Voice of my Heart
Myungsoo followed you around the park as you made winding footprints in the snow with your boots. He took random shots of you, telling you to stop every now and then so he could get a good picture with his Polaroid camera. He only had so many Polaroids though, so he had to make every picture count.
“Let’s get pictures together!” you said, standing on top of the slide. Myungsoo raised an eyebrow as you threw your hands up in the air. He brought his camera up and took another picture. You looked like you were holding the sun between your hands.
“Well. That’s hard. It’s not that easy taking pictures with this camera. Commercials lie whenever you see people snapping pictures of themselves, and the pictures come out perfect. You have to have a certain angle of lighting, be standing a certain distance away,” Myungsoo went on, but you sighed and pulled your own small point and shoot Myungsoo got you for your birthday a few years ago and snapped a picture of him.
“Hey. Hey. What do you think you’re doing?”
“My project.”
“Give that to me.”
“Only if you take pictures with me.”
“I’m not taking pictures with you. Come on. Give me your camera.”
“No.”
“Give it.”
“No.” You stuck your tongue out at him, making him narrow his eyes at you.
“Give it to me, or I will take it from you.”
“I’d like to see you try.”
You two stared at each other for a moment before Myungsoo came running after you, and you screamed.
