Taeng was up bright and early; he was overly excited to get to school. A smile was stuck on his face as he makes his way downstairs for breakfast. To his surprise he sees his mother cooking at the stove.

He kisses her cheek, “Good morning umma”

 “Someone is in a good mood” She teases noticing the happy aura coming from her son.

 Taeng grins, “It’s going to be a good day umma”

 “I wonder why” She replies chuckling, placing Taeng’s plate on the table.

 He sticks his tongue out before sitting at the table to devour his meal. His mind was stuck on Tiffany; he couldn’t stop thinking about her. His stomach grows light thinking of the joyous moment when he heard her say she remembered him. He smiles, not noticing his mother laughing at him.

 “Taeng, you missed your face” She says through her laughs.

Taeng snaps outs of his daze, feeling something sticky on his cheek.

“Aigoo” He says chuckling, picking the rice off his face.

Mrs. Kim kisses his cheek while picking his plate up, “Have a good day at school”

“Thanks umma, I’ll see you later” He replies smiling.

 Taeng makes his way to the door, slipping on his shoes before heading out.

He gazes up at the clear blue sky, “Today is going to be great” Taeng says smiling.

 He looks ahead of the sidewalk, thinking of Tiffany along the way, he sees a female figure looking around frantically.

Taeng crosses his eyebrows, “She seems familiar” He approaches the young girl, “Are you okay?”

She screams, caught off guard by Taeng, she quickly turns around.

 “Hey…I’ve seen you somewhere” Taeng says, with a questioning tone.

“Oh! You’re the one who stopped by my family’s restaurant with your friends” She replies taking a few breaths.

 Taeng’s eyes widen, “Oh that’s right! I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you”

She smiles, immobilized by Taeng’s appearance “It’s okay. Uhm, are you heading to school?”

Taeng nods before noticing the latter was wearing the same uniform as him. “Oh, you go to Sone High too?” He asks, pointing at her jacket.

 She nods, “Yes. But I’m a year younger then you oppa”

Taeng rubs the back of his head, “Aish I feel old when you call me that”

 She chuckles, “I’m Lee Jieun, nice to meet you oppa”

Taeng smiles, “Kim Taeng. Nice to meet you Jieun”

Jieun bites her bottom lip, infatuated with the boy’s charms and looks.

“Do you mind if we walk to school together oppa?” She asks nervously.

Taeng nods, “Sure. Let’s get going, we can’t be late”

 The latter grins, butterflies forming in her stomach. Ever since Taeng came into their restaurant she couldn’t stop thinking about him, thinking of the day they’ll meet again. She was fortunate enough to attend the same school as him; nothing but smiles was on her face. Taeng looks at her, smiling at how cute she looks.

“So, do you like it here in Korea?” She asks, striking up a conversation.

 “I love it here. It’s a beautiful country” He replies with fascination “The food is delicious and the people are nice”

She chuckles, “I’m glad you like it here”

 “Me too, I need to stop by your umma’s place soon” He says chuckling.

Jieun’s eyes light up, “Please do! I told her that you enjoyed her food so she’s expecting a visit from you”

“Okay, I’ll stop by soon” He says, looking at her smiling.

Jieun smiles, staring into his eyes.

 “Taeng!” Yul says, jogging up to his friend.

 Jieun frowns, she wanted Taeng all to herself while they walk to school. They were just arriving to the gates when Yul catches up them.

“Hey man” Yul says to him smiling.

 “Hey Yul” Taeng replies.

Jieun figdets, bouncing on her heels; feeling left out she wasn’t sure if she was supposed to walk away or bid Taeng goodbye.

 “Hey don’t you work at that restaurant at the mall?” Yul asks, pointing at the young latter.

She nods, “I’m Lee Jieun, nice to meet you oppa”

Yul was taken aback, “Oppa? You’re a year younger?”

She nods again, Yoona chuckles “Nice to meet you. I’m Kwon Yul”

She smiles, “I’m going in first, I’ll see you later”

 Taeng smiles, “Okay. Annyeong”

 She bites her bottom lip, eyeing Taeng from head to toe before heading inside school.

Yul smirks at Taeng, “She likes you”

 Taeng was taken aback, “What? No she doesn’t"

Yul scoffs, “You must be blind”

Taeng punches the latter’s arm, Yul laughs.

They chat about usual things as they make their way inside the school.

 The two teens stop in front of Yul’s homeroom, “I’ll see you later Taeng”

 Taeng nods, heading off to his homeroom. He opens his homeroom door, noticing only Jessica sitting by herself in her seat. He smiles, heading over to his chair; he sets his stuff down before gazing at the latter.

