

“So, they are still together now?”

“Does it look like it?”

“I don’t know, do I?”

“Of course you don’t. Uhm. No they aren’t”

“Huh? Wae? They seem to be like the best couple!”

“They dated for 6 months, but before our graduation, Ara mysteriously vanished. Kris had gone through depression for a month. He contacted her every day, hoping that she will reply to him but there was none. We worried for him so we tried our best to make him happy. He played basketball longer than before just to keep the thoughts of her away from his mind.”

“But the magazines?”

“In our freshman in Senior High, the two of us went to a magazine store, I asked him to help me buy manga but our intention changed when we saw on one of the shelves the first ever magazine with Ara on the centerfold. That day, we searched about her in the net and found out that she became an actress. So that reason why she cut her communication with him is that, and the fact that her company forbids her to date”

“Aish! That company ! Yah, bestfriend, do you think if he will meet her again, there will be a big chance that he’ll be more inspired to play again?”

“I don’t know, maybe”

“You haven’t changed at all, still persistent and passionate at basketball”

Kris was seating on one of the bleachers, towel hanging around his neck while drinking water from his tumbler. He immediately stopped when he heard her, he can’t believe it. Is he hallucinating? He wiped his mouth and looked behind him.

There standing before him is a goddess with the same angelic face and warm smile.

“Ara.” He said

“Hi Kris..”

Kris was at lost as to what he should say or do so he remained in his position whilst staring at her.

“I miss you.” She said and hugged him tight

He looked down at the girl who had abandoned him for the sake of being an actress, at first he wants to shove her away but never, never did he even thought of hurting her.. Memories of the past engulfed him and yet something in the present seems to confuse him...

“I miss you too” he said and her shiny long black hair.

“Ara. Why did you left?” he asked after releasing her

“I’m sorry Kris…I will never leave you again” she said and pecked his lips...
