Infi The Infinite Infant

*blinkblink* Wow this chapter is twice as long as usual...

The quaint little Inn was right where Gyu had said it was. A cozy little pink and purple house with a little blue sign welcoming guests to the "Stardust Inn."

"Kind of cute," Woohyun chuckled as they crossed the street underneath the starlight.

Nodding, Gyu admired it's adorableness but he wouldn't openly admit it. It's too girly for a cool guy like him. With its little fairy statues and sparkly stars decorations.

"Wa~ it's so small though. What if they don't have a room, hyung?" Woohyun worried.

"I bet they will," Gyu yawned, "Afterall, there's no one else here?"

"Oh, right."

Arriving at the door, Gyu knocked quietly at first before carefully pushing it open, "Excuse me, is anyone here?"

They didn't hear or see anything. So Gyu peeked inside - while holding onto Woohyun's shoulder as a sign for him to stay back just in case.

"Why? Do you see anything?" his dongsaeng asked, "Do you think it's...Hyung! Do you think it's haunted?" Woohyun jittered with curiosity. The only thing restraining him from exploring further was Infi - asleep in his arms.

Just then Gyu heard a high pitched giggle. Turning around, he pinpointed the sound's origin - the dark hallway. He gulped, "Hello?"

"Omo, we do have a guest!?" the giggling girl cheered and came running in her little yellow dress. "Mommy! Mommy! We have a guest!" she squealed. Seconds later noticing Woohyun, too, "Guests! Come in, come in! I'll go get my mommy!" She jumped for joy and quickly darted off down the same dark hallway.

The boys didn't know what to do. Was this really an inn? Did a little girl just invite them into her own home without her parents' knowledge?

"Haha," Woohyun nervously laughed, "How cute. A little girl runs this inn~."

"Woohyun, she's like five. Her mom runs the inn. ...Is it an inn?"

"Oh come on, hyung," Woohyun pouted, "In my eyes, she's the cutest little inn-keeper ever." From that point on Woohyun would only address her as such. Surely she loved pretending to be her mommy - like lots of other little girls. He planned to indulge her to the fullest.

Meanwhile, Gyu worried about their situation more and covered Infi up with his jacket over Woohyun's shoulder. "They might get suspicious if her mom sees her. It's not typically normal for two guys to carry a baby around at night." ...Assuming that neither mommy or daughter recognized them as Infinite members.

"Omo, Yooa," the young girl's mother arrived. Having been dragged all the way to the front by her daughter. "Waa~ they're just as handsome as you said they were," she blushed. "Welcome, come in. Make yourselves comfortable. How long will you be staying? It's only 43,000 per night with breakfast included. But, i'll make if 40,000 (currently $37.49) for you both since you're so good-looking." She immediately her charm to persuade the two handsome boys to stay.

"Ah, ne! Thank you. One night please," Gyu bowed, not wanting to come off impolite. Though, still shaken and visibly uncomfortable. Though, also, secretly cursing and praising Woohun for neglecting to put a shirt on again. 40,000 won was a good deal.

"Oooohh that's too short, you'll make me sad~" she playfully cried, "Ah, but if that's all you need, you're in luck. We have one room left."

"Yes please, We'll take it," Gyu bowed once more and handed her the fee.

After accepting the payment she pulled out her visitor log for them to sign and left to grab their room key, "Usually we have three rooms available, but we currently have one room in use and another under reserve. So you'll be in the third room on the right. Down this hall here. It has a splendid view of the ocean." She graciously elaborated all the little details they needed to know for their stay. "Breakfast is served anytime from 6 AM to 11 AM. So, whenever you two wake up is fine."

"Ah, yes, thank you," this time Woohyun spoke up as she escorted them to their room. Her giggly little girl following step by step behind them - while mischievously trying to get a closer look at Woohyun's shoulder.

"Wonderful, " her mom concluded, "So, what brought you two here today?"

"Ah yes," Guy coughed, "My friend and I came to enjoy the beach across the street, but we're too drunk to drive ourselves back..."