“Annyeong Jessica” He says smiling.

She looks over to him and smiles, “Annyeong”

 “You’re here early” He teases, poking her arm.

 The latter makes a face, “I’m always here early”

Taeng chuckles, “Loner”

Jessica swats his arm, “Yah! I’m not a loner!”

 “Loner, loner, Jessica is a loner” He sings, dorkily smiling.

Jessica was taken aback hearing Taeng’s voice, she never expected him to be the singing type. His pitch was spot on and his harmonics were beautiful.  

“Wow…you have a good voice” She says with fascination.

Taeng rubs the back of his head, smiling cheekily “Thanks. A lot of people say that, but I’m not the type of person to sing in front of a crowd”

Jessica pokes his arm, “You should. People would kill to have your voice”

 “That’s too much” He replies chuckling.

 Jessica chuckles along with him, admiring Taeng even more. She couldn’t help but smile whenever she looks at him; butterflies grow in her stomach whenever he says her name. 

“Mind if we exchange phone numbers?” Taeng asks placidly.

Jessica grows red, “Why?”

“Why not?” Taeng retaliates, chuckling.

Jessica laughs, taking out her phone to exchange contact information with Taeng. The door slides open, Yoona enters the class along with Tiffany. Tiffany glances at both Taeng and Jessica having a lively conversation. Both laugh at the same time, oblivious to Yoona and Tiffany’s presence.

“Morning guys!” Yoona says, interrupting the moment.

 “Hey Yoona” Taeng says smiling, Tiffany walks over to them “Morning Fany-ah”

Tiffany smiles, “Morning Tae”

Jessica’s eyebrow raises, confused and jealous the two latter’s greeted each other with nicknames.

“Ah, someone rekindled with their best friend” Yoona teases, poking Tiffany’s arm.

 She glares at him, “Aigoo.”

“So you weren’t sick! You liar!” Yoona says, pointing at Taeng.

 He looks at him apologetically, “Sorry. Umma told me to say that”

“She’s a bad influence” Yoona teases, earning laughter from the latter.

 “I’m completely lost” Jessica cuts in, feeling completely lost.

Yoona fans his hand, “It’s nothing”

Jessica frowns, unsatisfied with the latter’s response.

“I’ll tell you later” Tiffany says to Jessica, sensing the annoyance from her friend.

 Seohyun, Hyoyeon, Sunny and Sooyoung enter the room, excitedly chatting about their weekend plans.

“Oh!” Seohyun says, noticing the others looking at them, she was absorbed in their conversation.

“What are you chatting about?” Yoona asks curiously.

 “We should go to Lotte World tomorrow!” Sooyoung says happily.

The group, except Taeng, eyes lightens up with delight.

“We should!” Yoona says, growing excited.

“What’s Lotte World?” Taeng asks, confused.

Tiffany looks at him with a gleam in her eyes, “It’s an amusement park, it’s Korea’s number one tourist attraction”

 Taeng’s eyes brighten up like a little kid, “Amusement park?!”

Sunny laughs, “You have to come with us Taeng!”

Taeng vigorously shakes his head, “Okay! I can’t wait”

Jessica smiles, “It’s been so long since we’ve been there”

 “I’ll tell Yul” Hyoyeon says, taking out her phone.

 “Ah!” Sooyoung says, taking out her phone “Taeng we need to exchange contact information, so we can inform you about the plan tomorrow”

“Babo, you just did that to get his number” Sunny says, knuckling the shikshins head.

“Okay, if you don’t mind may I have all your numbers?”Taeng asks, dorkily smiling.

The group nods, taking out their phones to exchange numbers. Yoona and Jessica don’t since they already have his contact information.

“Omo, Jessica you already had his number?” Seohyun asks as she saves Taeng’s number.

 Jessica nods, “Yeah”

Tiffany chews on her cheeks, a weird feeling growing in her stomach.

 “Where will we meet?” Taeng asks, his eyes glancing over at Tiffany.

“Let’s meet at my house!” Yoona says “We can take the subway”

The group nods, confirming the plans for tomorrow.

 Taeng was growing excited; he hasn’t been to an amusement park in a long time. He was even more excited knowing he’ll be spending it with his friends, and Tiffany, his best friend.  

“It’s a plan!” Hyoyeon says cheerfully.

