With Chanyeol’s had fitted perfectly in mine, him, Nara, Chen and I waited outside the meeting room. Here at S.M., I could hold his hand freely and not caring due to the fact everyone knew we were dating. Of course they all kept it a secret for Chanyeol’s image, but at times, I really wished I could hold his hand or shower him with affection in public.

Chanyeol gave me a reassuring squeeze with his hand and looked right into my eyes. Once our eyes met, he pulled his famous smile and I couldn’t help but smile back at my lovely giant. Baekhyun and Sulli were inside the meeting room right now conversing with Soo Man as the rest of us were patiently waiting for our term. Soo Man asked to see Baekhyun and Sulli separate from us raising all sorts of questions.

“What’s taking them so long?” Nara said puffing out her cheeks in a cute manner. Although she acted cute, she was obviously frustrated.

Chen, being the person he is, decided to feed to her frustration. “Stop complaining. You look like a blow fish right now.”

I rolled my eyes at the two and just rested my head on Chanyeol’s shoulder. Being shorter than he is, I loved the way my head fit perfectly in the crook of his neck. He placed his head on mine after kissing the top slightly causing a blush to creep upon my cheeks.

As I continued to think about how perfect Chanyeol was and how I was lucky to have someone as great as him, the bickering also continued. From anyone else’s eyes, they would see Nara and Chen as two people who truly despised each other. The reasoning for so was because they never got to see the caring side they had for each other once in a while unlike I did. A simple ‘Are you alright?’ did not pass out of their mouths without actual concern.

Everyone, other them themselves, could tell that they had some type of feeling for each other whether it be friendly or more than that, but neither would ever admit to it. They were too caught up in their ego to actually admit that they saw each other as something other than rivals. So when Chen said something that offended Nara to the extreme, I wasn’t surprised to see his eyes flash with concern.

“You’re a you know that?” he asked a second before the guilt showed in him.

“Well at least I have a heart,” she retorted back not thinking he would speak his next word.

“Peasant.”

Now, no one knew why that word made Nara want to furiously murder him, but it did. Sulli, who was her best friend here, didn’t even know the answer either. And when it was brought up in the conversation, she would ask us to drop it or she would storm out of the room without a glance back. Chen, being too much of a to notice, didn’t see how the word affected her and called her it just to piss her off.

I could see Nara’s eyes begin to water as she turned away from Chen and towards me. Lifting my head from Chanyeol’s soft shoulder, I placed a hand on Nara’s shoulder. “Are you alright?” I asked feeling concerned for her. Over the course since Sulli and I have known her, we’ve become great friends and hurting my second best friend did not slide with me.

Nara, trying to be strong, nodded her head up and down. Seeing that she wasn’t truly, I gathered her into my arms as she silently cried against my chest. I flashed a off type of expression towards Chen and saw that guilt was taking over him.

Even though I had Nara in my arms, I could see that he wanted to be the one comforting her no matter how much he hatted to admit it. As I rubbed circles on Nara’s back to calm her down, the door to the meeting room to reveal Baekhyun and Sulli walking out.

Sulli’s eyes had worry in them the moment she stepped out and it seemed to grow stronger as she saw me cradling Nara.

“What did you do?!” she asked taking Nara from me and shooting daggers at Chen.

He raised his hands in defense as if he didn’t do anything wrong. “I’m fine,” Nara said as her face was being shoved into Sulli’s chest. Not believing Nara, Sulli turned to me with a pleading look to explain.

“They were arguing” I began leaning onto Chanyeol. “And Jongdae here called her that word.”

I didn’t want to mention the word to bring Nara into tears. It bothered me that I didn’t know why she hated it so much, but I just let it slide for now. After a moment of silence, Sulli released Nara who looked sad but wasn’t crying. I could have sworn she did but maybe she hadn’t. That or she could really pull off a poker face.

“Soo Man wants to see you guys now,” she suggested glaring once again at Chen. His head was hung low as he fiddled with his thumbs knowing he did wrong. I nodded patting Sulli’s shoulder slightly as I led Nara into the meeting room.

“Are you two dating?” Soo Man asked Nara and Chen in a calm voice.

The two looked at each other in disgust and then turned back to Soo Man. “Never!” they yelled in unison.

I smirked at the two knowing that in everyone else’s mind they were. My smirk was quickly wiped from my face though as Soo Man raised his voice.

