D.O. hated heavy atmospheres and tried to lighten up the mood. “Come on guys! Let’s do something! It’s a party! Why aren’t we doing anything?! The cake is melting!”

“MY CAKE!” Sehun ran over. You pulled away from Suho and all of you walked towards the cake. “NO! NO! NO! PLEASE DON’T MELT! STAR DIDN’T EAT YOU YET!” Sehun blew all over the cake to try to ‘freeze’ it.

You laughed, “Did you buy the cake, Sehun?” “I did! I picked it out all by myself!” He proudly smiled.

“It’s very beautiful. I like it that it’s…a star.” You chuckled.

“It’s you~” Sehun sweetly cooed.

“That sounds wrong. That means she’s eating herself!” D.O. pointed out.

Sehun’s face fell. “Hey, don’t be pessimistic.” Suho comfortingly patted Sehun’s back. “It’s all right. It’s the thought that counts.”

“I like the fact that the cake is shaped like a star. Thank you.” You beamed. Sehun grinned. No one else’s opinions mattered. If you liked it, he was content.

You were about to blow on the candles but paused. You tilted your head, baffled. *Why are there only 8 candles on the cake?* “Quickly blow out the candles!” The boys shouted. You snapped out of your wonder *Oh well. Who cares.* You lowered your head and blew the candles out.

“HURRAH!” Party poppers exploded in the air.

You cupped your hands over your ear at the loud noise but laughed merrily.

“Happy Birthday Star!” Sehun beamed. “Thank you.” You beamed.

“Cut the cake.” Suho encouraged.

You were about to take the plastic knife but D.O. stole it from you. “Leave it to the pro. Who knows if clumsy here will hurt herself again?” He nodded at you with a snort.

You put your hands on your hips with an arched eyebrow, “It’s a PLASTIC knife, D.O. How hurt can I get?”

D.O. shrugged, “Still a knife.”

You rolled your eyes and crossed your arms.

D.O. cut the melting ice cream cake into equal pieces but gave you all the chocolate strawberries. “CHOCOLATE STRAWBERRIES! OHMYGOSH!” You greedily attacked them. Kai raised an eyebrow and Suho laughed. “Star is a chocolate fanatic!” Sehun grinned *I chose the right one!* You felt Kai’s eyes on you and looked up. You blinked several times and his eyebrow arched higher. You held a chocolate covered strawberry out, “Want one?”

“No thanks.” Kai answered.

“Pfft. Don’t regret. They’re the only things that taste close to heaven.” You took another bite and chocolate dabbed your lips. Kai’s eyes latched onto the chocolate on your lips. Without thinking, he reached out and wiped it off. You looked up to see him the chocolate off his thumb. He pondered about it for two seconds before smirking, “You’re right. It does taste like heaven.”

Your face flamed up *WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT?!*

Kai gave you a wink and sauntered off, laughing to himself.

You put your finger to your lips and peered distrustfully at him *Sneaky rat. I have my eyes on you, sarcastic one.*

“You should quickly eat your cake. It’s melting.