 School passes by slowly but surely, lectures and assignments fulfilling the day. As the school day passes by, Tiffany couldn’t help but feel awkward watching Taeng and Jessica interact with each other. She couldn’t tell if they were flirting or just acting friendly, the way Jessica laughs when Taeng cracks a joke or the way he knuckles her head when she teases him. The weird feeling grows back into her stomach, she tries to ignore it but it was difficult for her to. Tiffany decides to keep her head down the rest of the school day, after all the two do sit in front of her.

 The bell rings and the gang meet up at the gate in front of the school, discussing what they should do.

Yul approaches them, “Hey guys”

 “Taeng oppa!”

 Taeng turns around hearing his name, he sees Jieun jogging up to him.

“Oh annyeong Jieun” He says smiling at her.

 The gang looks at her with watchful eyes, noticing the younger latter’s actions towards Taeng.

 “What are you doing?” She asks curiously, batting her eyes.

“We were thinking of getting ice cream, want to join?” Taeng asks, shoving his hands in his pockets.

“We?” The latter asks, Taeng jerks his head to the group.

 “Annyeong” They greet with a smile.

“You work at the restaurant at the mall right?” Sooyoung asks, smiling.

 Jieun nods, bowing to her elders.

 “Well, would you like to come with us?” Sunny asks cheerfully.

 Jieun ponders, looking at Taeng who was smiling at her “I would love too, but unfortunately I have to work. Thank you for offering though unnie”

“Awh, next time then” Seohyun says smiling.

Jieun nods, “Yes. I must be going. Annyeong”

 She waves to the group before walking down the street. In truth, she actually had the day off but she wasn’t comfortable hanging with anyone but Taeng.

“I want it just to be you and me oppa” She says quietly before disappearing from their sight.

 Jessica was growing impatient, “Are we going to get ice cream or what?”

 Taeng laughs, “You really are an ice princess”

 The group laughs, Jessica swats his arm. Jealously grows over Yul again, not liking the interactions between the two.

Yoona wraps his arm around Yul’s neck, “Don’t worry Yul. He likes Tiffany” He whispers, reassuring his friend.

 Yul sighs, “I just get jealous if any guy but me talks to her”

Yoona knuckles his head, “Relax. She doesn’t like him either remember?”

 Yul smiles, feeling assured as he walks with the group. They enter the ice cream shop, taking a seat at the booth they sat at before.

“I believe the gentlemen should retrieve our ice cream” Sooyoung says, her tone in a high class manner.

Yoona rolls his eyes, “No way!”

 Yul looks at Jessica, “What do you want Sica?”

 Yoona’s jaw drops, “Dude seriously?”

Yul ignores his comment, looking at Jessica. Jessica makes a thinking face, “Vanilla with sprinkles”

 Yul smiles, “Coming right up!”

 He happily makes his way to the ice cream counter, ordering for both him and Jessica.

“Okay okay. I’ll take your ladies’ order” Yoona mutters, not happy with the outcome.

Taeng looks over to Tiffany, “Strawberry with the chunks removed and waffle cones?”

Tiffany smiles, along with her heart skipping a beat “Yes please. Thank you Tae”

 He smiles, making his way to the counter with Yoona.

 “Did something happen between you two?” Sooyoung asks, seeing Tiffany smile like an idiot.

Tiffany’s eyes widen, “Huh?”

“Are you two dating?!” Sunny yells her eyes widening as well.

“What makes you say that?!” Tiffany asks frantically.

“Well, just a second ago you called him Tae, he remembers your order, and you’re staring at him smiling like an idiot” Sunny says, a gleam in her eyes.

Tiffany grows red, “N-no! We’re not dating!”

“Really…” Seohyun says, not convinced.

“I swear! We aren’t!” Tiffany says, crossing her arms.

“Then…what are you?” Hyoyeon asks, confused of the situation.

 “Long story” Tiffany sighs, leaning back.

The guys return with the orders, sliding in the booth with their own order.

“Taeng, tell us this ‘long story’ Tiffany won’t talk to us about” Sunny asks, staring at Taeng.

Tiffany looks at Sunny with a surprised look, her spoon still between her lips.

“What do you mean?” Taeng asks, looking up from his ice cream.

 “Well…while you were ordering we asked Tiffany if you guys were-”

“I’ll tell the story!” Tiffany says wildly, cutting off Sunny.

 Everyone looks at the frantic Tiffany, Taeng looking at her with most curiosity.

 “Taeng and I” She explains while looking at Taeng “Are best friends”

 Yoona rolls his eyes, “Aigoo, this is going to be the third time I’ll be hearing this”

 Taeng chuckles, “Ah this is what you’re going to explain”

“Quiet!” Sooyoung says, silencing Yoona and Taeng.

