Chapter 20

It was 10.00 am in the morning. Sungyeol is teaching his brother, Sungjong some calculations to his younger brother can finish his assignment. Suddenly Myungsoo appeared and quickly runs to both them.

“Yeol-ah, I need your help!” he said as soon as he reached them and took a seat besides Sungyeol.

“What is it?” Sungyeol asked, and Sungjong stopped doing his assignment.

“You know, Seorin’s friend, Hyunki? She’s in Seorin’s room right now!”

"So?” both Sungyeol and Sungjong asked at the same time.

“I..  I want to talk to her but I don’t know how,” Myungsoo said and he looks so worried.

“Well, I have a solution for that!” Sungjong said as he took out his smartphone.

“Solution? What is it?” both Myungsoo and Sungyeol asked.

“Give me one minute!” the youngest boy said and he seems so focused on the phone screen. Both Myungsoo and Sungyeol watches him for a while when suddenly both of their smartphones beeped almost at the same time, marking the incoming of a new notification.

“What’s this?” Myungsoo asked as he stared into the screen, he looks a bit confused. It was then when Sungyeol suddenly laughs.

“Sungjong created a group on Kakao Talk, and all of us are added to the group. Including Hyunki!”

“Oooh! You’re a genius!” Myungsoo praised the youngest, patting on his back.

Seorin laughs a lot reading the conversation. She is alone in her room because Hyunki went back to the university to attend her class and Nara decided to follow her to check on the university’s environment. She was about to give Nara’s number to Sungjong when suddenly her phone rings. Her heart leaps with joy when she saw her sister’s name on the screen.

“Jin unnie!” she greeted her beloved sister as soon as she picked up the call.

“Rinnie! Oh my how are you babygirl? I miss you so much!” she heard her sister’s voice from the other line.

“Unnie, I am doing really fine!”

“Did you eat well? Did anyone bully you? Did you apply your body lotion and moisturizer today?”

“Yes, yes and yes unnie, don’t worry! What about you? How are you??”

“Don’t worry about me! I need to know if you’re doing well! Did any guy disturb you?”

“No, unnie!” Seorin chuckles.

“Good. Or I’ll fly there now and kick his face,”

“I bet you will. Unnie, when are you coming back? I really miss you,”

“Babygirl, I missed you more than you can ever imagine. I wish I can go back now, but my supervisor didn’t let me. I don’t know when will he finished everything, but I hope it will be soon because I really want to go back to you,”

“Ah.. okay then, unnie. Don’t worry. Nara and Hyunki are here with me, so I’m not alone.”

“Oh, that’s good! Play thank them on my behalf. And I need to go now, babygirl!”

“So soon,” Seorin whines.

“I’ll call again, promised!”

“Okay.. Love you, unnie,”

“Love you too, dear!”

Seorin stared at her phone for a while after they both hang up. She really wishes Seojin will be back soon, but at the same time, she is worried since Seojin didn’t know yet about her marriage.

“Will unnie be mad at me..?” she whispers to herself.

It was then when suddenly she heard a knock on her door.

“I don’t care if you let me in or not, I’m still going to enter your room,”

Seorin didn’t get to say anything when Hoya suddenly open the door.

“Yah. What’s the point of knocking if you’re not going to wait for my permission?” she asked.

“Well, at least I knock,” Hoya replied.

“What if I’m not in the suitable state to accept a guest?”

“Invalid.”

“What is?”

“Your question.”

“Why?”

“Because I’m not a guest. I’m your husband,”

Seorin failed to find a proper respond to reply Hoya, so she keeps quiet. Hoya found what he said just now awkward, and rubs on his nape unconsciously. It is even more awkward, the fact that both of them recently were told that they are in love with each other.

“So.. game?” Hoya asked after a few seconds of silence.

“What game..?” Seorin asked back.

“I’m bored. Let’s play something,”

“Hm, okay then! Sit here,” Seorin pats on the spot besides her on the bed. And Hoya quickly took his spot happily. He then notice that both of them are sitting really close to each other so both of them moved a bit, creating a small gap in between them.

