Suzy didn’t know what to properly respond Mark, as the guy himself had fell into silence whereas keep locking his gaze at her, being puzzled. Whether it was good or bad, but a thing for sure, she had begun to think about when Kai had his uncertainties from the first place. Yet she excused herself, unexpressed, retreating to the temporary lodge as well as leaving the hushed young man. Mark didn’t make the effort to pursue her at that time.

The young lady plopped to the bed as soon as she arrived at the room. Her mind was full of the thoughts— which she counted, not to be necessities— and that was why she reached for her iPhone, initiating to talk in the group chat.

Suzy Bae                             : Hey

Suzy Bae                             : Why are you guys so quiet?

Taking into consideration that her best friends were full with their own matters, peeping to the clock has not getting late at night, she finally decided to do the washing up.

When she was out from the bathroom, the mobile device has been buzzing for a few times, displaying the replies in the chatroom.

Chanyeol_is_Real             : Hey Bae

ohbubble                            : Suzy-yah

ohbubble                            : We’re not quiet just conversating at Baek’s

Bacon Lover                       : Sooj!

Bacon Lover                       : We miss you!

She curved a big smile once seeing the texts, taking aside the drifted question of why one other soul did not join the conversation.

Suzy Bae                             : I miss u too

Chanyeol_is_Real             : Just Baek?

ohbubble                            : We probably dont have to jump into this

Chanyeol_is_Real             : What about us? :(

Bacon Lover                       : U two r so lame

Suzy Bae                             : I miss all of you FYI

Bacon Lover                       : Sooj, Kai’s phone is broken

Bacon Lover                       : So if u wanna talk to him he is now here with all of us

Bacon Lover                       : that’s FYI too

There was an abrupt stillness which hold the chat going on.

Bacon Lover                       : Sooj

Bacon Lover                       : R u still there?

Suzy Bae                             : Yes

Suzy Bae                             : Just say hi to him

Bacon Lover                       : He says hi 2

Bacon Lover                       : wait he’s taking my phone

Bacon Lover                       : oh no he tells me to just type

Bacon Lover                       : Damn it he keeps holding on

Bacon Lover                       : How r u there?

Suzy Bae                             : I’m good

Bacon Lover                       : Good then

Bacon Lover                       : That’s from Kai

ohbubble                            : So

ohbubble                            : Suzy-yah what r u doin now?

Chanyeol_is_Real             : Do you have any beautiful coworkers that you could set me up to?

Suzy Bae                             : Well I have

ohbubble                            : shut up

ohbubble                            : Suzy-yah Chanyeol got this potential lover actually

Chanyeol_is_Real             : Bae dont listen to him please

ohbubble                            : But guess what?

ohbubble                            : Yah I’m waiting for u to give exciting reply

ohbubble                            : Suzy-yah

Suzy Bae                             : Yes

Bacon Lover                       : Sooj just play with him

Bacon Lover                       : Sehunnie has been too excited about this

Suzy Bae                             : what Sehun-ah?

ohbubble                            : It’s a guy

Chanyeol_is_Real             : YOU

ohbubble                            : LOL

Suzy Bae                             : Oppa!

Suzy Bae                             : After all these times you’ve been taking turns on so many girls

Chanyeol_is_Real             : I said dont listen to him jinjja

Sehun had simply ordering gin and tonic for a couple rounds, having Chanyeol— who has stayed reserved by his side after he stormed out from Baekhyun’s apartment— and he felt so disappointed with Kai. He never had been the type to choose a girl over his friendship— but in this case, the girl he decided on was his best friend as well, and it sure made things got more complicated— the palest guy had so many thoughts going by that night in the place downtown. One of it was, he got very mad of how Kai had backed off, fighting for the girl and the way he watched of how Suzy had wept over the guy, was causing he wanted to scream his heart out.

How could he ever withstand to see her like that?

Never once in his entire life, knowing the girl, and ever he saw her ceaseless sobs. What worse? She really cried in silence as her tears kept streaming down. He didn’t know what to do at the time and what to ask, unless he wished Suzy to hear his own cracking voice. And Sehun had cared the best about her through all those times, even for that moment he knew she loved Kai very much, and she’d still had no matter what.

The palest hand put down his phone on to the bar table, he had just making sure that Suzy had being safe on her way and it was when Chanyeol began a conversation with him.

“Do you want to talk about it?”

The icy pair of his has persistently lingered and he attempted to lessen the tension since the older had nothing to do with it.

“No…”

Chanyeol gulped his beer as he was up for another glass. Eyeing to the person next to him, he could understand that it might the best to not forcing the younger to spill what’s on the disordered mind. But, he didn’t know himself why he was also not in the mood to flirt all the way he may, as per usual. The occurrences of the day was enough to cause him reconsidered of not fooling around too much and started to think about get settle—

“May I order you something more challenging, Long Island perhaps?”

The giant caught the speaking tone coming from his left, within a stool gap. As he turned to the sight, there was a guy, almost tall as him as he saw the blonde head was in line with his view. The other’s style was probably more posh than Sehun, even in the all black clothing he could tell that it would cost him months of working night to night with his band.

“Can I sit there?”

Chanyeol didn’t respond as the guy himself moved to be exactly next to him, observing the taller head to toe with his sharp watches. And the giant kept muddled with his orbs widened, when he resumed to inquire.