 Tiffany explains the situation, making sure she didn’t miss out on any parts; she elaborately explained each detail of the story leaving the group in awe.

“Wah, so you guys knew each other a long time ago?” Seohyun asks her eyes filled with amazement.

Tiffany nods, taking a sip of water to clear .

“Omo! Taeng, you’re perfect” Sooyoung says in amazement.

Taeng smiles sheepishly, “Aish. No I’m not”

 “Don’t be so modest!” Sooyoung replies “I’ve never met a guy like you. You kept your promise to Tiffany? So romantic!”

 Taeng blushes, hanging his head to shield the redness.

 Tiffany smiles seeing him in a cute manner. Jessica bites her bottom lip, worry starting to grow over her. However, she keeps her feelings inside; not wanting to cause a disturbance.

They chat over idly things as they finish their ice cream. The sun was starting to set so the gang decides to part ways.

Yul walks Sica home; Yoona walks Seohyun, Sunny, Sooyoung, and Hyoyeon home. Taeng looks at Tiffany, “That just leaves us”

She laughs, “I guess it does”

 “I guess I’ll walk you home” Taeng says in dismay, teasing the latter.

Tiffany punches his arm, “Fine I’ll walk home by myself”

She starts walking, ignoring Taeng calling her.

 “Same old Fany-ah” He says, jogging up to her.

Tiffany hides her smile, “I thought you didn’t want to walk me home”

Taeng chuckles, sensing that Tiffany wasn’t being serious. Taeng goes in front of her, turning around making him walk backwards.

“I’m sorry Fany-ah, forgive me? I would love to walk you home” He says, looking at her with apologetic eyes.

Tiffany laughs, dissolving her hard expression, “Aigoo. Of course I forgive you.”

Taeng smiles, Tiffany raises her eyebrow “What if you fall?”

Taeng shrugs, “If I fall, I just get back up right?”

Tiffany nods, “That’s true”

 He turns back around normally, walking by her side along the sidewalk.

 “So, do you remember anything about me?” Taeng asks, gazing over at the latter.

Tiffany looks at him, “What do you mean?”

 “Like…my favorite color, food…stuff like that” He asks curiously.

Tiffany bites her bottom lip, guilt rising. She wished she could remember one thing about him but nothing seemed to come to her mind. She looks over at Taeng apologetically feeling guilty she knows nothing of her best friend.

 Taeng smiles, “It’s okay. We can start over on that”

Tiffany was taken aback; she was surprised that Taeng wasn’t upset at her even though she doesn’t remember anything about him.

“You’re not mad?” She asks guiltily.

 Taeng shakes his head, “No of course not. That’s not a good reason to get mad about”

 Tiffany’s heart beats faster, admiring Taeng’s patience with her. After all, it took her a while to remember him and now she’s completely clueless about his character.

“You really are a good friend” Tiffany says quietly.

 Taeng smiles at her affectionately, “I say the same about you”

 Tiffany smiles, “I promise to learn everything about you”

Taeng extends his pinky finger out, “Pinky promise?”

She crosses hers with his, “Promise”

He smiles he continues walking until he was jerked back by his wrist.

 “What do you remember about me?” Tiffany asks, stopping their tracks.

 Taeng looks back at her, “Everything”

 “Tell me” Tiffany asks her eyes glued with his

. Taeng takes her wrist, leading her to a bench and sits both of them down.

 “Your favorite color is pink, your Korean name is Hwang Miyoung, your pitch becomes high when you’re excited about something, you clap your hands whenever you laugh, your real name is Stephanie but you never liked that name so your mom changed it to Tiffany, you’re easily scared of ghosts, you despise bugs, whenever you have your headphones on you always have the volume up so high, you’re scared of fish eyes, your blood type is O like me, you use to have a mushroom haircut when we were younger so you were nicknamed mushroom Fany, you use to play the flute, you get jealous really easily, you’re competitive, you love High School Musical, you love nail polish, you would always scrunch your face together whenever you disapprove something, you bite the inside of your cheeks when you’re nervous or thinking of something…” Taeng stops to take a breath.

Tiffany eyes were wide, she was amazed at how much Taeng knew of her.

 She felt even guiltier, Taeng was about to list more but she raises his hand to stop him.

 “I think you’ve said enough” Tiffany says softly.

 Taeng looks at her worriedly, “Are you okay?”

Tiffany looks up and smiles at him, “You kept your promise to me, now it’s my turn to keep my promise to you”
