Eun Hye: “Min Ho said if I took this street it would take me back to the entrance. I should have asked him to come with me.”

Eun Hye doesn’t pay attention while walking and bumps into Hyun Joong.

Hyun Joong: “Ahh. Are you okay Miss?”

Eun Hye: “I’m fine.”

Hyun Joong: “Let me help you up.”

Eun Hye grabs Hyun Joong’s hand.

Eun Hye: “Thank you.”

While still holding Hyun Joong’s hand Eun Hye feels her heart racing with excitement.

Eun Hye’s Thoughts:
He’s so breathtaking…

Hyun Joong: “Are you sure you’re alright Miss?”

Eun Hye: “Uhuh.”

Hyun Joong: Smiles. “Okay. Please be more careful in the future.”

Hyun Joong runs off as Eun Hye remains in awe.

Hyun Joong: “Sorry I’m late. What’s wrong with you?”

Hye Ri: “That girl came again.”

Hyun Joong: “Who?”

Hye Sun: “Min Ho’s fiancé.”

Hyun Joong: “You’re kidding right? That guy doesn’t have a fiancé.”

Hye Ri: “He left with her.”

Hyun Joong: “What?”

Min Ho: “Hye Ri we need to talk.”

Hyun Joong: “What’s with this fiancé thing?”

Min Ho: “Please Hye Ri.”

Hye Ri: “Hyun Joong, Hye Sun could you please give us some time alone.”

Hyun Joong: Sigh. “Lets go Hye Sun.”

Min Ho: “Hye Ri about Yoon Eun Hye she’s just an old friend.”

Hye Ri: “Why does she think she’s your fiancé?”

Min Ho: “My father planned arranged a marriage behind my back.”

Hye Ri: “Mr. Kim?”

Min Ho: “No. My biological father.”

Hye Ri: “I thought he left.”

Min Ho: “He did. He apparently planned this whole marriage to make up for the past. Like this is anyway to make up for everything.”

Hye Ri: “But how would an arranged marriage help you?”

Min Ho: “I don’t know and I don’t care, but I want to make it clear that I won’t be a puppet and let him decide my life. I won’t marry Yoon Eun Hye.”

Hye Ri: “For a moment I thought you were really going to marry that girl.”

Min Ho: “Her name is Yoon Eun Hye we used play together when we were children but after my mom and I moved away from Busan I never saw her again.”

Hye Ri: “She’s quite affectionate.”

Min Ho: Smiling. “Were you jealous?”

Hye Ri: “No!”

Min Ho: “Come on say it.”

Hye Ri: “Fine, I was. Happy?”

Min Ho: “Eun Hye is just a friend. Do you know what I had to do to be with you?”

Hye Ri: “What?”

Min Ho: Smirk. “I’ll tell you another time.”

LEE-JI TECH INC.
Min Ho: “I’m breaking off the engagement. I’m not marrying Yoon Eun Hye. Whatever you’re giving to me I don’t want it.”

Mr. Lee: “Min Ho. If you don’t accept this engagement you’ll have no company to inherit.”

Min Ho: “I don’t care.”

Mr. Lee: “You don’t understand my company is on the verge of bankruptcy. I have no one else to turn to.”

Min Ho: “What does this have to do with me?”
Mr. Lee: “If you marry Yoon Eun Hye the heiress to the Yoon hotel empire my company will be backed up by the Yoon’s.”

Min Ho: Smirk. “So this has nothing to do with me? You’re not trying to help me or feel guilty for what you did you’re just looking out for yourself.”

Mr. Lee: “Don’t put it that way. Once my company is up again you’ll be the sole heir. Since Mr. Yoon has no other children you’ll inherit their entire hotel empire. Besides you already know Eun Hye it’s not like you’re marrying a stranger.”

