Chapter Thirty Three

Goodbye

It was a little over six o'clock in the morning and you still hadn't managed to fall asleep yet. Not because you weren't tired, you were actually exhausted, but because your mind wouldn't shut up and your heart wouldn't calm down. Not even the gentle taps of the rain against your roof would lull you to sleep like it usually would.

You lazily rolled over, hugging one of your pillows against your chest in a futile attempt to hold yourself together. I should probably stop crying now. You thought dully. The continuous flow of silent tears hadn't given up since you had finished your bath, and that was two and a half hours ago. Crying wasn't going to solve anything. You knew that, but still, your emotions continued to flow - as did the endless amount of painful scenarios of Luhan and that girl accumulate in your mind.

He was with her. That whole time. On that day when Lay kissed me, he was so angry, but he had been with her the night before... He had been with her. Even when he said that he liked me...

Even when I was his girlfriend. You thought numbly, remembering the argument and how he said he had kissed her at Chen's party. And then finally, he was still going to see her again last night...

A sudden noise interrupted your destructive thoughts, the sound of footsteps against the floor boards. Ah. You grimly noted. It's time for dad to go to work. You shut your eyes, even if he had seen you leave the house last night with no intentions on coming back for the night, you knew he would still check. So you closed your eyes and steadied your breathing to make it look like you were asleep.

Just as you expected, there was a light creak from your door as your father peered through. A small, appreciative moment of silence before he closed the door again.

If it wasn't for the crippling heartache you were experiencing right now, you felt like you almost could have laughed. You suddenly felt like your problems with your father were so far away and trivial, like they had happened years ago rather than a few hours ago.

You sighed. I'll have to fix that...

Another sigh. First, I should probably get some sleep...

10:00am – At School

Eunhee ran a hand through her long, thick hair as she slowed her steady jogging pace to a regular walking speed once the school gates came into view. She had been running late this morning, caught up in a heavenly dream of Sehun and cakes which she dared not part with for something such as school.

However, cakes were the last thing on her mind as she walked into the school grounds with a yamn and a small shiver. The left over rain had made everything seem grey and cold and somehow... everything appeared to feel so gloomy, so depressive. Eunhee frowned a little bit. Maybe I'm just imagining it.

Or. She thought as EXO's usual lunch table came into view. Maybe not. She frowned deeper, wondering why everyone at the table looked so awkward and depressed. Even Chanyeol was quiet, worse, Chen wasn't making any jokes. Not to mention, people were missing. Lay, Luhan, Sehun, Kris... And even Saerom. What the hell...

"Hey," Eunhee greeted Mina and the others hesitantly, "What's up? The mood seems kind of.. Gloomy." She observed. "And where's Saerom? Is she with Luhan or something?"

Mina shifted uncomfortably next to an unusually quiet Kai, "Well," She started, "I think Saerom is at home."

Eunhee sat down across from Mina, placing her bag on the table, "You think?" She repeated curiously, "Is she okay? She doesn't really seem like the type to skip out on us."

"Uh, well..." Mina hesitated, wondering whether it was her place to tell her what happened. She looked to Kai for advice, to which he just nodded at her.

"Okay," Eunhee said, "Now I'm really worried." She looked between Kai and Mina, "What happened? No one died, did they? Is Mrs Kitty okay?" She asked, referring to Mina's cat who lived at the house, an animal Eunhee was very fond of.

"Mrs Kityy is fine, but...." Mina shook her head slowly, "Eunhee, something happened yesterday at the house."

Eunhee sat there patiently, her hands folded gently in her lap as she carefully listened to what Mina was telling her.

"I should have been there to help her but, I didn't realise what was happening until she had already left." Mina whispered guilty as she looked down at the table, ashamed to call herself a friend.

Eunhee clenched her fists, too angry to speak at first. So my suspicions of him were right after all. Who would of thought that Sehun's best friend was actually just a lying piece of . How could he have done something like this...

"Where is he?" She suddenly growled through her teeth.

"U-Um, I don't know..."

She scanned the open field around her, searching frantically for that stupid Chinese boy. Just wait until I get my hands on him. And just like fate, Eunhee spotted Luhan and Sehun walking over to them. "Perfect."

Luhan ventured over to the usual table with Sehun, an awkward silence enloping them ever since last night. Though, Luhan had to admit that Sehun had been a lot more understanding than that what he expected. He glanced sideways at his younger friend. Even now, he was still beside him. I guess I'm lucky in that aspect.

He shifted his eyes forward, only to see an angry Eunhee storming her way over to them. And not so lucky in other aspects.

Luhan sighed, "Uh, hey Eunhee-"

BAM

Eunhee punched Luhan straight across the jaw.

"Eunhee!" Squeaked Sehun, rushing to restrain his girlfriend from throwing another punch, grabbing her arms and holstering them at her sides.