“What do you say about my offer?”

He certainly was referring to the beverages.

“No, I’m good with the beer.” The deep voice answered fast.

And the guy smirked, “How could you have such cute, huge eyes and sounds very deep, down to earth?”

He, then, spoke to the bartender as he had acquainted utterly before putting a card on the surface.

“Well, your drinks are on me,”

Chanyeol was about to rush and exited the place as he already grabbed one of Sehun’s hands, alongside him. It made him realized that the younger had noticed his conversation going with the stranger. He could hear it pretty well, since the place was not too packed on that night and the seats placed close to one another.

“So, what’s your name, gorgeous?”

He had almost punch the guy right on his pointy nose and refusing to shake his offered hand. Whereas soon he dragged Sehun with full force, passing the guy who was keeping his orbs locked at him before winking and say,

“Hey… It’s rude to leave my bar just like that!”

The tallest viewed the surroundings to find a single tag carved in every stuff possible. ‘Zitao’, was the name he surely would avoid for the remaining days being in town.

“Thanks for the drinks!”

He also ignored to scold the younger because he called out an appreciation to the unfamiliar person, he swore he didn’t want to encounter in the future. And then Sehun had laughed his off the older, for the rest of the night when they were strolling back to each respective dwell.

The sound of knocking on the door stopped Suzy of getting absorbed to chat with her best friends. She got up from the bed after putting on the sleeping robe to cover her PJs. Turned out, it was Mark who had paying a visit. She noticed he already was changing the previous attire with black sweatpants topped with gray hoodie and his light hair was half-dried, smelled fresh out from the shower.

“Um… Can I talk to you?”

She leaned to the doorframe as examining him, not saying any word as of still getting mixed up from what happened earlier.

“What do you want to talk about?” She answered, shortly.

Mark’s ogles have seemed distressed in due to her distant response. He resumed the exchange, nevertheless.

“Do you want to go out and walk in the area for a minute?” he directed to the outer side of their lodging. “You haven’t look around since you got here, have you?”

It took her for about a while before was agreeing and altering the sleep robe with a cream coat.

Suzy and Mark didn’t share any word as they both were promenading through the trails provided at the location. It took for more than fifteen minutes’ walk ahead until they arrived in front of a bridge they couldn’t see the end because it was so dark to overlook.

She was the first to find a signage that most likely would help them to consider of going through it or not.

“I forgot most things here is not in my language,” she said as she was giving up to not reading further.

That was when Mark came forward to take a look.

“J’ai… Um, this line is not important,” the young man was directing the text with his forefinger. “P-pa… Passe… Passerelles? Ah—”

Suzy noticed he was talking to himself, however she was stepping forward to be right next to him.

“Les…plus longues au monde.” He formed an ‘o’ with his lips before glancing to the girl beside. “It probably the longest bridge in the world, as it says, that’s why we couldn’t see what’s across.”

He explained and she nodded for a few.

“Do you want to walk through it?” He asked, motioning to the passage.

She shook her head, “I prefer not to… So, can we just go back?”

Suzy began the conversation, eventually, on their way back to the lodging.

“I didn’t know you can speak French…”

Mark chuckled, shifting his glance at her as he was shoving his freezing hands to the hood pocket.

“Jackson did, a bit,” he spoke about the friend who had performed an act with her, in point of fact. “I asked him to teach me some of the basics as I forgot what I had learnt somewhat in school… You know, when I found out that we’ll be shooting here.”

She was sort of admired this other part of her working partner that she never identified. Well, there was this side of him she had find out just today and it had bring them to this awkward situation.

“Oh yeah, about the stuff I wanna talk to you,”

And it had finally came to the surface.

“Listen, Suzy…”

She had these apprehensive gazes, which Mark could get that it was not totally as bad as he assumed. Hence he was recommencing,

“I was kinda embarrassed when I actually realize the feeling I have for you—“

She never thought of him to be such an upfront person, personally. Except the times when she observed Mark always went straightforward and perfectionist during every scene he takes. And so, she let him spoken as much as he needed at that moment.

”—when I know, from you, that Kai had suspecting me for it… Like, what the hell, it is my feeling though…”

He kept using these gestures to give details of what’s on his mind and she kept paying attention. They both were naturally having this tendency to open up without difficulty to each other.

“And please, please… Don’t make this jeopardize the relationship we already had— I mean, you know what I’m talking about, huh?”

She giggled since catching this side of him was not a thing she could get in any promising days, while it affected him to get perplexed.

“Hey, do you think this is funny?”

Suzy closed as she saw Mark’s slight upset expression. Both of them, at that point, were arriving in front of the accommodations.

“Do you want to have quite late dinner with me? As usual,”

She offered and he has getting more puzzled, which kept staring at her.

“What do you mean?”

“Yes,” she passed him a look as she walked in. “Because everyone’s being burdened to have meal with the idealist director…”

Mark grinned, with his perfect white teeth showing off by way of he jogged to catch up with the young lady. He seized her arm once again, in advance of entering the eating place.

“Let me deal with this, okay…? You just… Please do what makes you happy the most, ‘cause I don’t wanna rush on anything at all.”

And she just gave him a smile in return.