Min Ho: Shaking his head. “There’s more important things than money, but I wouldn’t expect you to understand it. If not marrying Eun Hye means you’ll lose everything than so be it. I won’t be part of your deception. I won’t hurt Eun Hye. I won’t make her weep for me or make her believe in a false love. I won’t do it!”

Mr. Lee: On his knees “Please I’m begging you son.”

The door opens.

Mr. Yoon: “Mr. Lee…Lee Min Ho?”

Min Ho: “Hi Mr. Yoon, auntie, it’s been a long time. I have something to tell you.”

Mr. Yoon: “Why is your father on his knees?”

Min Ho: “I’m sorry but I can’t marry Yoon Eun Hye.”

Eun Hye’s Mom: “In what way does our Eun Hye lack?”

Min Ho: “In none, but I already have someone I love. This marriage was arranged without my knowledge. I’m sorry for the misunderstanding.”

Mr. Yoon: “Please reconsider. We consider you an ideal partner for our Eun Hye.”

Min Ho: “I’m sorry.” Bows. “In the future please let Eun Hye decide her partner in life. She is a friend and I want her to be happy with someone she likes. I’m sorry if it’s not my place to tell you this.”

Next day…

SCHOOL

Eun Hye: “Oppa wait for me!”

Min Ho: “Eun Hye. What are you doing here?”

Eun Hye: “I’ve transferred here.”

Min Ho: “Why?”

Eun Hye: “I have my reasons.” Winks.

Hye Sun and Hye Ri are walking by.

Hye Ri: “Yoon Eun Hye?”

Eun Hye: “Hi. I’m sorry I never properly introduced myself. I’m Yoon Eun Hye..I’m a friend of Min Ho Oppa.”

Hye Sun: “Nice meeting you.” Half-smile.

Hye Ri: “Nice to meet you.”

Eun Hye: “Sorry about the other day. It was all a misunderstanding.”

Hye Ri: Looking down. “It’s alright.”

Min Ho: “Yoon Eun Hye just transferred here. Let’s make her feel welcome.”

Hye Sun: “Sure.”

Hyun Joong: “I finally found you.” Wraps his arms around Hye Sun. “Who’s she?”

Min Ho: “This is…”

Eun Hye: “I’m Yoon Eun Hye.” Smiling “We’ve met before.”

Hyun Joong: “Have we?”

Eun Hye: “Mmm. I hope we can get to know each other better.”

Hye Sun: “I don’t want to be late for class. I’ll see everyone later.”

Hyun Joong: “I’ll walk you to your class.” Grabs Hye Suns bag and walks with her.

Hye Ri: “I should go too.”

Min Ho: “I’ll go with you.”

Eun Hye: “Oppa can you help me find my class?”

Hye Ri: “It looks like you have your hands full. See you later.”

Min Ho: “Okay….So where’s your class?”

Eun Hye: “Umm its on my schedule…here…..Min Ho.”

Min Ho: “Huh?”

Eun Hye: “Are your friends dating?”

Min Ho: “Friends? Oh Kim Hyun Joong and Ji Hye Sun?”

Eun Hye: “So that’s his name.”

Min Ho: “Actually Hyun Joong is my brother and Hye Sun is like my little sister. They’ve been dating for a few months now.”

Eun Hye: “I didn’t know you had a brother.”

Min Ho: “His my step-brother but we’ve known each other since we were 7 so I think of him as my real brother.”

Eun Hye: “Since I don’t know anyone yet. You think it would be okay if we all go out to eat after classes and get to know each other better?”

Min Ho: “Yeah. I think everyone would like that.”

RESTAURANT
Hye Sun: “Where do you two know each other from?”

Min Ho: “Eun Hye and I used to play together when I lived in Busan, but we lost touch.”

Eun Hye: “Luckily through a twist of fate we found each other again.” Smiles.

Hye Sun: “So that’s how it is.”

Min Ho tries to lighten to mood and pinches Eun Hye’s cheeks.

Min Ho: “Isn’t my little sister cute?” Smiles.

