Chapter twelve; bet

After school, Lara, Soya, Daemi, Jaja (Lara’s neighbor) and Sojin stayed in the classroom to finish their project in Health early.

Lara: *painting the newspaper*

Daemi: *staring at Lara* You should really go home now *sighs and looks at the clock* Must get you home early before Baekhyun comes to your house

Lara: Why? *smiles and continues painting*

Daemi: It might... be late

Jaja: it’s not *shakes her head*

Soya: Why didn’t you walk with In-na home? *looks at Daemi*

Daemi: In-na left with Baekhyun, Chanyeol and Ahra. Ahra was being clingy to Chanyeol… And I do not like this attitude of In-na right now.  She knows Lara likes Baekhyun but she keeps sticking around Bakehyun

Sojin: You like Baekhyun? *widens her eyes*

Jaja: Sojin, you’re so outdated *laughs*

Sojin: Well, I’m sorry *folds newspapers* But of all persons, why Baekhyun?

Lara: I knew you were going to ask that. But Baekhyun’s your ex, shouldn’t you know what’s so good of him?

Sojin: I try to forget about those. And I thought you like Lay. You seem so close to him

Lara: Lay? No. He’s just a good friend

Sojin: So that’s why…

Daemi: *looks at Sojin*

Jaja and Soya: *looks at Sojin as well*

Daemi: why, what?!

Sojin: He has those angry eyes when Lara is around Lay or other men

Daemi: Oh my god! See? I thought I was the only one seeing that!

Lara: *furrows her brows* Excuse me?!

Sojin: Baekhyun looks furiously at you and Lay or Luhan when they go near you or hug you or smile at you, every bit of interaction

Soya: HE IS LIKE THAT TO ME TOO!!! I hug Lara or something and he is like “I’m watching you, Soya”. So creepy

Lara: oh…

Daemi: I remembered sitting beside Lara, Baekhyun butted in between us!

Jaja: YES! And when I held hands with Lara, Baekhyun pulls me away from her!

Sojin: *smirks*

Lara: what is he trying to…..

Soya: there’s a possibility that he likes you though

Daemi: *nods*

Sojin: absolutely!

Lara: well 50 bucks says you guys are wrong

Soya: treats us to Starbucks if we’re right then *raises her eyebrow*

Lara: *is very confident* Okay then, I’ll treat you all a drink plus a desert from Starbucks if you guys are right about Baekhyun liking me… which will never happen

Soya: Deal? *hands out her hand*

Lara: deal! *shakes her
