How it began – Part 1

It was currently 1pm. The birds were chirping, the sun was shining, the wind was blowing, and it seemed like all the flowers had bloomed beautifully over the past spring days. It was a picture perfect day for any sane or perhaps ‘normal’ person. For you however, it was not a ‘perfect’ day. The preferred word to describe this day would be, ‘terrible’ or, your favourite saying of all time, ‘A pain in the freaken ’. You had never been fond of the warmer seasons such as spring and summer, or a better explanation would be, you hate the heat. It’s gets hot, so you start to sweat. You sweat, then insects are attracted to your sweat, you smell bad because you’re sweating, and all the smart asses go around saying ‘perspiration’ instead of ‘sweat’ and that just pisses you off. Plus, sweat makes your make up melt off. Oh, the list really could go on.

Striding down the perfect stone pathway of your high school, you mumbled angrily as the wind swirled your almond hair around gracelessly. “ing wind,” You muttered again as two juniors walked passed you and giggled to each other, not that you cared, “Ruining my hair.” Your hands flew up to your hair in an attempt to keep it from flying everywhere, but it didn’t matter, you had reached your goal; the cafeteria.

Sighing in relief as you felt yourself relax from the familiar smells of coffee and sweets, you plopped yourself down in an empty seat beside your group of ‘friends’.

One of them, Eunji, looked up with a tight smile that didn’t reach her eyes, curling her pitch black hair behind her ear she asked, “Are you going to the dance this evening, Saerom?” Eunji was one of your seniors, your mother knew her mother and that’s pretty much how you ended up with her. Neither of you got along, you were just there to keep her image in place and for the sake of your mother's feelings.

You turned to face her with a small smile, your attention at a minimum, “I’ve considered it and I’ll be going.” You assured her in the same tone of voice she used. If it wasn’t already clear, you didn’t exactly want to be sitting with these people. It’s not like you didn’t have a choice, it’s more like you didn’t have any other friends, and you weren’t planning on trying to make new friends either. You could just imagine how desperate you would look; you had too much pride for that.

Eunji nodded and turned her attention to her other friends, conversing about how the Korean stock market had fallen once again. You didn’t belong with them yet you didn’t feel extremely out of place, you guessed that’s why you hated it so much, hanging out with them made you feel like you had no purpose in this school.

Heaving a heavy sigh, you laid back into the leather chair and pulled your bag onto your lap as you began to dig around for your compact mirror. No, you weren’t vain, but you did have a strong need for reassurance. You flipped the mirror open and looked at your reflection, your big brown eyes stared back at you, they were shaped with long, thick black lashes and the lids were outlined in a light, shimmering blue eyeliner. You wore a tiny amount of pink lip gloss that made everything look complete and you almost always had your hair out. You cursed the wind again under your breath as you began to smooth out a messy clump of hair that had formed while you were walking.

“Omo,” Eunji put a hand to and you mentally rolled your eyes, the stocks must be bad today. “Is Luhan…? Coming towards us?” She squeaked and all of her friends turned their heads towards the tall boy, who was indeed walking towards your group with his angelic smile pleasently on display.

You spat out your bobby pin in shock and quickly looked in the direction that Eunji was staring at. Your mouth fell open slightly as his handsome face had gotten you feeling flustered, again. The first time you saw him, which wasn’t that long ago since he was new, you could have sworn you felt a connection with him. You didn’t know what it was, but it was there. You had to admit that you felt pretty darn pathetic that you would have a crush on a guy you didn’t even know, worse, a girly looking one like him. But you had a feeling there was something else behind that smile of his, like he was so much more than just a pretty boy.

Luhan smiled as he saw you and your little group goggling at him like he was some sort of model. I dont think I'll ever get bored of those looks. He confidently thought to himself.

Your eyes went wide as Luhan’s steps came to a sudden stop and he was now standing directly in front of Eunji. You gave her a quick glance, you were sure that if she didn’t get her breathing under control soon she would probably faint.

“Miss Lee Saerom?” Luhan asked as he took her hand and kissed it. You could just imagine a bouquet of flowers blooming in the background just by the way he said it.

That was until you actually processed what he said.

“Wait.” You suddenly interupted, making the atmosphere drop in an instant.

Well anyway, i love this story, all characters and the way you wrote them is amazing. I grow quite fond of all of them. After reading all the chapters i feel so sad for Saerom, she really needed some time alone. Then there is Luhan...i love him, but sometimes he is soo stupid that i would like to kick him XD and then there is Lay who i absolutely adore!. Kris and Suho are so patient! haha i love their interaction with the rest XD.

Chapter 35: Every time Luhan made a mistake, the attention was on Lay, but then Luhan revealed the whole story and you couldn't hate him completely. It's frustrating, but thrilling. Everyone needs a Kris in their life, mistake would be less.

Chapter 33: Well, it gave an insight of Luhan's version, we can understand the logic, as twisted as it is.
The thing I like the most is Eunhee, she's so gorgeous. She protects, she attacks, haha.
And the messages from Mina were so cute.
