rival
Espresso ShotsHitomi blinks confusedly at the scene in front of her.
Yuri and Nako only smile awkwardly at her, still holding Minjoo by her arms and supporting the Alpha woman’s body with their own. Hitomi has always perceived that the Alpha pack leader of the East Gate is a dangerous woman with lethal glare and even more dangerous strength and wit. Fits, because she's an Alpha, and Alphas are supposed to look strong and dangerous in front of their rival—
Right. Rival. They used to be rivals. Minjoo is the East Gate's ruler while Hitomi is the South Gate's ruler. With their territory so close, it's only natural for them to develop a rivalry, especially when they have two different ways of leading their pack.
But now, are they even rivals? After Minjoo asked her out on a date just yesterday, Hitomi isn't sure if she wants to keep their relationship as it is. Not after she realizes how adorable Minjoo can be.
Or silly. Whichever.
“Are they going to third and fourth wheel us?” The other leader asks, blinking as she points at Yuri and then Nako.
“We’re not,” Yuri answers her, glancing to a still out-of-it Minjoo. “We’re just here just in case this happens.”
“Does this happen often?”
“The last time it happened, it was on her unnie’s marriage.” Yuri groans, pushing Minjoo to stand on her own two feet. “Come on, you punk! Stand up straight!”