"Omo," she turned around to look them both up and down, "Nono, don't play," she waved off Gyu's friend defense. "I can tell that you two are lovers~. No need to pretend here." Heavens, Woohyun was shirtless and carrying a baby. But, she wasn't about to blow the fact that it was blaringly obvious. They were too cute trying to hide it.

Yet, her little girl wasn't as discreet, "Ne Mommy, they came to play on the beach with their baby! See!" she pointed to Gyu's jacket gleefully, "I thought she was a puppy, at first." Having witnessed Infi snuggle underneath the coat and catch a tiny foot pop out.

"Omo, so did I!" Woohyun comically spat out - recalling the first night they found her.

"Ya, ai--aish.." Gyu facepalmed, "Don't say things like that," he scolded him.

"Ahahahahaha," Woohyun chuckled, "Why?" giving up the idea of concealing her and lifting Gyu's jacket away.

"Oh my, is this your daughter?" Yooa's mom cooed, "How many months?" Well, since Yooa blew the secret anyway, there's no reason not to swoon over the little angel now.

"Seven...or eight?" Woohyun couldn't remember.

"Ah, she--" Ah forget any misunderstanding, just go with it. Gyu smiled, "Yes, she's ours. We adopted her a few months ago. Her name's Infi."

"Infi?" she tickled her little cheeks, "Omo, little Infi how adorable. And unique?"

"Mmm," Woohyun beamed like a proud dad, "She's really well behaved too. She almost never cries. She's very brave. She plays nicely," he kept listing off all of their baby's good points, as mommy and daughter adored her.

Meanwhile, Gyu stretched his muscles in the background, ready for bed. "I'm sorry, can we continue this in the morning?"

"Omo, I'm so sorry!" Yooa's mom snapped out it, "I'll unlock your door now and we'll leave you two alone. By the way, there's only one bed, but I don't think that'll be an issue, will it?" She blushed, getting one last kiss on Infi's sleeping cheek in, before ushering her own little one away, "Shoo shoo, it's bedtime anyway."

**********

"Hyung, do you think it's ok that we left half of our things on the beach?" Woohyun quietly asked as he unfolded Infi's bouncer and laid her down on it - beside their bed.

"Hmm? Oh, right... I didn't think about that," Gyu mumbled. Obviously not about to coherently answer him. All Gyu wanted to do was sleep, so he didn't care. In fact, once Infi was all taken care of - diaper changed, fed a short snack and back to bed - he didn't give a damn about anything but sleep. He was already halfway to Dream World.

But drunk Woohyun, on the other hand, was a little more froggy than drowsy Gyu - as he explored around their little room. "Hyung? Don't you think they're so cute? Mommy and daughter? This whole place is too cute~."

"Mm..." Gyu only favored him with a hum.

"Hyung," Woohyun discovered a rounded pink pillow, "Isn't this pillow cute, too?"

"Ngh.."

"Hyung, and these curtains too. They're so pretty and sparkly," he admired the light blue fabric.

"Hn.."

"Hyung, I found a music box," he gasped as he turned the pin and played it's sweet tune.

"Hhuu..."

"Hyung, feel this carpet!" he'd announced after tripping over the "cute coffee table" and colliding with the plush purple fuzz, "Soo cute~!"

"Grrgh," Gyu started growling at his irritating boyfriend.

"Hyung, but isn't everything too cute?" Woohyun suddenly realized in fear, "The little dresser, this tiny fairy trinket, the music box, the pink doors? Ah! Hyung, even the air is irresistibly cute!"

"Goddamnit," fed up with him, Gyu forced himself out from underneath the comfortable covers to grab Woohyun, "Shut your drunken up and come to bed!"

"But Hyung, it's too cute! What if Infi's offended? It's true right? Infi's the cutest thing in the universe, right? If Infi lived here she'd be offended by it? It's too cute!" He legitimately started crying.

"What the hell..?" Gyu pulled him down and rolled him onto his stomach before holding his face down against the nearest the pillow, "Suffocate... Your dumb is the cutest thing in the universe. And also the most annoying."

He'd held his face down until Woohyun ceased struggling, "Finally..."

**********

Sunrise.

