Cherry blossom petals drifted off of their trees. Spring was here. Sakura loved the pink flowers full in bloom and the warmer weather change. She could finally put away the sweaters and boots and exchange them for skirts and flats. It was Sakura's first spring in Seoul. She had moved from Japan since the summer. Though she had to adjust to some new things, she enjoyed her new home.
Enjoying the view, Sakura stopped when she found the person she had waited for. "Ilhoon!" she called out.
Ilhoon waved at Sakura and increased his walking speed. Sakura took a few steps closer to him. He smiled brightly. "Noona, did I make you wait long?"
Sakura shook her head and intertwined her hand with his when he held his hand out. They walked through the pink trees together. Their footsteps matched with every step, and Ilhoon squeezed his girlfriend's hand. "Have you been able to control your shape-shifting?" Sakura asked suddenly. Ilhoon had only recently told her about his true self, a shape-shifter. She was shocked first to hear about the supernatural, but after experiencing the sight for herself, she now believed it.
Of course, Sakura distanced herself from Ilhoon for a little while at first, for she needed some time to think. After she soon accepted him for what he was, they took a step forward in their relationship. Sakura wanted to take care of Ilhoon and be by his side. "Yeah, I'm able to just change whenever I want to now," Ilhoon answered. "You won't have to see me unexpectedly become a bear or anything."
"Well, isn't that awesome?" Sakura giggled before she took a deep breath. "I kind of wished my family was here with me, so that we could do hanami together. I did it with them every year of spring."
"You could have done it with me today," Ilhoon said.
"I didn't think that you would just enjoy a picnic underneath the cherry blossoms and just look at them."
Ilhoon stopped and placed his hands on Sakura's shoulder. "I like doing anything as long as it's with you
