Grace tapped the small fishbowl multiple times, expecting the angelfish inside to move, but the small creature continued to float upside down, lifeless. Grace's heart dropped. No, no. This cannot be happening!

"Move, let me try." Hanbin, who was right next to her, pushed her aside and took his turn to tap the fishbowl. The fish did not respond. "Crap," Hanbin muttered. "Yup, it's as good as gone."

Panic began to enter Grace. She jumped up from the floor and paced back and forth, hoping that a solution would come to her before-

"Grace noona," a little voice sang, approaching the two teenagers. "Are you done playing with Angel?"

Joon, Grace's younger half-brother, skipped into his room, excited to watch his pet fish swim around. Grace's eyes widened and she looked at Hanbin. Hanbin stared right back at her, and the two knew that they would soon be in trouble. Joon hurried over to the fish bowl and spotted the angelfish. "Oh? Is Angel sleeping?" the boy innocently asked. "Angel, wake up! I'm here!"

He brought the bowl closer to him and observed inside. "That's weird... It's usually swimming when I come in the room. Maybe it's sick. I'll go ask Mom."

"NO!" Grace and Hanbin yelled at the same time.

They tried their best to stop the small boy from leaving, but Joon only ignored them and continued to make his way into the living room. Grace's stepmother noticed the kids and asked, "What did you guys need?"

Joon approached his mother. "Mom, something's wrong with Angel!"

The woman took a look at the fish bowl and her eyes widened a little to see the dead fish. Grace hid behind Hanbin as he muttered a curse under his breath. Grace's stepmother sighed and stood up from the couch, going to the two. She pulled money out of her pocket, handing it to Grace. "Just...go buy him another fish, and we'll replace it," she said. "Take Hanbin with you too since he was responsible for it as well."