"Dude, what the ?!" Luhan exclaimed from the ground, wiping a trail of blood that was seeping from the corner of his mouth with the back of his hand. Eunhee wasn't your average sized women, although pretty and lean, she was tall and broad in the shoulders and bones. There was a reason why she was captain of girls boxing team in middle school. Her punches packed heavy.

"You think you can just cheat on Saerom and get away with it?! You selfish bastard!" She cursed, struggling fiercly against Sehun's restraint. "She trusted you!"

"Eunhee, calm down!" Sehun pleaed.

All of the students in the field were suddenly staring at Luhan and Eunhee by this point, whispering eagerly into each others ears about what they had just witnessed. But Luhan didn't care about the stares, he didn't care that Eunhee knocked him on his in one punch, that's not what he really cared about, that's not what really hurt him. What he cared about was what Eunhee said, and the truth that was buried in it. You had trusted Luhan, and now he had messed it all up.

"Luhan!" Kris had now jogged over to the scene, his eyes zipping back and forth between Eunhee and Luhan. "Are you alright?" He offered a hand to help him up.

Luhan sighed, slapping Kris's hand away. "I'm fine." He grumbled, coming to his feet on his own.

" this," He muttered, "I'm going home."

"That's right!" Eunhee started again, "And don't you dare show your face around Saerom ever again!"

Kris ignored Eunhee threats, it didn't matter what Luhan did, Kris was never going to abandoned one his friends, one of his brothers. He reached out to him, "Luhan, dude-"

"Forget it Kris," Luhan sighed, "I'll see you later."

As Luhan stalked out of the school gates, hands deep in his pockets with a gloomy scowl upon his face, there was only one thing on his mind. You.

How could he have ed up this bad? How were things going so well, so perfectly well. He ran a frantic hand through his hair. He had been going crazy since last night, he hadn't even slept yet. The only reason he actually showed up to school was because he was relying on that slim probability that you were going to show up. I should have known she wouldn't come. I hurt her really bad...

He sighed. Sehun's right. I need to talk to her... But she said she didn't want to see me... That can't be right. He shook his head, frowning. She said she loved me so there's still a chance, right?

She'll forgive me, right?

When he couldn't give himself the answer he wanted, he groaned out loud "Ugh! This is so ing frustrating!" He grumbled, ignoring the strange stares he was receiving from the people on the sidewalk, they were the least of his concerns right now.

This is so . He shoved his hands back into his pockets. There's no way around it. I'll have to go and see her, tonight. I'll talk to her, I'll convince her... I'll do anything.

He let out another frustrated sigh.

This is all Yunko's fault... And Lay's. If I had just stopped him from going to her house last night. If I had just- Ugh.

This ing .

Luhan - Last Night – Before Saerom's arrival.

"I'm serious!" Luhan growled into his phone, his patience wearing thin at the sound of the annoying voice. Why can't she just leave me alone?!

"So am I." Purred Yunko from the other end, glad she was finally getting some attention.

"I'm not going to see you." Luhan repeated sternly into the phone, "And if you call me again, I'll get a restraining order against you."

"Haha." Yunko laughed. He's adorable. "Your sense of humor was always lacking, Luhan, but I have to say it's improved a bit."

"Ugh." Luhan groaned, throwing himself onto his bed, "What do you want? How clear do I have to be? I don't want to see you anymore." I have Saerom now, I need to be there for her. I need to be better.

"I get it." Yunko chimed, obviously not taking this as seriously as Luhan was, "But I just want you to be sure." He could practicaly hear the smirk in her voice, "I'm not a fan of cat and mouse, if you really don’t want to 'see me' anymore, then all you have to do is come down here and tell that to my face."

Luhan stayed silent, pinching the bridge of his nose as he squeezed his eyes shut in frustration. "This is just ridiculous." He muttered in disbelief.

"Because if I recall correctly," Yunko continued, ignoring him, "The last time you said you didn't want to meet me, you ended up making out with me in the kitchen. Not that I'm complaining, I miss my little Lu-toy."

Luhan's jaw clenched at the memory, "That was a mistake I'm not going to make again." He warned, his voice low and deadly.

Yunko was surprised at his animosity, but not convinced, "Really? If so, come and see me. And if you really don't want anything to with me after that, then I promise I will leave you alone."

Luhan sighed. This is for Saerom, all for Saerom. Just go in there and tell her piss off and then everything will be okay. "Fine." He grunted into the phone. I'm stronger now. I can do this.<

Chapter 33: Well, it gave an insight of Luhan's version, we can understand the logic, as twisted as it is.
The thing I like the most is Eunhee, she's so gorgeous. She protects, she attacks, haha.
And the messages from Mina were so cute.
