Did you win?| Hey are you flirting with Sunye right now, you |     “Ahh no.”, Hyukjae groaned. She clutched her phone tighter, biting her bottom lip as her brows furrowed. It’s just a text message yes but it’s for Donghae so shut up. Damn, she’s even talking to herself.   It was when Kyuhyun left after their talk did she actually remembered that today was the Physics club’s interschool competition. How can she forgot when Donghae had actually asked her to wish him good luck earlier which she stupidly ignored because she’s.. well.. ignoring Donghae. Grunting once more and mentally punching herself for missing the chance to be a supportive.. friend, she immediately took her phone out and typed a message. It’s almost dismissal, she’s sure the competition’s done by now and win or lose, she wanted to be there for the boy. But the thing was, she’s not sure what was there to say. Asked about the results? What if he lost? That would be awkward. But what if he actually won? Then why wasn’t he informing her if that’s the case. Not that he’s obligated to do so but it wouldn’t hurt, right? Would a simple ‘Hey Hyukjae, we won, we lose’ whatever, that exhausting? No.   Hyukjae wanted to really punch herself now for acting like a whiny, controlling girlfriend. And then it struck her.   Of course Donghae wouldn’t remember anything about her. How could he? He’s with Sunye. The bitterness was much more accentuated now that she had admitted her feelings for the boy. Hyukjae gritted her teeth; Donghae must be having the time of his life now that he’s with the love of his life.   Why can’t it be me? Hyukjae pouted, frowning and sulking because damn it hurt okay. Never mind the fact that Kyuhyun said that Donghae liked her, that’s impossible. Donghae likes, loves girls, and he’s crushing on Little Miss Perfect Min Sunye someone like Hyukjae couldn’t even compare to. She’ freaking hurt over the entire situation and jealous and raging and it’s annoying because she didn’t had the right to feel that way. If only Donghae would message her and then everything will be fine. Well it’s not fine because he’s with Sunye and Hyukjae knew the idiot’s having the time of his life and ahh, she wanted nothing but to smack his face on the wall oh lord.   Contemplating if she should message the boy or not, although she’s itching to do so, her musings came into a halt as she heard a familiar voice she haven’t heard for long.   “Hey babe.”   She turned to him, them, and found her ex-friends, Junhyung and the gang, grinning at her. Hyukjae knew that smile, it’s when they wanted to play and one just can’t say no.   “We’re going out for a drink. Care to join us?”, Junhyung asked, and the other boys had that sly smiles on their faces Hyukjae wanted nothing but to skin them alive. “I’d rather make out with a tree than hang out with you.”, she said boringly, not missing the widening of Junhyung’s eyes and the sniggers that followed as she started to walk away. She’s already pissed with Donghae, no need to irritate her more and—   Wait. Hyukjae turned her head back to the fuming Junhyung and his bunch of insane hyenas and thought to herself. Slowly, a shrewd smile appeared on her face. “On a second thought, I think I might really need a drink right now.”, she uttered to the surprise of the boys and she smirked upon seeing their faces lightening up like a kid being offered an ice cream. ‘Jerks, I haven’t got my payback yet. And I’m utterly in need to kick someone in the face right now.’     -   Donghae’s grin couldn’t be wiped off of his face. They won. By a whooping two points courtesy of his partner Sunye and their entire team, including a few faculty members who came with them to show support, applauded with their might when the winners were announced. Done with the exchange of congratulations and thank you’s, Donghae immediately took his mobile out, typing the number he hadn’t realized he had memorized by heart, excited to deliver the news. An arm draped over his shoulders however, halting him from the current activity.   “Good job Donghae-ssi!”, their Physics Club adviser, Mr. Shin, greeted and Donghae bowed his head slightly with a smile, “Say, this calls for a celebration! I know a good place just around here, my treat!”, the professor announced and everyone cheered, Donghae didn’t had the chance to say no when someone pushed him to the van. He looked back to his phone, Hyukjae’s number still flashing on the screen and he came to terms that maybe the call can wait.   It’s not as if Hyukjae’s waiting anyway, she even paid no heed when he asked for a good luck this morning. Donghae sighed as he let the noise and laughter of the whole Physics team echoed in his ears, chuckling for a bit with them before fixing his gaze on the window.   Another exhale, he bit his inner cheek and it hurt, yet compared to the pain in his chest that was nothing. Hmf, he should be celebrating but he felt like sulking.   ‘It’s not as if Hyukjae cares.’   -   “Oh you know, I share the same PE class with Soyu and Hyosung, they told me everything.”   Hyukjae tried to keep a poker face as she watched Seungri glared at the sweating Minho, Gikwang on the other hand couldn’t bear to control his nerves as he pounced on Jonghyun, his fist immediately contacting on the other’s jaw as he cursed him nonstop.   “Ya dickheads! Stop that!”, Junhyung yelled yet no one seemed to pay attention as Seungri advanced on Minho, Hongki trying to squeezed himself in between them to avoid the fight.   “You’re not even denying it you !”, Gikwang shouted, clutching Jonghyun’s collar tightly, eyes piercing the boy underneath him as he aimed for another punch. “You ! And I thought you were my friend!” “I didn’t—“, Jonghyun managed to push the boy off of him, wiping the side of his mouth and grunting inwardly when he tasted blood. “In my defense, she was the one who approached me first! It’s not my fault if you can’t satisfy her—“ “!”, Gikwang roared and pounced on Jonghyun one more time.   “Ya guys, stop it—“, Hongki tried again to arbitrate but he was shoved by a flaming, and awkwardly enough, crying Seungri. “She’s my first love you idiot, how could you!”, he howled and Minho even had the face to smirk that angered the grieving Seungri.   They were in a bar, specifically inside one of the exclusive rooms rich persons like Junhyung had the privilege to use. Hyukjae watched in utter fascination, leaning on the soft couch as her former friends battled their hearts out, having to taste the pain of betrayal and deception all at once. Hongki and Seungri were both crying, and everyone’s angry that Hyukjae thought she had overdid it when she intentionally blurted out every secret she knew about them, and at the same time had come to comprehend how fraud their so called friendship had always been. Back when she was Eunhyuk, she knew who’s sleeping with someone’s girlfriend, who’s talking behind someone’s back, who’s making fun of that someone who’s not around, and never did she once cared about it because.. well.. never did he actually cared. It was then that Hyukjae realized that yes, these guys were never true to her and to one another, but neither was she.. he.   “Hey~”   She was startled when she heard him,
