The start of the new term was bittersweet. It was awesome, because I had to see my friends again, and Seung Hyun and I was again in the same class. But it was quite unhappy because YoonA wasn't around. The morning she left, it was the last time I received a text from her. After that I've never gotten any call nor text at all. I was sad about it, since I really really do miss her, but maybe to call from Paris is a bit expensive. So instead of being depressed I converted that into joy by being with my friends a lot. On our first lunch together, we talked about the summer we had. 

Hara was the one who talked first. She and her parents had an awesome vacation since they took a took to France. When she came to our room, she gave us our presents. She both gave me and Seung Hyun sweaters, though mine's gray and his is red. 

"So how was the Eiffel Tower? Did you take photos?" Seung Hyun asked excitedly. 

She nodded. She took out her phone and showed us photos of the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Pont Alexandre III Musse de Louve, and many other historical places in France.

"Was the food great?" I asked.

"Definitely. We often ate at restaurants along the French Rivera. The view there, is definitely amazing. I'll take you there once." She said cheerfully.

"OMO! Really?" Seung Hyun and I said in chorus. She nodded. 

"I'll be forever your slave Hara. I swear." Seung Hyun said, while he bended his knees and bowed. Hara laughed at him so hard.

"So how was your vacation Seung Hyun?" I asked.

Seung Hyun and his family spent the last two weeks of summer vacation to go to their hometown, Daegu. His family was originally from there, but they had to move because of his father's work.

"So what did you do?"

"Picked apples." He said sadly.

Hara snorted, "Seriously?"

"I'm going to let that pass because of the promise you said." He said annoyingly.

Hara stuck out her tounge but apologized in the end, "So your family owns an orchard?" 

He nodded. "Our family, the Song, are famous in Daegu because of the hectares of apple orchard we own."

"So your the Apple Prince." Hara teased.

"Stop it, it isn't funny at all." He said bitterly. 

"C'mon dude, you know she's joking, besides you spent a lot of time with your cousins, so your vacation isn't that bad at all, right?" I said, trying to make him feel better.

He nodded, but still feeling a bit annoyed.

"So how was your summer Tae Min?" Hara asked.

"Me and noona went to a resort." I said sheepishly.

"Your sister?"

I shook my head, "Your cousin."

"OMO! WHEN? WHAT HAPPENED?" Seung Hyun asked, raising his voice a little. They both looked shock.

I covered my ears, "Tone it down a little dude. One minute you looked like about to cry now you seem completely energized again."

"Shut up, just tell me the story."

I told them the story, but the whole time only Seung Hyun was the one who's asking, and Hara remained quite in the corner and just eating her lunch. I wondered why, until I remembered her warning. She still hated her cousin, for reasons that remained unknown.

"Seriously dude, you are the man! I should use that next time on girls." He said, punching my arm.

I laughed at him. When the bell was about to ring, we decided to leave the garden. I slowed down my steps to match Hara's, and when Seung Hyun was a little bit farther than us, I pulled Hara to a corner.

"Tell me." I started, not letting her go.

"What?! What's your problem?" She said angrily.

"Don't play dumb. The warning you told me before." I said, annoyed by her secrecy.

She smirked.

"I'd rather save that for unnie to be the one who tells you. Besides your face would be priceless if you here it from her." She smirked. 

"Yah! What are the two of you doing?" Seung Hyun yelled at us.

"Nothing." Hara looked at him, with a fake smile.

She pulled her arm, "You still have time, break up with her, if you still want to save your face." She said mockingly and left me surprised and hurt by what she said.

I'm beggining to think, if she's my real friend or not.

On our first week, we already had to choose our majors. We had about three days to decided. Originally I wanted to follow YoonA on her dance major, but I realized that she'll be graduating this year. I didn't want to follow Hara's advice since drawing was just a hobby for me. So instead I took a course that was completely foreign to me, but was also interesting.. photography. My noona's first love was photography, so as a kid, I played with her cameras and remembered being awed by the pictures she took. Seung Hyun took a drawing major, and completely disappointed not having the same course together. 

On Friday night, when I was about to go to bed, I heard my phone ring. I immediately shot up, and took my phone from the desk. It was her.

"Hello?"

"Oh, hey, did I wake you up?" She said, in an apologetic voice. Hearing her voice made me even realized how I miss her so much.

"Aniyo noona, I was just about to go to bed." I explained. 

"Oh."

"How was your week? Did you have fun?" I asked.

"Ne,  I just woke up though. I'm currently here at once of the hotels in Paris." She said. 

I looked at my watch, and tried to tell the difference between Paris and Seoul, "Wait so it's 7 am already."

"Ne."

"Why are you early?"

"Going out, there are many things to see in Paris anyways." She explained. 

"Really? How about the places you had to see before Paris?" 

Then she started her story. She told me about the first place she went. I actually didn't much listen to her stories, I just wanted to hear her voice. Just hearing her makes me feel like I'm already next to her. I felt like crying again.

"Hello? Darling are you there?"

"Ne." I said, wiping a tear from my eye. "I'm glad your having fun then." I said, a bit forced.

She suddenly got quite. I wondered what she was doing, was she having breakfast? Was she already dressed? Was she feeling cold? I kept thinking how'd she looked today.

"I wish you were here Tae Min." She said quitely.

I was surprised by what she said. "Everytime they take me to a pretty place, the first thing I think is how would you react if you see those? Would you be awed? Would you say it's pretty too?.. I kept imagining in my mind how it would be like if you were here." She said, feeling a bit sad. "I'm sure it'll be fun."

I couldn't utter a word. She was feeling sad. And here I was, trying to think what she was doing, and just end up hearing that she was sad. I felt a bit awful. 

"I miss you too, darling, you don't know how much I do. At school, I couldn't stop looking at the ballet studio near the library, thinking that you're there, I kept glancing at classrooms thinking that I might get a glimpse of you.. I swear both Hara and Seung Hyun are so annoyed, that they kept telling that I was going insane." I said with a chuckle. 

She sniffed, she was crying again. "And everytime I'm lonely, I just try to remember the vacation we had, and the hugged you gave me at the airport."

"Noona, you shouldn't be sad, you should be having fun.. besides you'll see me in three weeks remember?" I told her, trying to cheer her up. "No more tears my love." I wish I was with her now, so I could hold her just like before. 

"Thank you. Calling you was really a cure." 

"Anytime." I said.

"I have to go now, 'bye Tae Min, see you in three weeks."

"I'll be waiting darling." I said gently.
