I opened the bathroom door of our now empty apartment to find Sulli in front of the mirror. She was applying eyeliner as I walked in behind her. “Almost ready?” I asked picking up something from the makeup bag to examine it.

Deciding that I needed something to cover up a zit that was forming, I searched for concealer.

“Ready!” she said as I began applying the concealer. “Are you ready?” she asked chuckling.

I threw the makeup back into the bag and walked out of the bathroom. Sulli trailed behind me as I went to grab my carryon bag. “To Korea we go!” I yelled bolting out of the door.

I looked back at Sulli to find her rolling her eyes at me and then placing her glasses on. I grinned and lead her out of the apartment complex and into the street where we hailed a cab.

The cab ride was just filled with me blurting out random things, Sulli laughing, and the driver laughing along with us.  Once we arrived, I paid the driver and exited the cab with Sulli.

Once inside the airport, we checked in for our flight only to be told that there was a one hour delay. According to the woman who told us, there was a ‘special occasion’ that delayed our plane. I couldn’t think of something that would be special enough to delay our god damn plane. Plane issues? Sure but a ‘special occasion?’ Hell no.

Unless that special occasion had something to do with EXO, aka my favorite idols, I wasn’t interested.

Sulli Sighed. We were now seated and waiting an endless wait for our plane.  "What the hell is taking our plane so long? It's been an hour since the original boarding time!"

I placed my arm around her shoulder pulling her towards me. If I didn’t comfort her at times like these, all hell would break loose. "Just wait a bit longer Sul; it’ll be here soon."

"Flight 154 to Seoul Korea now boarding," said a woman over the intercom after another ten minute wait.

“Finally!” Sulli yelled jumping up. “For s sake,” she mumbled while picking up her favorite book bag. I chuckled at her cuteness and lead us to the plane.

I couldn’t help but think of all the fun we were going to have in a new country, a new place, our new home. I’d be able to see my relatives that I’ve only meet a few times, visit all the touring sites, and most importantly, get to spend time with Sulli.

Even though I’ve known this girl for ten years, she never ceases to amaze me. I wouldn’t even be moving if it wasn’t for her pushing me to go for something I love. And also, thanks to her for sparking an interest in me, I learned the language of my ethnicity.

It’s actually funny on how I learned the language because of her. It wasn’t because she asked me to or convinced me to; it was because of her not knowing English. When she first moved to America and attended school with me, she used a lot of broken English making it hard to understand. A lot of people didn’t want to be her friends simply because they couldn’t understand her, but I wanted to and I don’t know why either. I’m glad I asked my mom and dad to teach me Korean though because if it weren’t for them, I would have never met Sulli.

“What are you smiling about idiot?” Sulli asked me sitting down in her seat right next to mine.

“Nothing,” I said letting out a breathy laugh.

She’s still the same old Sulli that I know and love.