Eun Hye: “I’m sorry about intruding in your lives. I know I must have sounded crazy saying I was Lee Min Ho’s fiancé, but that misunderstanding has been cleared up now. I hope we all can be good friends.”

Hye Sun’s Thoughts:
Wasn’t I your little sister Min Ho? Why didn’t you ever tell me about the misunderstanding between you and Eun Hye? Why is it ever since Hye Ri came into your life you no longer talk to me? I wish it were like before when we had no secrets between each other.

Hye Ri: “We’ll help you adjust so please don’t worry.”

Eun Hye: “Thank you, I’m glad everyone came out today.” Looks at Hyun Joong. “Hyun Joong did you have a good time?”

Hyun Joong: “Eh?”

Hye Sun: “Hurry up and say yes.”

Hyun Joong: “Oh..yeah it was nice.”

Eun Hye: “Hyun Joong doesn’t say much does he?”

Min Ho: “Don’t mind him he’s always like that around new people.”

Eun Hye: “I see…Min Ho says you’re in the art department. I do sculptures maybe you can come by and see my work?”

Hyun Joong: “Mmm.”

Through out the next few weeks Eun Hye was frequently over Min Ho and Hyun Joong’s house. Hye Ri thought Eun Hye was still determined to wed Min Ho, but in reality it was different story.

Knock knock knock

Min Ho: “Hye Sun come in.”

Laughter can be heard thorough out the house.

Hye Sun: “Is Hye Ri here?”

Min Ho: “No it’s Eun Hye.”

Hye Sun: “She’s been coming over a lot hasn’t she?”

Min Ho: “Well Eun Hye likes Hyun Joong’s studio a lot. I think she’s officially taken over his work space.” Laughs. “She doesn’t have many friends so I guess she finds it easy talking to someone with similar interests.”

Hye Sun: “Oh I see.”

Min Ho: “Are you jealous?”

Hye Sun: “No…”

Hye Sun’s Thoughts:
At least it doesn’t seem she’s interested in Min Ho.”

Min Ho: “I guess it was about time one of you got jealous. I just didn’t think it would be you princess.”

Hye Sun: “I said I’m not. In fact I’m going to go have a nice talk with Eun Hye and Hyun Joong. We’re all friends aren’t we?”

Hye Sun walks into Hyun Joong and to her surprise she sees Hyun Joong smiling and laughing. Besides Hye Ri, Min Ho and herself, Hye Sun had never seen Hyun Joong so comfortable with anyone.

Hyun Joong: “Hye Sun.”

Hye Sun: “Hi. Are you busy? I can come later.”

Eun Hye: “It’s fine. I was just telling Hye Sun some corny art jokes.”

Hyun Joong: “But they’re still funny. I’m thirsty do you girls want anything?”

Hye Sun: “I’m fine.”

Eun Hye: “I could go for a drink. I’ll go get them don’t worry.”

Hyun Joong: “Okay.”

Hye Sun: “You two are good friends now?”
Hyun Joong: “She’s a nice girl. A lot more fun than I expected her to be.”

Hye Sun: “Mmm…well I don’t want to bother you so I’ll go.”

Hyun  Joong: “Wait. You came all the way down here. What is it?”

Hye Sun: “I just wanted to drop by and see if you wanted to accompany me to a banquet. My department and the architecture department are hosting it.”

Hyun Joong: “Sure. Just tell me when and we’ll go.”

Eun Hye: “Hye Sun, I got you a drink just in case.”

Hye Sun: “It’s okay I’m leaving.”

Eun Hye: “We’ll see you later.”

Eun Hye’s Thoughts:
Do they even like each other? Hye Sun is so calm seeing another girl by Hyun Joong’s side. If Hyun Joong was mine I would never let him go. I fell in love with him at first sight. I’m almost 100% sure something isn’t right between those two. If they don’t like each other I may have a chance…Hyun Joong I’m going to make you fall for me.
