Chapter 9

In the halls, Yoona saw Seohyun there, ar her locker. Yoona smiled at how Seohyun was frustated at her lock, turning the digits, but to no avail. Yoona couldn't remember the amount of times she had to open Seohyun's locker because Seohyun was struggling. Shaking her head, Yoona walked over and stood beside Seohyun, a little too close. "Having trouble?" Yoona asked teasingly.

Seohyun jumped slightly at the distance between her and Yoona, but managed to stay calm as she focused back on her lock, "Yes, I am." Yoona moved Seohyun slightly away from the locker before taking the lock into her hands. "What's your locker number?"

Seohyun looked around and saw people walking in the halls. She didn't want to give her locker code to everyone, so she leaned in to Yoona's ear and began to whisper the code into Yoona's ear. Yoona tensed up slightly, feeling Seohyun's soft lips on her ear, but she managed to get the lock open for Seohyun.

Seohyun smiled and suddenly hugged Yoona, "Thanks!" she thanked Yoona. Yoona giggled and hugged Seohyun around the waist, returning the hug. "No problem, it's easy, you just don't know how to do it." The younger girl leaned out of the hug slightly, "Yah!" she said, hitting Yoona softly on the shoulder.

Yoona giggled, "Kidding." she said, releasing Seohyun from her hug. Both girls missed the warmth they both gave off when their bodies rested against each other. Seohyun quickly gathered her stuff from her locker, then turned to Yoona, "Let's go to class." she smiled.

Making a bold move, Yoona held Seohyun's free hand, interlocking it with hers. Confused as to why Yoona suddenly held her hand, Seohyun looked around for Yuri, "Is Yuri here?" Seohyun asked softly. Yoona shook her head, "Nope." Seohyun looked at Yoona, "Then why are you holding my ha--" Yoona interrupted her, "Because I can, now come on, we are going to be late." Yoona stated before walking to class with Seohyun's hand interlocked with hers.

Jessica woke up, but felt a body hugging hers. Opening her eyes slowly, she realized that Yuri was hugging her around the waist as her back faced the younger girl. Jessica smiled slightly, liking the feeling of Yuri's embrace. 

'She probably does this to every girl she's played with.' Jessica's mind thought bitterly, making the smile on her face immediately go away.

Jessica slowly pried Yuri's arm off her waist and turned slightly, moving away from Yuri. She faced Yuri, and saw the girl sleeping peacefully. Jessica traced Yuri's face with her eyes, every little detail, to her nose, her eyes, her lips. 

'It's a shame you're a player, you're pretty,' Jessica thought. She widened her eyes as her thought, 'No, bad Jessica, you cannot fall for her.' Jessica mentally scolded herself.

Yuri began to shift around the bed, and Jessica pretended to be asleep, turning her back on Yuri. Yuri, who had woken up, saw Jessica's body slightly far away from her own. Biting her lip, Jessica stayed still and silent, pretending to be asleep.

Yuri, who was still sleepy, wanted to sleep more. Therefor, she held Jessica's waist again and pulled the older girl into her embrace, yet again. Jessica softly gasped before shutting , not wanting Yuri to know she was awake.

Yuri adjusted their position to make it more comfortable before laying her head in the crook of Jessica's neck. Jessica's breathing became unstable, feeling the closeness of Yuri. I mean, Yuri's body was glued to Jessica's, who's heart wouldn't go unstable?

Meanwhile, Yuri inhaled Jessica's sweet scent, a sweet vanilla scent. She felt Jessica's odd breathing, if you're asleep, isn't your breathing supposed to be steady? "Jessica, you awake?" Yuri asked moving her head away from Jessica's neck.

Jessica, who knew she had been caught, pretended to just wake up, "Now I am." she replied, still not facing Yuri. "Turn around." Yuri ordered, wanting to see the older girl's face. "Uhm.. Yuri, I would, but our bodies will be too close to each other, don't you think?" Jessica stated awkwardly.

Yuri shrugged, "You're the one who wanted to cuddle." Jessica sighed and turned around, it seemed as if the girls were closer than before, their faces only an inch apart. "Morning." Yuri smiled. Jessica couldn't help but smile back, "Morning, and thanks for being my cuddle buddy." Yuri smiled widely, showing off her white teeth, "I'll always be your cuddle buddy. You're like a little teddy bear." Jessica gasped playfully, "You're calling me furry?" Yuri rolled her eyes at Jessica's playfulness, "No. I am not calling you furry, but we should cuddle again. When you're not sick." Yuri stated.

Jessica shrugged, "I cuddle when I'm sick, anyways, let's get up so we can go eat some breakfast." she said, pushing the blanket away so she could get up and away from Yuri. As soon as she got up, her body got cold, missing the warmth of Yuri. Yuri mentally frowned when it seemed Jessica was happy to move away from Yuri.

Yuri's eyes widened when she saw Jessica stripping off of her pajamas, leaving her only in her tank top and short shorts. Jessica smiled inwardly, seeing the shocked Yuri, but she played it off, "What? It's hot now." "And you really had to strip off your clothes like that?" "We are both girls, right?" "But aren't you afraid of stripping in front of a player?" Yuri asked. Jessica eyed Yuri, "Nope, it's not like you're going to do anything to me, right?"

Yuri's heart clenched, she felt guilty all of a sudden. But, she nodded. "I'm not going to do anything." she restated to herself. It was Jessica's turn for her heart to clench, she didn't like how Yuri was lying to her, but she smiled, "Ok, hurry up, let's get ready then eat."