Gyu awoke to only a slight hangover sensation. "Aaahh" he yawned as he felt Woohyun curled up against him. "Tch, this kid has no shame.."

"Mmmm," Woohyun sleepily replied, "That's right I'm shameless...Now love me."

"Tch," Gyu scoffed, "If you're awake get off of me."

"No, you're too cute~."

*Twitch* Did Woohyun remember all of last night? Was he conscious of all of his actions - the entire time?

"Oow!" Woohyun yipped and released him when Gyu kneed him in the stomach.

"Get off..."

"You're so mean to me..."

"And you're the most annoying to me.."

Woohyun snickered, "But you called me the cutest too~."

"You little--" Gyu went for the pink pillow to suffocate him again.

"Gah! Not again!" Woohyun sprang up and ran away just in time. Tripping over Infi's bouncer on accident, "Gah, oh ! Infi!?" he collided face first onto the soft carpet. "Oow.."

"Aigoo! Woohyun--" Gyu threw himself over the bed to check on her. "What the? Where's Infi!?" he panicked when he found the bouncer, but not her. "Woohyun, what did you do!?"

"Ya? Is she ok?" Woohyun asked as he rubbed his face and hurriedly crawled back over, "Omo, she's not here."

"No , she's not here! We have to go find her!" Gyu frantically checked underneath the bed, "She's not here."

"I'll check over here," Woohyu ran off towards the other end of the room to check underneath the dresser and coffee table, "She's not here either.."

"Ah!" Gyu spotted the closet door, "Ya! Didn't you leave that open last night!?" he pointed out the pink closet door that Woohyun had loved insanely last night. "It's open. Maybe Infi got inside."

"Oh, good idea, Hyung!" Woohyun rolled it back to reveal baby Infi rolling around on the floor, carelessly. Woohyun sighed in relief, "She's here, Hyung. She's fine." He collapsed to his knees, "But, Infi how did you get out?"

Rewind: Drunk Woohyu hadn't properly strapped her in. So when he'd become a loud nuisance she'd Houdini'd herself out and snuck off to the quiet closet - that he'd left open after playing with the "cute pink door" - and curled up on top of the extra sheets.

Exhausted already, Gyu fell back on the bed, "I'm going back to bed. I'm done for today."

*Growl*

Woohyun's unfed belly set off a chain reaction - to Gyu's own unknowingly hungry stomach.

"...I can eat...Then sleep."

**********

Downstairs they found an English style breakfast ready for them: eggs, bacon, waffles, toast, orange juice, tea, etc.

"Oh my God, I'm so hungry~," Woohyun drooled at the sight.

Yooa's mom even ran to the local store earlier that morning for these probiotic gummies that Yooa loved to death when she was Infi's age.

"Infi, do you want to try?" she asked as she tried feeding one to her, unsuccessfully.

"No, you have to do it like this," Woohyun instructed her while stuffing his face, "Nom nom nom nom nom nom."

Infi opened wide, "nom nom nom," and devoured the gummy. "It's sweet! Gimme more!" she reached for the bag, "I want more."

"Omo, she really likes them," the Inn-keeper laughed, "Okay okay, I'll give the bag to you, but be careful. Only eat one at a time," she cautioned Infi.

Regardless, Infi took a handful out and smacked her face with it - pushing all three gummies in at once.

"Aigoo," Woohyun whined, "Infi~? Be careful."

"Why?" Gyu smirked, "That's how you eat. She obviously got that from watching you stuff your face like a pig."

Woohyun glared at him.

"Haha, you three really are adorable," the inn-keeper laughed, breaking up the tension. "Well then, shall I get the tea?" she stood up to retrieve the teapot.

Only to have her daughter come running, "No, I'm doing it! I'll pour the tea!"

"Yooa? Are you sure?" her mom blinked a few times.

"Yes, I wanna do it! I wanna do it! Woohyun Oppa promised to have a tea party with me!"

"A tea party?" Gyu mused.

"Ah? Oh, right," Woohyun chuckled after recalling a brief conversation before they sat down to eat.

*Flashback*

"Goodmorning My Cutest Little Inn-Keeper~. Did you sleep well?"

