CHAPTER Thirty eight; mutual understanding

   Every single word that Baekhyun had said seems so unreal. It got my heart jumping, my blood rushing and my mind messed up. I had no choice but to appear in front of the boys with a face frozen and shocked.

   My eyes were round and wide, my mouth remained closed but my breathing wasn’t normal. Once the two saw me, Baekhyun rushed to stand up as his jaw dropped. I had so much questions but seeing him, it stays the same and blank. Awkward as usual. Sehun cleared his throat, trying to knock us out of our senses.

“Is that true?” I said in a very serious tone. The younger one stood up and went out of the room and said “I’ll leave you two alone”.

Baekhyun looked at me and raised both of his eyebrows. “You heard all that?”
I snorted, as if he didn’t know and as if it wasn’t obvious that I did. “I asked first” I said clearly as I walk towards him. He gulped and avoided eye contact. “Are you serious about asking?”

I nodded. I observed him and he looked very nervous. He took a deep breath before answering. “Well then yes” he said.  “Lara, why are you doing this to me?”

My whole world stopped. He says he likes me. I couldn’t believe my ears and my eyes. I felt like dying, satisfied with what’s happening to my life right now. After all the months of pain and false hope, it was all paid off.

“For real?” I hesitated.”And I thought you like Sojin” I played with my fingers while looking down. But he lifted my chin up, making me see his gorgeous eyes. I could see my reflection. “Don’t assume” he let out the most charming smile. “And I thought Sojin likes you too” I pouted. The information I’ve been getting these days.

“Seora,” he chuckled and cupped my cheeks. “It’s you I like and,” he looked away and back at me. “We can’t do anything about that.” Oh, I flushed.

   I furrow my brows, “Since when?”. He lets go of my touch on my cheeks. “I can’t remember.  Sweet hammer of Thor, don’t ask me questions. You’re killing me” He pats his chest repeatedly.  A gigg
