C h a p t e r   11  ★

She stopped once she saw the black-haired girl standing by the window on the second floor. Donghae watched as Hyukjae's jaw clenched and unclenched, her eyes furious with much despise towards the girl who had dared to cheat on her with her supposed to be best friend.

"You okay?", he asked, even though he knew the answer was so obvious. Hyukjae turned her gaze on him, the piercing stare unwavering.

"Will you be okay if you see the woman who had played on you and worse with your stupid of a ing best friend?! I was never cheated on before! I'm the only one who has the right to cheat!", she exclaimed and Donghae had to raised his hands towards her as if signing her to calm down.

"Woah, relax. I'm not her, okay? Don't you go blaming some other's fault on me.", he stated but that didn't seem to lessen the anger Hyukjae's feeling.

"I hate her. I hate her so much.", she said with a very serious voice that Donghae got the message even if he won't look at Hyukjae. He just shrugged and put his hands in his pockets as he glanced at Hara too, Hyukjae's ex-girlfriend, then back to the redhead.

"So do you hate her that much you would never forgive her?", he asked, hauling the girl inside the building because if he won't, she might end up creating a fight so early in the morning once Hara noticed she's indeed glaring at her.

"What's with such a dumb question? Of course I will never forgive her! Never ever ever in my whole life!", she exclaimed like a child and Donghae cocked an eyebrow.

"Really? Well, she seemed to checked you out a while ago, I wonder if she's thinking about something..", Donghae wondered aloud, thinking the way he saw Hara looked back at Hyukjae just before they enter the building. He knew she's looking at Hyukjae, because he was not someone popular students like Hara would spare a glance.

"She's checking on me?"

"Yeah, she's like giving you a once over earl--", he stopped once he faced Hyukjae, seeing the tiny bit sparkle and playfulness in her eyes. At once, Donghae got what the other was thinking. He bashed her square on her forehead.

"Not like that you stupid.", he uttered and Hyukjae yelped, palming her forehead which was now red due to Donghae's ministration. She glared at Donghae but as usual, it won't affect the brunette just like that.

"You're saying you hate her but then your eyes spark at the mention of her checking you out. Why are you so hopeless?", he said, shaking his head and Hyukjae pouted. "I meant that she was looking at you like you're someone she wants to grill alive. Did you do something to her?"

"I haven't!  I mean.. I haven't.. yet.", she added, still massaging her forehead. Donghae frowned and pushed her hand away as he took the liberty to soothe Hyukjae's forehead by himself. They walked looking like that, with Donghae caressing Hyukjae's forehead.

"And then I guess that look is more of jealousy, or seeing you as a threat. I have to admit you've become quite popular even if it's just the second day of school. Maybe she feels intimidated."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"Oh the popularity of me.", Hyukjae said with a flip of her hair and Donghae snorted, adding a little pressure on his massage.

"Aw!", Hyukjae yelped, landing a soft punch on Donghae's chest as she swat his hand away. 

"Better now?", he asked with a snicker and Hyukjae stuck her tongue out, but her forehead isn't hurting anymore nonetheless.

Donghae dragged her since it's almost time for their first class when Hyukjae felt another pain, this time that same hurt she was feeling earlier that morning, her aching head and tummy.

"Wait Donghae..", she uttered, stopping as she clutch on her tummy, scrunching her nose upon sensing the sudden surge of pain.

"What now?", the brunette asked, stopping as Hyukjae hold on to his arm.

"Tummy ache.", she whispered and Donghae raised a brow.

"You know you can't skip school with lousy reasons like that.", he uttered that earned him a glare from Hyukjae.

"I'm not faking it,  you idiot!", she hissed and then bit her bottom lip when the pain kicked again. "It really hurts.", she said weakly and with that, Donghae seemed to believe her once and for all.

"Err, are you having a bad tummy? Did you eat something not good for you?", he asked, a little bit of fret crossed his face as he check on Hyukjae.

"I don't know. Bring me to the toilet?", she asked and Donghae agreed. If this was just about bad tummy then she might as well get rid of it. Perceiving they still have ten minutes before class starts,Donghae accompanied Hyukjae to the nearest restroom, telling her to get done with it quickly before leaning on the wall that separates the door of the male and female comfort rooms.

A minute pass before an ear-splitting scream was heard inside the said toilet.