"Mm, I slept like a rock!" Yooa beamed, "What about you?"

"I slept like I was floating on the clouds~."

Cue Gyu twitching in the background, "You slept on top of me."

"Waa~ What about Baby Infi? Did she sleep through the night? Mommy says that babies can be very fussy and wake up a lot."

"Ne, that's true, but Infi's a great sleeper. She was a perfect angel."

"Wow..."

Woohyun smiled wide as Yooa's attention was abruptly stolen away from him by a popular children's show on tv, "Omo, you watch this too?"

"I do!" she eagerly acknowledged, "You watch it? It's my favorite!"

"I love it! Can I watch with you?" Woohyun joined her on the floor - having no clue what was going on in this crazy show. But, it was cute and wacky so he got a few laughs out of it.

"Waa~ watch this! He's going to jump into the pool of jelly!" Yooa explained things after catching on that Woohyun really didn't know what was going on.

"Ah, he's going to jump? How do you know?"

"I know," she giggled, "He'll definitely jump."

"But he still needs to feed the dinosaurs and ride the rocket to Jupiter!?"

"Right, but he'll jump into the pool too!"

"I'm so confused..." he finally confessed.

"I know~" she smiled, "but that's ok. But, Oppa why did you say that you like this show if you've never seen it before?"

"I'm sorry, Yooa," Woohyun pouted, "I just wanted to play with you, princess. You like this show so I wanted to like it too. It is really funny, though. It's ok. I don't need to understand to laugh."

"Aah, that's ok Oppa. Let's play something else then," Yooa suggested. "Ah, I know!"

"Breakfast is ready!" she heard her mother call from the kitchen.

"Oppa, let's have a tea party!"

"Call!" Woohyun beamed, "I love tea parties!"

*End Flashback*

So, there they were sitting on the floor around a short table decorated with teacups and snacks. Everyone accept Yooa's mom, who excused herself to do some yard work.

"Woohyun, Oppa, who are you?" Yooa asked excitedly.

"I'm your prince, my princess," Woohyun cleared his voice and sat up properly to give off the aura of royalty.

"Wonderful, and Infi can be The Dutchess!" Yooa decided, "Who are you Sunggyu Ahjussi?"

Gyu stared dumbfounded at the little girl, then back to Woohyun. This look of 'Are we really doing this?' on his face. Along with his earlier disgruntled-ness that she called Woohyun Oppa, yet only referred to him as Ahjussi.

Woohyun coughed to get Gyu's attention, "Well, Sir Sunggyu, who shall you portray on this splendid occasion?" never dropping his snooty demeanor.

"Ah, I know. You're ex-boyfriend."

"Oh come on, be a handsome knight, a foreign dignity, a traveling salesman. Be something creative," Woohyun frowned since Gyu clearly wasn't playing nicely.

"Aww Sunggyu Ahjussi, you don't want to play with us?" Yooa pouted.

"Ah, no..aish," Gyu glared at Woohyun for putting him in this situation, "Fine. I'm..I'm..a zookeeper."

"A zoo-keeper?"

"Ne, a zoo-keeper. I keep all the lions, tigers, birds, horses and such." His first idea was an inn-keeper, but that was too bland.

"Mmm, I like it!" Yooa squealed, "The Royal Zoo-Keeper came for brunch!"

With that Gyu suffered through life as the Royal Zoo-Keeper - who apparently had many crazy adventures to tell them all about.

"Royal Zoo-Keeper, tell me about the time that the lions all escaped!" Yooa clapped, eagerly awaiting a fun-filled story as she poured Infi another cup of invisible tea.

"Ah..they escaped? Oh! Umm..Yes. That time.." Gyu struggled to come up with a suitable story on the fly. "Ah, it wasn't that bad. They were only out for a little while..." he caught Woohyun shaking his head. "Ah ne, but the reason that they escaped was that they wanted to play with the other animals. Yes! They saw how much fun the other animals, especially the seals, were having that they wanted to join in. So, they snuck out and jumped into the lake."

"Whoah? Really?" Yooa exclaimed, "Because they wanted to play too!?"

