Half an hour later, all the food was prepared.
“Dinner!” You called. Suho turned the TV off and Exo-K entered the kitchen.
“What’s that yummy smell?” D.O. asked.
“That would be my cooking.” You said, slightly proud.
“No way, Star. You cook?” Kai smirked as he sat down at the table. You snorted and crossed your arms, “Don’t underestimate my capabilities.” “Never did.” Kai picked up his spoon.
“Sit down and eat with us, Star! You must be hungry!” Suho smiled and patted the seat next to him. You realized you were starving. You sat at the end of the table next to Suho and Kai.
“Thank you for the food, Star!” Sehun beamed as he waved the spoon around. You were glad he had gotten over the whole pepper spray ordeal. You wouldn’t know how to explain the situation to a psychiatrist, if he had needed one. “You’re welcome.” You began to eat.
The boys immediately dug into their food. You stopped eating and watched them slurp their noodles and chow down the rice. *It’s like they’ve never eaten food before…*
Kai noticed you staring. “Why aren’t you eating?”
“It’s just…weird.” You said. “What is?” He asked.
“That aliens eat regular food.” You replied.
Kai raised an eyebrow, “Then what would we eat?”
You shrugged, “I don’t know…humans?”
“Ugh, that’s disgusting.” D.O. made a face.
“I’m just saying…that’s the kind of aliens I’ve seen on TV. The ones who eat human bodies and have 6 arms underneath their normal-looking bodies…speaking of,” You squinted suspiciously at Kai, “You don’t have to 6 legs hidden underneath that shirt of yours, do you?”
He raised an eyebrow and leaned his face closer to yours, “Would you like to check?”
“No thanks.” You quickly went back to eating.
Kai chuckled, “You know alien is not a word for mutant freak. It just describes someone that isn’t from your world.”
“I know…” You mumbled. “It’s still bizarre though…”
“Well to us, you’re the odd one.” He said.
“Yeah, you’re very strange.” D.O. said.
“How so?” You questioned. “You’re just not like us.” He simply said.
“I could say the same about you.” You muttered. You looked from face to face. “I just realized…I don’t know any of your names.” The boys stopped eating and looked at each other. “If you’re going to live under my roof, I have to at least know your names, right? Unless you want me to call you Alien 1, Alien 2…” You glanced around.
Suho cleared his throat, “You’re right. I’m sorry. That was rude of us. I’ll start off. I’m Exo-K’s leader Suho.”
“Nice to meet you.” You held out your hand. He gave it an inquiring look. You realized that that may not be the way their citizens greeted each other. “Er, you’re supposed to shake my hand. Like this.” You took his hand and shook it. He jumped as a zap of electricity shot up his arm.
Suho looked at you, stunned. You smiled, “See? This is how you greet each other.” He continued to stare at you then he blurted, “Do you have magic powers?!” “Huh?” You gave him a puzzled look. “Never mind.” Suho shook his head.
