Chapter Two

How it Began – Part Two

You sighed as you sipped your drink, pineapple and orange punch, while watching all the other couples and friends dance together. You envied them, you decided, you envied how they had friends that accepted them for who they were, you envied them because their date was paying attention to them, and you envied them because they were having fun and you weren’t.

You sighed again.

“What’s wrong with you?” Luhan asked as he sat next you, staring at some couple dancing closely together in the distance. As soon as you and Luhan had arrived at the club, he had ordered two drinks and sat you down at a small booth away from everyone else. You wouldn’t have minded if Luhan had no interest in dancing but you foolishly wished he would pay at least some attention to you, perhaps actually talk to you.

You weren’t going to tell him you weren’t having fun, which would be rude if you did, so you settled for a simple ‘Nothing’.

Luhan quickly glanced at you, and you could have sworn he was smirking at you, before he turned back to stare at the unknown couple, taking small a sip of his drink as he did. You noticed he was sort of… glaring at them.

Your curiosity perked up as you carefully followed his gaze and found that he was staring at Sehun, another boy from Exo-K, the youngest if you recalled correctly, and his date, Eun Hee. Your brows furrowed and you glanced at Luhan again. What’s his deal? They seem so cute and innocent and…You gasped. Luhan and Sehun had always been close, any person who went to your school knew that, but you never knew they were that close.

You quickly checked to see if anyone was close enough to overhear your conversation. When you were satisfied that no one would over hear you, you slowly leaned in towards Luhan. “Are you…gay?” You asked quietly but not too quietly otherwise he wouldn’t have heard you over the booming music.

Luhan spat his drink out in shock. He heard you. “I’m not gay!” He defended and looked at you like you had just slapped him. “Why would I ask you to be my date if I was gay?” He wiped himself down with a napkin and a small smile appeared on your lips.

You shrugged. “A cover up?”

Luhan dropped his napkins on the table and stared at you like you were stupid. “Are you ing serious?”

“Hey,” You held up your hands in defence, “I have no problem with you being gay. I mean, you’re a good enough eye candy as it.”

“That doesn’t even make sense!” He exclaimed and you shrugged again, patting his back. “Don’t worry, I’ll support you!” You gave him a fighting sign and smiled.

Luhan growled and stood up, grabbing your wrist and pulling you at the same time. “I’ll make you regret those words.” You came to the realisation that he was dragging you to the dance floor.

Your eyes widened as a faster, more club-ish song came on and from the corner of your eye you could see Luhan smirking.

Before you knew it, and despite your protests and squirming, Luhan had successfully made his way into the middle of the dancing crowd and had a hold of your waist.

“What are you doing?!” You hissed as you shoved his hands away, glaring at him. You had a crush on Luhan, sure, but you had morals.

Luhan shrugged and put his hands back on your waist, “Dancing, didn’t you want to dance? Plus, I’m showing my affection towards you- and proving I’m not gay.” He pulled you against his chest with a bit of force and you gasped at the closeness.

“H-Hey!” You exclaimed as he started moving to the beat, his tight grip on you starting to hurt. Luhan brought his lips to your ear, his grip loosening on you just a bit. “The more you complain the less fun this is going to be. Loosen up.” He whispered as he placed your hands around his neck, his sweet breath fanning your face as he looked at you with an expression you couldn’t quite put your finger on. Despite him not understanding why, Luhan’s heart started to beat faster.

“I don’t know how to dance.” You muttered, half shy half embarrassed. You had been to dances before, but you and your friends only jumped around. You never got intimate with anyone.

Luhan started to move against you and you in a breath, blushing. “Just do what feels right.” He said calmly, making you feel slightly better.

Slowly and nervously you began to you move with him, making your arms more secure around his neck as you did. It was like the booming base of the music was beating in time with your heart, you had to admit that it felt pretty good. The energy in this place is what really pulled you in.

“That’s the way,” He encouraged, pulling your hips to move with his, “Just like that.” Luhan was enjoying this, maybe a little too much for someone he had just met.

Luhan just wanted to pull you closer and clo
