Hye Ri: “Sunbae did you find Min Ho?”

Hyun Joong: “No…” Walks Away.

Hye Ri: “Hyun Joong.”

Min Ho: “Hye Ri?”

Hye Ri: Runs to Min Ho and hugs him. “I was so worried about you. Are you okay?”

Min Ho: “What are you doing here?”

Hye Ri: “Hyun Joong and I followed you. We were worried, but you’re alright now?”

Min Ho: “We need to talk.”

Hyun Joong continues to roam the hospital halls.

Hye Sun: “Hyun Joong.”

Hyun Joong looks the other way and passes her. Hye Sun chases after Hyun Joong and grabs his arm.

Hye Sun: “Oppa, why are you here?”

Hyun Joong: “Oppa?”

Hye Sun: “Yeah.”

Hyun Joong: “We’re not children anymore so stop calling me that.”

Hye Sun: “What’s with that look? Why are you at the hospital?”

Hyun Joong: “I’m here for Min Ho…that’s all.”

Hye Sun: “How did you find out?”

Hyun Joong: “I don’t have time for this I….”

Eun Hye: “Hyun Joong. Hye Sun.” Smiles and waves.

Hye Sun: “Eun Hye you’re here too.”

Eun Hye: “My parents told me what happened. I’m on my way to see Mr. Kim. Do you know what room he’s in?”

Hye Sun: “He’s sleeping right now.”

Eun Hye: “I guess it’s late, but I still want to make sure Min Ho is alright. Where is he?”

Hye Sun: With a flustered look. “I don’t know.”

Eun Hye grabs Hyun Joong and Hye Suns hands but Hye Sun pulls away.

Hye Sun: “You go I need to use the restroom.”

Eun Hye: “Okay. Will you come with me Oppa?”

Hyun Joong nods and lets Eun Hye walk with him hand and hand not once looking back at Hye Sun.

Meanwhile..

Hye Ri: “What do you want talk about. What does this all mean?”

Min Ho: “My father is sick. I’m going to withdraw from my classes this semester.”

Hye Ri: “Why, he’ll get better won’t he?”

Min Ho: “It’s terminal.”

Hye Ri: “Min Ho.” With tears streaming down her face. “I’m here now.”

As tightly Hye Ri embraces Min Ho, he can’t stop feeling confused about his kiss with Hye Sun.

Hye Ri: “Is there where you’ve been spending you’re nights at?”

Flashes of being in bed with Hye Sun run through Min Ho’s mind.

Min Ho: “Yes.”

Hye Ri: “You could have told me.”

Min Ho: “I’m sorry.”

Eun Hye: “Min Ho.”

Min Ho: Eun Hye.”

Eun Hye: “I heard what happened. I’m sorry.” Approaches Min Ho and hugs him.

Min Ho: “Thank you.”

Min Ho looks down as he sees Hyun Joong.

Min Ho: “I’m sorry I couldn’t tell you.”

Hyun Joong pats Min Ho’s back and gives him a strong hug.

Hyun Joong: “No matter what he’s your father. Whatever you need just tell me and I’ll do it.”

From near distance, Hye Sun watches them.

Eun Hye: “Where’s Hye Sun?”

Hye Ri: “Hye Sun?”

Min Ho: “Uhh that….uhh..” Scratching his head.

Hyun Joong: “I called her she should be here soon.”

Eun Hye: “But we just…”

Hyun Joong: “We should leave these two alone. Come on I’ll buy you a cup of coffee.” Grabs Eun Hye’s arm.

Eun Hye’s Thoughts:
Why is Hyun Joong lying? Why didn’t Min Ho just say she was with him?

Eun Hye doesn’t say a word, as she feels happy just by being touched by Hyun Joong.

Hyun Joong: “I saw a coffee shop down the street.”

Eun Hye: “Why did you lie?”

Hyun Joong: “Hye Ri would be hurt if I didn’t.”

Eun Hye: “Why do you care?”

Hyun Joong: “She’s my friend.”

Eun Hye: “And Hye Sun’s your girlfriend and yet she didn’t tell you. All this time she comforted another man, held him close and…”

Hyun Joong: “Are you finished?”

Eun Hye: “Why is this not bothering you?  

Hyun Joong: “That man you’re talking about is my brother I trust him. I trust her.”

Eun Hye: “Sometimes I just can’t understand you Hyun Joong. You’re such a mystery, which makes me want to get even closer to you…Do you think we could ever have a special bond like Hye Sun and Min Ho?” Softly touches Hyun Joong’s hand.

Hyun Joong: Clears his throat. “They’re about to close we should hurry up.”

Next Morning….

HOSPITAL

Hye Sun walks towards Mr. Kim room to find Hye Ri and Min Ho sleeping peacefully. Before she can quietly leave the room Hyun Joong grabs a hold of the door.

Hyun Joong: “Leaving so soon?”

Hye Sun: “Hyun Joong.”

Hyun Joong: “You came all the way so why don’t you stay?”

Min Ho and Hye Ri wake up at the sound of their voices.

Hye Ri: “Hye Sun, when did you get here?”

Hye Sun: “Just now.”

Hye Ri: “We waited for you all night you never came.”

Hye Sun: “I’m sorry something came up. I couldn’t make it. Please forgive me.”

Min Ho: “It’s alright.”

Hyun Joong stands there tightening his fists even more as he sees Min Ho and Hye Sun looking at each other.

