CHAPTER twenty three; bookstore

A few days later, Baekhyun had been skipping school. He hasn’t been around since the day he told Lara to avoid him. Luhan took an advantage of Baekhyun’s absence into getting closer and closer to Lara.

Lara didn’t seem to mind her ex-best friend’s several absences in school; she didn’t seem to care at all. All she was ever thinking about was Luhan.

Monday at school.

Luhan: *getting books from his locker* … *notices a small box with a note*

S M I L E :)

Luhan: *opens the box filled with chocolates and smiles*  Lara…

Lara and Soya: *passes by*

Luhan: *grabs her waist and pulls her close to him* thank you

Lara: *looks at Luhan and the box he was holding* oh, *giggles* you’re welcome

Luhan: Do you want to go out later after school?

Lara: *nods* sure

Luhan: Great! I’ll see you around *pats her head and walks away*

Lara: *smiles and fantasizes*

Soya: I don’t get it *shrugs*

Lara: What do you not get? *looks at Soya*

Soya: are you guys a couple?

Lara: No, we’re just… dating? *lets out a confused face*

Soya: *pinches her brows together* haha wha--?!

Lara: we’re less than lovers but more than friends, I don’t know?!

Soya: Don’t you want to clear things out?

Lara: I don’t want to know what we are, Soya

Soya: Why not?

Lara: I just don’t want to… I don’t’ know why but I really don’t want to know *sighs*

Soya: Oh well then, it’s up to you. I won’t judge

Lara: *smiles and walks along*

Soya: Y’know Baekhyun messaged me in kakao

Lara: So?

Soya: He asked me if I had bandages. How weird? *walks beside Lara*

Lara:*stops walking* he’s probably cutting again…

Soya: Cutting classes?

Lara: No, as in slitting his wrist

Soya: Ouch! He still does? *is disgusted* I can feel my arms, man

Lara: He disappoints me…

Soya:  I can tell *smiles* Do you want to visit him?

Lara: No, I don’t want to *shakes her head*

Soya: C’mon please, I want to check up on the guy

Lara: Can’t you go by yourself?

Soya: *grimaces* fine, I’ll go with Chanyeol *rolls her eyes*

Lara: Good
