Chapter 26 

Friction 

Eunhee - Waiting at Xuimin's house. 

It was already 2:30am and Sehun was not back from the party yet. Eunhee sat at the end of the bed biting her bottom lip as she checked her phone for what felt like the hundredth time that night. Ugh, where is he? Her brow creased with worry while her mind started jumping to unreasonable conclusions; scenarios of Sehun and some unknown women locked in an embrace in the corner of a dark room. "I'm sorry, Eunhee. But I've found someone else." She pictured Sehun with a careless tone, the unknown women smirking by his side. Her heart gave a fragile and insecure stutter, her eyes beginning to swell with tears. 

Before she could get even more carried away, Sehun had finally returned; opening the door with a sigh, "Sorry I'm late, phone ran out of battery and- Eunhee?! What's wrong?!" He rushed her to side, the thoughts of Luhan's cheating disregarded at the sight of Eunhee in tears, the rarest expression of sadness upon her face. 

Eunhee wiped her tears away with a shaky hand, heat flooding to her cheeks. "I-I'm fine. Sorry, it's nothing." Embarrassed, she turned away from her boyfriend, riddled with shame. 

Sehun shook his head and took her hand in his, brushing a stray tear away with his other. His heart could break at the sight of her with such an expression, but god he had never seen something so beautiful in his life. He her cheek softly and she sighed in return at his touch. "Tell me, I'm here." He whispered. 

Eunhee bit her lip and looked up at Sehun from under her lashes, "Where…Where were you?" She asked as her heart gave another sudden splutter. 

Sehun internally groaned. Why does she have to look so desirable when she's like this. Seeing Eunhee look so vulnerable was something Sehun had never seen before; the flushed cheeks, her honest, glassy eyes and plump lips from when she had been nervously biting them. He swallowed hard, his eyes lingering on her lips longer than usual. Am I a sadist? He shook his head, riding the inappropriate thoughts from his mind. "I was at the party." He answered, slightly confused, "Why?" 

She averted his gaze and took her hand out of his, placing them in her lap as she stared down at them. "Who with?" Eunhee tried to be casual but her voice broke at the end, shaking with emotion. 

Sehun was confused, why was she so upset? "I was by myself, I was looking for you but then-" He couldn't finish his sentence, he didn't want to think about what he saw for one moment longer.  He couldn't believe his best friend was capable of such a thing, to do such a thing to you, a girl he thought Luhan actually loved for once. 

Eunhee's lips started to tremble, mistaking his hesitation for something else. "You were with a girl, weren't you?" She stood up with a hiccup, tears threatening to fall once again. "Have you found someone else?" 

 Sehun's mouth fell open with shock and for a moment, he was speechless. Had she been drinking? 

Once again, Eunhee had misread the situation and took his silence for affirmation. "I knew it." She gasped and covered with her hands, tears finally escaping her eyes once again. 

Sehun could almost laugh, he was so shocked; how she could have thought that he was cheating on her and have that kind of reaction? Where's the brave Eunhee I know? He thought Eunhee would be the violent type when it came to this type of scenario, yet he was pleasantly surprised at her reaction and felt himself soften. "Eunhee…Come here." He opened his arms wide and embraced her, she let out a loud sob, "D-Don't-" 

"Shhh." He rubbed her back and the smallest chuckle escaped his lips. "Silly girl, I would never do something like that." I'm not like Luhan. 

"B-But-" 

"No. There is no one in the world that could compare to you." Sehun whispered as he pulled back, cupping her face in his hands as she gave a small sniffle. "You have my heart Eunhee." He whispered again before he kissed her gently on the lips, "No one else. Okay?" 

Eunhee nodded feebly, "Okay." She sniffled again, "I'm sorry…" 

Sehun chuckled, "You're so unbelievably adorable. Eunhee." It was there again, that unstoppable desire from before. He brought his lips to hers again, unable to restrain all of the passion, he had never seen Eunhee so embarrassed, so shy. "You're such a tease." He muttered to Eunhee before he started kissing her neck. 

Eunhee, breathless with Sehun's sudden lust filled make out session had barely heard him, "W-What?" 

Sehun groaned and pulled her hips against his, "Nothing." I must be a sadist. 

 Definitely a sadist. 

Saerom – Luhan's Bedroom 

The next few days flew by in a blur of pool parties, trips down to the Italian restaurant, midnight snacks and talks with EunHee and Mina, and of course, relentless teasing from Luhan. The two of you had gotten closer over the break, but there was something not quite right, your mind kept going back to that night of the party, the time when you and Lay were on the grass, holding hands while he told you secrets. Except, there was one secret he didn't tell you because you didn't let him finish, a secret about Luhan. You peeked over your shoulder to look at Luhan, his eyes shut and mouth slightly agape, he looked so angelic while he slept. This could hardly be the face of someone who would betray you, right?  

You sighed, sitting up and taking the covers off of you. It was morning already.