"Yes, they played all day and had so much fun - with the seals and the seals' toys (like their balls and hoops) - that they tired themselves out and went back to their cage on their own."

"Wow~ What a great story, My Royal Zoo-Keeper!" she applauded him.

"Hn, it was, wasn't it?" Gyu proudly acknowledged his skills.

"Ne. Omo, didn't our ambassador friend visit the zoo recently, too? I didn't hear that story yet. Can you tell it to me now?"

"Ah, an ambassador? Ambassador?" Gyu bit his lip, "Ah yes, I escorted him personally. We visited every single exhibit. I distinctly remember that his favorite one was the penguins. A very peculiar man. He insisted on walking like one too. Hmm, in any case, I don't remember many of the specifics other than his way of always adjusting his glasses. And he insisted on yelling both a greeting and farewell to every single animal he saw."

Woohyun was eating this up while sitting next to him. Smiling like an idiot as he admired Gyu's efforts. Of course Woohyun was the better storyteller, but Gyu's stories were so ear-catching - for a rookie.

"Oh, my," Yooa nodded, "Mister Ambassador has always been a weird one. Hasn't he?"

"Yes, absolutely. We should introduce him to a therapist, shouldn't we?"

"Oh dearie no! I like Mister Ambassador exactly as he is!" Yooa shook her head.

"Ahhh," Gyu gasped, "I see. Hm, I think you're right. Mister Ambassador is fine precisely the way he is."

"Yes, he is!" she smiled brightly.

"Say, Prince Woohyun," Gyu changed the direction of their conversation away from himself before Yooa could force him to come up with another whimsical story, "How exactly did you become a prince, again?"

"Oh?" Woohyun chuckled.

"Why yes! Do tell, Prince Woohyun!" Yooa swiftly turned to face him.

*Burp* The Dutchess burped.

"Oh so good, Dutchess Infi!" Woohyun praised her (patting her back for some extra help) before establishing his background story. "Well, obviously I was born a prince," came his explanation - as a matter of factly.

"But," Gyu delved further, "Weren't you born poor?"

Not missing a beat, "Oh dear, yes I was! But a prince is always born a prince. Rich or poor. He's born that way. Oh, woe is me!" Woohyun began fanning himself all dramatically, "My poor mother bore me in such wretched conditions," and faked a tear. "Why must I have been born in such a shabby little cottage. But, it was home. Home sweet home! I wouldn't change it for the world!" He took a moment to hyperventilate and reminisce his fake childhood story.

"Oh, dearie!" Yooa ran to comfort him, "Prince Woohyun, don't cry!"

"But, you traded it for a castle.." Gyu flat-lined.

Woohyun broke character for a quick second and glared at him over Yooa's shoulder. He then sniffled twice and continued the ploy, "Alas, I did. I was forced too! An evil witch burned down my precious cottage. My home and my village were lost for forever. I had no choice but to move, princess. Thankfully the evil witch who cursed me was defeated by a brave knight. But I had no home to return to. So Dutchess Infi invited me to live in the grand palace. I'm so thankful! Really!" He ended it by giving Yooa a strong hug, "Thank you, Princess Yooa! I'll live happily ever after with you!"

"Since when were you cursed? Aren't you the princess in this story?" Gyu couldn't help but point out the plotholes in Woohyun's story.

"I...?" Woohyu gave Gyu the saltiest look ever.

But Yooa was quick to his defense, "Clearly, Prince Woohyun was cursed since birth, and who says that only princesses can be saved by knights!? Actually, princesses can save themselves!"

"Oh! Oh, excuse me," Gyu backed off, "I--I just wanted to know. I didn't mean to offend you, Princess."

"Oh, ok," Yooa sat back down like nothing happened. "Ne, right Prince Woohyun, you've had quite the journey!"

"Oh yes," Woohyun clutched at his chest, "It was so hard," while continuing to pout. "But in any case, Mister Sunggyu, since when did you decide that you wanted to become a zoo-keeper?"

"I like animals," Gyu spat it out as quickly as possible, "Nothing other than that. No sob story. No hard-life. I just like animals."