“Okay so.. let’s play Telepathy Game!” Hoya suggested.

“Telepathy game, you mean.. one of us will take turn to ask questions, and both of us will have to answer with the same answers at the same time, right?” Seorin is excited.

“Yes, yes. Okay, I’ll ask first. Hmm.. What is the first thing you noticed when looking at the opposite , one, two, three!”

“Hair!”

“Eyes!”

And both of them laugh.

“Why hair?” Hoya asked.

“Well, a guy needs to have good hair. Means, good hair style. And I think guys with hair that smells good are y,” Seorin nods. Hoya then decided he should buy lots of shampoo starting from now on.

“Why eyes?” Seorin asked him.

“I think.. girls with big, sparkling eyes.. are the best,” Hoya said.

“What about mine?” Seorin asked, blinking her big eyes twice. Hoya swears Seorin looks ridiculously cute he might kiss her, so he closes his eyes quickly.

“Lord, save me,” he said, more like praying and caused Seorin to burst into a laugh.

“Yah, what are you doing?” she asked.

Hoya opened his eyes again after he managed to calm himself and turns to Seorin.

“Never. Blink. Your eyes. Again,” he warned.

“But.. it’s impossible not to blink my eyes,” Seorin responded, and she blinks again.

“N-, next! Next! Next question!” Hoya stuttered a bit, trying to distract himself from Seorin’s charm.

“You’re funny,” Seorin chuckles.

“Next!”

“Okay, okay! Um.. What present do you want to give on your anniversary? One, two, three!”

“Eyeliner!”

“Red roses!”

“Yah, what eyeliner! I don’t need one!” Hoya laughed.

“Who said I’m going to give it to you?” Seorin chuckles.

“Well, I’m your husband. So you will celebrate the anniversary with me,” Hoya is still laughing.

“True, but only if we reach one year, right?” Seorin asked.

“What do you mean?”

“The contract says six months.. right?” Seorin asked, and suddenly her question caused a long silence from them both.

Hoya became panic. He quickly closed his eyes and started counting. They both signed the contract last February. It has been one month and a half since then.

“So.. four months and a half are left..” he muttered more to himself, but is loud enough to be heard by Seorin.

“Hoya..” Seorin called him.

“Hm..?”

“What will happen after six months?”

Hoya said nothing, but just stare into his wife’s eyes instead.

At a corner of Blue Café, the famous café in Seoul University, a young lady is flipping through the pages of the university’s monthly magazine. It was released just a couple of hours ago and she was among the first few buyers. Drinking her coffee, Lynn is enjoying her time being alone.

She stopped flipping the pages when an article about Hoya, one of the famous guys in the university appeared.

“Spotted! SNU’s very own Fire Dragon, Hoya being affectionate with a girl.”

Lynn puts down her cup and started reading the article.

“It is nothing surprising to see SNU’s Romeo, Nam Woohyun with girls. But it is indeed shocking to see his brother, Hoya, being all lovey dovey with a girl in public! Well known for his hot temper, this is actually the first time Hoya and a girl are seen together.”

Lynn looked at the pictures attached with the article. Most of them are blurry since the photos were snapped from far. But one of them is clear enough to see a smile on Hoya’s face as he ruffles the girls’ long hair.

“Both of them are walking together with Jang Dongwoo and another girl.”

She keeps on reading to see if the magazine knows who the girl in the picture is.

“According to our source, the girl in the picture is no other than SNU’s Fairy, Shin Seorin. Shin Seorin is famous around the campus since she modeled almost all the designs from the School of Fashion Design. She is also a part time model for some top magazines.”

“Fairy, tch..”

“What is actually the relationship between Hoya and Seorin? Stay tune with us as we keep on digging more and more information for you guys, our amazing readers!”

Lynn closed the magazine and throws it on the coffee table.

“I need to get into the mansion as soon as possible,” she told herself.
