Lieutenant General Honda Hitomi took it as her own responsibility and led her men bravely to wipe out the ambush the Strategist of the West King's army put for her unit. Men and women alike fell upon the might of her double swords, the blood splattering from the open wounds she inflicted staining the moist ground red, tainting the distinct smell of petrichor with that coppery scent of blood.
Hitomi fought for her life, unaware her men weren't as powerful as she was. By the time she lost her own tempo at the slip of her footing, only then she realized the corpses of her men and the ambush unit scattered all over the battlefield.
The rain mercilessly poured down at her. Only then she realized the lone figure that was calmly making their way closer to her, bringing their long spear carelessly on their shoulder.
The purple-haired warrior had to squint, wiping her drenched colored locks away from her face, her hands gripping the handle of her swords tightly. The figure advanced even closer, still lazy with their steps. Hitomi could recognize them.
