Chapter Seventeen

Night Time Confessions

“Why are you here?!” You exclaimed, “Again!”

Luhan was sprawled across your bed casually, one hand under his chin as he flicked through one of your fashion magazines. He shrugged, “You’re avoiding my question.”

You picked up one of your plush toys from your desk and threw it at him. “And you’re being a pain in the freaken !” You hissed, “Get out before my parents or my brother finds you in here.”

“I don’t want to.”

“Luhan!” You made a noise of frustration and stomped your foot like a child, “I’m serious!”

Luhan started to laugh at your immature antics but got his breath caught in his throat when he finally looked up at you to see you were only in a towel, your hair still wet from your shower. “Where are your clothes?!” He demanded.

You put your hand on your hip and waved your other arm around dramatically in annoyance. “Well I had just finished my shower and was going to change until someone decided it would be fun just to come in here and-“

You got cut off when Luhan groaned and told you to “Shut the hell up.” As he his stomach so that his face was buried in your pillows. He couldn’t get the image of you in just your towel out his head. How your hair was still wet and a little bit messy, the drops of water that still clung to your chest or the way that your towel hugged against the shape of your body. He squeezed his eyes shut, “Do you even know how I am right now?”

? You looked at him laying on your bed with his face shoved into the pillows. You blushed, taken aback from his sudden statement, not sure if the shiver that just went up your spine was a good a bad one. “I-I get it. I’ll get changed, wait a minute.”

You heard Luhan grunt in acknowledgement as you quickly pulled out black pyjama pants with pink bows printed on them with a plain white t-shirt. No need to be showing anymore skin after that towel catastrophe. You ran into your ensuite and quickly changed clothes.

When you returned, Luhan was still lying face down on your bed. You crawled over to him and lightly shook his shoulder. “I’m back,” You said nervously, “And I have clothes on.”

Luhan peeked at you from the pillows he was buried in before he rolled on his side to face you again. “Good job.”

You rolled your eyes, “You took it too seriously.”

“It wouldn’t be taking it too seriously when I steal your ity.”

You slapped his chest, trying to ignore your beating heart and flushed cheeks. “You wouldn’t do that, idiot. You said so last time.” Putting up a brave front was the only way you could deal with talking about your ity so casually. How does he even know if I’m a or not.

Luhan grabbed your hand and held it, an action that generally surprised you. Luhan wasn’t the affectionate type. “I would do it. Don’t test me.” He said seriously.

“Ugh, I hate your mood swings.” You took your hand out of his and rolled over so your back was facing him, “You’re like a girl on PMS.” You sighed, “No one’s testing you. In actual fact you’re the one testing my patience right now. You should just go.”

Luhan wasn’t having that, he frowned and took your hand again. “Do you have a thing for Lay?” He said as he completely dismissed your little rant.

You sat up in a fury. “Are you ing kidding me?!”

“No,” Luhan looked at you with a confused expression, “Do you or not?”

You scoffed at him and shook your head in disbelief, “I like Lay, as a friend. But maybe I should think about liking him some more, at least I won’t have to deal with you.”

Luhan’s frowned deepened. If you were serious or not he didn’t know, but he knew Lay liked you and he wasn’t going to stick around waiting for you to fall for Lay and forget about him. “You can’t hang out with him anymore.”
