“Out of all things, out of all things, Hitomi,” Minjoo takes a deep breath, pausing on her words while she closes her eyes momentarily before they flutter open again, looking more annoyed than before as they settle to Hitomi’s guilty-looking eyes. “Out of all things you could get, you chose bears?!”

“Why not?” Hitomi argues weakly, her fingers are fiddling nervously with one another, her lips pursed into a slight pout a little too tantalizing Minjoo has to remind herself that she is pissed and kissing her girlfriend senseless is not the right way to express her annoyance. “The bears are cute.”

“They are,” Minjoo huffs, plopping back to her bed, that is swimming with brand new bear plushies. They are all cute, but bears, really? Her animal counterpart is either fox or frog, and definitely not a bear. “But I’m a fox. Or frog.”

Hitomi looks up at her, eyes promising victory.

“No, you’re my Minjoo.”

Minjoo raises a finger before putting it down with a defeated sigh.