“Then why are the media covering you two as a couple?!”  he yelled slamming a magazine down in front of them. The cover was Chen and Nara standing in line in Disney World embracing. I hadn’t seen them do so while there so my curiosity got the better of me.

“You two were hugging?” I asked out loud knowing this wasn’t my place to but in. Even though I knew that, I still asked.

They both gave me a death stare as I raised my hands in the fear of them both coming to murder me in my sleep over a simple question. “He forced the hug,” she growled out now scowling at Chen.

“Because you didn’t want your face to be seen by the fans!” he retorted back trying to defend himself.

Before they could say another word, Soo Man cut them off. “I don’t care the reasoning,” he said rubbing his temple. “All I care about is that this is bringing a lot of unwanted attention.” He looked up at the two with a serious face. “If you want to act like this in public, then date. If not, don’t be spreading fake rumors to your fans trying to get an innocent girl mauled. I can’t take responsibility for Nara considering she’s not under the company name meaning that if anything happens, I’m not sure if I can help.”

Nara gulped and Chen looked uneasy. The worst scenario crept into my mind. I imagined Nara getting hurt by a crazy fan and being all of what the news was talking about. As the headliner, Soo Man couldn’t do anything to remove her name from the headlines only causing more pain for Nara. I shuddered at the thought as I focused back to reality.

“You can stay around them Nara,” Soo Man said knowing he couldn’t just push her away. “But try to stick with Sulli and not associate with Chen.” Nara nodded and looked anywhere else than Chen. Soo Man than turned to Chanyeol and I. “And how is your relationship going?”

When Chanyeol and I started dating, Chanyeol had went to Soo Man and told him everything that way my name would stay out of the press. He didn’t want anything happening to me so he pretended to only be friends with me and along with the help from Soo Man, this has been possible.

Chanyeol’s smile widened as he grabbed my hand in his. “Perfect!” he practically sang.

Soo Man’s eyes softened seeing that Chanyeol was happy. “Good,” he said in a soft tone. Realizing he was being too sappy, he turned back to the strict, nobody likes him Soo Man. “Remember what I said.” And with those final words, he exited the room.

“What was your meeting about?” I asked Sulli as she sat across from me in an ice cream shop we found nearby. It was two days after we arrived home and my cast had been removed freeing my hand. My injury didn’t take long to heal seeing that it wasn’t too bad and I was happy to have my arm back.

“Don’t worry about it,” she said in response shoving ice cream into . Although it was obviously something that would be brought up sooner or later, Sulli had picked later and I wasn’t going to go pick at her for answers. When she wanted to tell me, she would and I respected that.

“Alright,” I said eating my ice cream too. It was sweet and delicious but not as good as my Chanyeolie tastes. Haha wait…what.

“Where’d Nara go again?” Sulli asked glancing out the window as if she expected to see her. Right now, it was our lunch break on campus seeing as that we didn’t have class again until a half hour from now.

Thinking back to Nara’s words, I told her what I remembered. “I think she said someone texted her saying they needed to see her real fast. I honestly don’t remember.”

Sulli hummed in response and continued to eat her ice cream. I did the same starring out the window lost in thoughts. There was silence between the two of us but it was a comfortable silence; one where we both were lost in thought.

“Soo Man mentioned that he wanted Baek and I to do a press conference,” Sulli randomly blurted out pulling my thoughts away from the oh so perfect Park Chanyeol. I swear that when we get married, I’m going to be the happiest boy on earth. But until then, I must be concerned about my best friend’s words. “What for?” I asked.

“Just to answer question that the media has about us,” she said. Her tone hinted at a small bit of worry but she played it off. Not understanding why exactly she should worry seeing as that she’s not afraid of talking in front of crowds, I disregarded it.

“When is it?” I asked.

She bit the inside of her cheek and then met my eyes. “Tomorrow. You’ll be there right?” she asked hopeful.

I smiled at her knowing she loved to see my smile and replied. “Of course.” She seemed eased at my response and dove back into her ice cream. I laughed as she got ice cream on her nose somehow. Leave it to Sulli to be this careless with her food.

Although I laughed at her for being so careless, my mind kept wondering back to her tone. Why was she worried over this conference?

Hearing the boys sing English kills me. The one that kills me the most though is Luhan's English. I feel he sounds completely different.