"Ah, but there must be something?" Woohyun pleaded, "What's your most memorable childhood memory of an animal who changed your life?"

"I don't talk to animals, and animals don't talk to me."

"Oh, really? My woodland friends always come to chat with me~."

"Seriously, are you Snow White's younger brother?"

"Omo! How did you know!?" Woohyun looked as shocked as if he'd been caught completely by the paparazzi.

"..."

"Waa~ Prince Woohyun!" Yooa got up to hug Woohyun again, "Why didn't you tell me sooner? I visited Snow White last week! I could have taken you with me!"

"Really!?" Woohuyn gasped, "You could have!? I haven't seen my dear sister in years!" He cried, "I can't even remember her sweet face anymore!"

"I'm done," Gyu pulled himself up off the floor, "How about you Dutchess? Isn't this enough excit--Oh yeah.." Gyu finally found his excuse to escape, upon smelling Infi's freshly filled diaper.

"Hyung?" Woohyun looked up.

"I need to change the Dutchess's diaper."

"Oh, right.."

"Don't mind me. You two continue your--whatever you're doing now."

**********

Avoiding the two ever since then, Gyu opted to only play with Infi - by letting her run around the garden. Yooa's mother said that she didn't mind as long as Infi didn't pull up too many of the flowers and crops.

"Waddle waddle waddle," Gyu taunted her wobbly run.

*Crash* She tripped over a carrot stem, "What's this?" she pulled at it.

"Ha, Do you want revenge!?" Gyu laughed.

"Come here!" she used all of her strength as Gyu and the inn-keeper watched her snap the stem and fall backward.

*Blink blink* She closely inspected the leaves.

Gyu pointed towards the carrot to ask for permission first.

"Ne, go ahead. It's fine," she told him.

"Infi, look?" Gyu got Infi's attention by wiggling the leaves out of her hands, "Look down here, do you see the color orange?"

"Mmm," Infi griped, "That's mine. I'm still deciding whether it's food or not. Oh? I see something." She knelt down where Gyu was brushing the dirt away.

"What is it? Should I dig for it? Will you help me?" Gyu asked her before digging his fingers into the dirt and attempting to remove the carrot, "Ah? I think it's a carrot, Infi!"

"Pull," Infi resorted to her initial tactic of pulling on the offending object - made easier by Gyu loosening the dirt.

*Pop* The carrot popped out.

"Omo, you're so strong, Infi~" Gyu chuckled, "It's a carrot. You know carrots. It's food."

"Food?"

After that, they went back inside to clean it off and cut it up to prove that it really was food. But, Infi could only have a tiny piece since it was still too hard for her to chew.

"And, that's how gardening works," another lesson about the world complete.

**********

Hours later Gyu began to feel guilty, "Woohyun, we should start heading home..."

"Ah? Oh! Right," Woohyun agreed. Removing his top hat and apologizing to Yooa, "I'm sorry, Miss Yuzuru of The Butterfly Kingdom, but I must return to my home on the eve."

"You're forgiven, Great Woocious Hyunlini," she sent him off with a curtsey.

"Wait, I thought you were Woobert Hyunsworth?" Gyu asked for clarification. At least, last he left, he was still Woobert.

"No, not anymore. Now I'm Woocious Hyunlini! The Greatest Magician to ever grace this earth! Keep up, Hyung!"

"...Ok. Let's get going. Manager-nim's called 50 times."

"Fifty times!?"

They quickly said their goodbyes and thanked Yooa and her mother for a wonderful stay. Then returned to the beach to grab their things and leave.

**********

Behind them, Yooa's mom waved goodbye to, the until now, invisible residents of the other room, "Bye, promise me that you'll take good care of the boys!" The remaining production crew members. Did Woogyu really think that staff'd miss out on filming every last second?

**********

Meanwhile, back at the dorm, Sungjong quietly snuck in with his head hung low. Biting his bottom lip, he tiptoed to his apartment wing. "Shh, I'm not here."

Sidenote: Apparently, Drunken Woohyun really doesn't know any synonyms for the word "cute."

BTW, Woobert Hyunsworth is Professor Hubert Farnsworth from Futurama.