Mr. Kim: “Oh Hye Sun.”

Min Ho: “You’re awake.”

Mr. Kim: “Mmm. Hye Sun you came again.”

Hye Ri: “Again?”

Min Ho: “Uhh they’ve met before. Right? But it was a long time ago.” Glances at Mr. Kim.

Mr. Kim: Nods.“Yeah.”

Hye Ri: “Oh that’s how it is.”

Hyun Joong: “You two must be hungry I’ll go get breakfast.”

Hye Sun: “I’ll come with you.”

Hyun Joong: “No need.”

Hye Sun: “Come on let’s go together.”

Eun Hye: “Morning!”

Hyun Joong: “I’m leaving.”

Eun Hye: “Where?”

Hyun Joong: “I’m getting breakfast.”

Eun Hye: “I’ll come with you.”

Hyun Joong: “Whatever.”

Hyun Joong and Eun Hye leave the room.

Hye Ri: “Ehh why don’t you come sit with us Hye Sun.”

Hye Ri makes room for Hye Sun in between her and Min Ho. Min Ho becomes flustered sitting next to Hye Sun.

Min Ho: “I think I’m going to go stretch my legs.”

Mr Kim: You must be my son’s girlfriend.”

Hye Ri: “Yes.” Smiles.

Mr. Kim: “Come sit next to me. We can have a good talk.”

Hye Ri: “Okay.”

Hye Sun: “I’ll be right back.”

Hye Sun leaves the room looking for Min Ho.

Hye Sun: “Lee Min Ho!”

Min Ho: “Hmmm”

Hye Sun: Looking down at her feet. “What did last night mean?”

Min Ho: “Last night…it was a mistake.”

Hye Sun: “What?”

Min Ho: “I was upset and confused. I didn’t mean to do it please forgive me. You belong to Hyun Joong and I shouldn’t have leaned on you….and I have Hye Ri. So can’t we just forget it ever happened?”

Hye Sun: “I was upset and confused?! Are you a girl to say these kinds of things?”

Min Ho: “ Huh?”

Hye Sun: “Lee Min Ho, why do you act all arrogant in front of me? Do you think I came looking for you right now just so I can hear you confess to me?”

Min Ho: “Girl? Arrogant?”

Hye Sun: “Last night we may have kissed but it doesn’t change anything.”

Min Ho: With an annoyed look “ I’m glad you understand.”

Hye Sun: “It’s going to take more than a kiss…”

Min Ho: “To what?”

Hye Sun: Smirk. “If the day ever comes you want to me to be with you it’ll take more than a kiss.” Walks away.

Min Ho’s Thoughts:
It was a mistake…it was only a mistake. **remembers the kiss and touches his lips** I just need Hye Ri right now.

Hye Sun’s Thoughts:
Mistake? Forget it? Babo! Don’t you realize it wasn’t just a kiss to me? What will it take to make you realize how much I love you….Babo don’t you feel it? You run to me with your sadness, you run to me with your heart, isn’t that love you’re feeling?

As the days passed Hyun Joong’s coldness towards Hye Sun continued.

SCHOOL

Hye Sun: “Hyun Joong!”

Hyun Joong walks pass Hye Sun. Before she can run after him, Eun Hye is already by his side.

Hye Ri: “I’m glad I found you. Let’s go to the hospital together. I’m sure that’ll cheer up Min Ho.”

Hye Sun: “Maybe later.”

Hye Ri: “Okay, thanks.” Smiles.

Hye Sun: “Mmm…Hye Ri, have you talked to Hyun Joong?”

Hye Ri: Shakes her head. “He’s left me a few messages but since I’ve been busy at the hospital I haven’t replied yet. I probably should.”

Hye Sun: “Oh, okay.”

HYUN JOONG’S HOUSE

Knock knock

To Hye Sun’s surprise Eun Hye answers the door.

Hye Sun: “Eun Hye.”

Eun Hye: “Hye Sun I haven’t seen you around here lately.”

Hye Sun: “I….”

Hyun Joong: “Who is it?”

Eun Hye: “It’s Hye Sun.”

Hyun Joong: “Oh…Min Ho isn’t here.”

Hye Sun: “Actually I’m looking for you.”

Hyun Joong: “Fine. What is it?”

Hye Sun: Looks at Eun Hye. “Can we talk in private?”

Eun Hye: “I’ll just go check on the food.”

Hye Sun: “So Eun Hye even cooks for you?”

Eun Hye: Nods. In a cold expression. “Is there something wrong with that?”

Hye Sun: “Hyun Joong. Why are you being like this? You ignore me at school. You call Hye Ri but not me and all you do is spend time with Eun Hye. She even cooks for you?!”

Hyun Joong: “Why do you care who I spend my time with?”

Hye Sun: “I don’t but we both agreed to not cheat have you forgotten that?”

Hyun Joong: “No…I haven’t…have you?”

Hye Sun: “What’s that suppose to mean?”

Hyun Joong: “My friendship with Eun Hye isn’t private, I have nothing to hide. If something did ever happened I would tell you. Can you say the same thing?”

Hye Sun: “Of course!” Has a flashback of the kiss with Min Ho

Hyun Joong: “Are you sure?”

Hye Sun: “Yes.”

Hyun Joong. “Keeping something a secret and not telling me is the same as cheating. It’s all lies to me. As your friend, as your boyfriend it’s hurtful.” Walks away in silence.