Jessica gave Yuri an extra tooth brush, but instead of using that, she took the one that Jessica was currently using to brush her teeth. "Hey!" Jessica exclaimed, muffled by the foam. Yuri smirked and shrugged, "Both girls, right?" she stated as she brushed her teeth with Jessica's toothbrush.

Jessica rolled her eyes and spit out the remaining foam, washing with water, then her face. Yuri smiled as she finished brushing her teeth, that was an indirect kiss, right? "So, Jessica, can you even cook?" Yuri asked as they walked to the kitchen.

Apparently, they were the only ones home that day. It was a Friday, Krystal had gone to school while Mrs. Jung went to work. Jessica shook her head, "Nope, let's just eat cereal." she stated. Yuri scoffed, "You're kidding, right?" Jessica shrugged, "Not kidding. Let's eat." she said, pulling out a bowl. 

Yuri stopped Jessica by grabbing her wrist softly. Jessica looked up, "What?" Yuri smiled, "I know how to cook, you can just watch me, or you could help." Jessica sighed and put the bowl back, "But cereal is so much easier." she complained, setting herself on the counter next to Yuri who was standing infront.

"Lazy Jessica.." Yuri mumbled. "I heard that." Yuri stuck her tongue out at Jessica, "For someone who's sick, you are oddly normal." Jessica shrugged, "I'm a normal person." "You sure about that?" "Yah!" Yuri giggled to herself as she continued to cook the foods, "Kidding."

'How could Yuri act like she knows nothing about the bet? Are her feelings genuine? Does she actually care about me enough to skip school for me? No.' Jessica thought to herself, watching Yuri move around the kitchen, cooking foods.

"Ta da!" Yuri announced, holding out something that looks like bread. A very deformed, messed up bread. Jessica raised an eyebrow, "What is that?" she asked. Yuri sat the plate down next to Jessica on the counter, grabbing a fork and picking up a piece. She held it out to Jessica, who took the piece of bread in . Jessica's cheeks slightly warmed up, realizing that Yuri had fed her, but thankfully, Yuri didn't notice.

Yuri waited for Jessica's reaction. Then, she saw Jessica raise her eyebrows in satisfaction, "Woah, daebak! What is it?" Yuri put her finger to her lips, "Secret. My mom used to make this for me when I was little." Jessica frowned when she heard about Yuri's mom, Yuri shook her head, sensing Jessica's mood go down, "Don't worry, I'm fine." "Are you really, though?" Yuri nodded solemnly, "Yea."

After finished their plate of Yuri's special food, the girls sat on the couch together. "Yuri?" Jessica called out. "Hmm?" Yuri replied. Jessica bit her lip, wanting to ask the question. "What is it, Jessica?" "Why'd you become a player? Did you have a specific reason?" Jessica blurted the question.

Yuri sighed as she sat up straighter. Jessica could feel that it was going to be an emotional story, so she sat closer to Yuri and eyed the younger girl, who began to tear up. "I have a reason." Yuri stated. Jessica stayed quiet for Yuri to talk.

"Victoria." She said quietly. "She was my first love," she began, Jessica couldn't help but feel alittle jealous, jealous? Bad Jessica. "I loved her, I really did. We had been dating for 3 years. But she died when we were Juniors." So, they dated when they were freshmen. Jessica stayed quiet, seeing the tears flow down Yuri's face. "She died. Because of a stupid, drunk driver." Yuri's tone got cold. "And they didn't even arrest the damn guy, he lived on, when my Victoria didn't!" Yuri yelled.

Jessica placed her hand on Yuri's arm, "Calm down, Yuri-ah" Jessica called softly. For some reason, Yuri found herself listening to Jessica, calming down. Maybe it was because of the fact that Jessica's hand was placed on Yuri's arm, or the fact that her high pitched voice was calming to her, but she listened to Jessica.

"I promised myself I wouldn't love anyone but Victoria." Yuri stated as she calmed down. Jessica furrowed her eyebrows, "So breaking other people's heart is better?" she asked, moving her hand away from Yuri. Yuri stayed silent, as Jessica did have a point. "If I was Victoria, which I am most certainly not, I wouldn't like to see you being like this. I would want to see you happy, with someone you love." Jessica stated softly.

"But I only love Victoria." Jessica sighed, "That's the problem. You keep telling yourself that, so you would never open up to someone else." Jessica had no idea why she was giving this girl advice. Maybe it was just part of Jessica's personality to be nice and caring.

Yuri eyed Jessica before hugging the smaller girl around the waist. Jessica's breath hitched, but she wrapped her arms around Yuri's neck, returning the hug as she felt Yuri crying on her shoulder. "I miss her. So damn much." Yuri cried, letting her weak side out.

Jessica rubbed Yuri's back, soothing her. Jessica was shocked seeing the weak side of Yuri a second time. The first time, it was about her parents, now it's about Victoria. Yuri sniffed and moved back alittle, "Sorry." She mumbled. Jessica furrowed her eyebrows, "For what?" Yuri pointed to Jessica's shoulder, which was now wet with tears. Jessica smiled and shrugged it off, "It's fine." Yuri looked into Jessica's eyes, and Jessica looked back.

"Thank you." Yuri whispered. Jessica smiled softly and used her thumb to wipe away the remaining tears on Yuri's face. "I'll be your crying shoulder, and you'll be mine, remember?" Jessica stated, making Yuri smile. "There's the smile I was looking for." Jessica smiled back.

What made the two girls so close to eachother? What made the two girls totally forget about the bet when they were each other? What made their heart beats so fast when they were close to each other?
