Espresso ShotsTo be perfectly honest, Minjoo isn't listening to any of their lord's speech the moment he yaps about his enemies. He's far from a foolish lord, but his speeches are far for charismatic and rousing. It's a wonder how he managed to rise into the position of Crown Prince, and Minjoo is also questioning herself for pledging her loyalty for such an uncharismatic leader. She doesn't need to think too much.
Equality. The reason why Minjoo throws her head to the ground and pledges loyalty for the Young Lord and not even batting an eye to the other Princes. He is the only Prince that values talent and loyalty, not genders and ranks. He acknowledges Hitomi's prowess as a skillful warrior and Minjoo's cunning mind as a genius strategist. He gave them a chance to prove their capabilities to the world. Young Lord Daehwi is a great man, though she had to admit he's not very good at delivering speeches.
"Lady Minjoo, I notice that you're not listening again!" Minjoo blinks, immediately straightening her posture the moment she hears that the hall is filled with good-natured laughter. It's not the first time, actually. Minjoo quite often looks so lost suddenly whenever their lord is delivering his speech.
"This wounds me," Daehwi says, his palm over his heart. "But since I'm a gracious lord, I shall forgive you. Only in one condition," he smirks. "Please tell me what made you so distracted now, Lady Minjoo."
Minjoo flushes, but she maintains her poker face without a hassle
