I'm Stupid For Loving You ♥

-Zhang LiYin-

After dinner, Jaejoong and I went back to my house to rest. Dinner wasn’t all that exciting. I told Jaejoong that I’ll take him around my city and I’ll definitely show him the ideal shopping places. By the time we came home, my grandma was already asleep. I slowly crept into my room and opened the lights, and then I just closed the door.

I opened my balcony door so I could stare out into the night sky. But because China wasn’t like Korea, I wasn’t able to see the stars in the sky. There was too much air pollution. After staying outside for a while, I went back inside and got ready to go to bed.

-----NEXT MORNING-----

Waking up the next morning, I found myself to be really thirsty. I got out of bed and slipped on my slippers, and then I walked downstairs into the kitchen to grab a glass of water. When I reached downstairs, I saw a note on the kitchen table.

“LiYin sweetheart, I’m out buying groceries so that we can have a lovely brunch together.” It read.

Just as I was about to turn around and head back upstairs, I saw Jaejoong standing in front of me with his eyes wide opened. I followed his gaze and it seemed like he was staring at my body. I glanced down and suddenly remembered what I was wearing. I was only in my silky cameo dress pajamas, something Jaejoong has never seen me in before. My face quickly turned red as Jaejoong continued staring.

“Are you done staring?” I asked him as he snapped back to reality.

“Uh… I-I’m so s-sorry.” He blushed a deep red as he ran back upstairs quickly.

I couldn’t help but let out a little chuckle as I saw his reaction. It was as if he’s never seen a girl dressed like this before. I should be feeling embarrassed, but I didn’t feel that way at all. In fact, I felt normal and comfortable being like this around Jaejoong.

As I went back to my room, I couldn’t help but notice that Jaejoong’s door was left ajar. I took a glance at him through the little crack.

“Calm down Kim Jaejoong.” I heard him whisper to himself. I could tell that his face was still super red.

“He’s a guy, does he really need to get that embarrassed. Even I’m not that embarrassed.” I whispered to myself as I went back into my room to get dressed.

By the time I finished, my grandma seemed to be back home and making brunch for us.

“Good morning Grandma.” I greeted her as I poured myself a glass of fresh orange juice from the fridge.

“Good morning dear. How was sleep last night?” She asked me as she cracked the eggs into the frying pan.

“Comfortable. I miss that feeling.” I smiled with a reply.

Just as my grandma was finished preparing the food, Jaejoong came walking down. I did notice that his face was still a bit red.

“Good morning Jaejoong. Did you sleep well?” My grandma asked him when he came down.

“Uh… yes grandma. I slept really well, thank you.” He replied as he stared at me.

“Good morning Jaejoong.” I smiled.

“Oh! Uh… good morning LiYin.” He smiled back.

“I’m guessing you two will be going out later on?” Grandma asked.

“I guess I will. I have to go reactive my SIM card for my phone. There are a couple friends I want to catch up with.” I replied.

“That sounds good.” She replied as I helped her carry the plates of food to the table.

“Well, dig in.” Grandma smiled.

I took my first bite and the senses all came back. I missed my grandma’s brunch. They were the best. In my opinion, they taste a lot better than those high class restaurants.

“Wow…” I heard Jaejoong gasp as he had his first bite.

“It’s good, isn’t it?” I smiled at his happy face.

All he did was nod his head in reply as he continued to stuff his face with food. I heard my grandma laugh at his appreciation.

“Jaejoong, slow down or else you’ll choke.” I laughed as I handed him a glass of water. He smiled a thanks before gulping down some water and continued eating.

“So, Jaejoong… how long have you met my granddaughter for?” Grandma asked all of a sudden.

“I met her when she first got to Korea. I think it’s already been an almost a year.” He replied.

“And what do you think of her for this past year?” She continues asking.

“Grandma…” I whispered to her, hinting her to stop.

“I think she’s a great girl. She’s a true friend. And it’s hard to find a true friend these days. Especially when you’re a busy businessman like myself.” He replied.

“So, you are saying you think our LiYin is a great girl? Yes?” She continued asking.

Jaejoong shyly nodded his head in agreement as he took a drink of water.

“Uh… I’m going to go upstairs and get ready to go out.” I excused myself so I don’t have to listen to my grandma asking Jaejoong questions.

-Jaejoong-

“Jaejoong, I want you to promise me one thing.” Grandma acknowledged me.

I nodded my head, insisting her to go on.

“In the future, when I’m gone, I want you to take care of LiYin. I’m the only relative she’s got left in this world. And even though I don’t know you too well, I trust you in protecting my LiYin and staying beside her when times get hard. I know you can give her a great future, so please, will you promise me?” She asks with pleading eyes.

“I… I promise grandma.” I smiled gently to her.

“Thank you Jaejoong.” She smiled as she gave me peck on the cheek before standing up and washing the dishes. I stood up to help her and once we were done, LiYin came down with everything ready to go.

“Grandma, we’ll be heading out now.” LiYin said before we got into her car.

“Okay, so our first destination is the phone store. You’ll need a SIM card that works over here.” LiYin explained as we stopped right in front of a bright shop. I could see inside were placed with tons of modern phones, some that even Korea didn’t have yet.

“Hey Mr. Chen!” I heard LiYin greet the man behind the counters. He seemed to be in his mid thirties.

“Ah! LiYin! You’ve come back from Korea? How was it?” He smiled warmly at her.

“It was… interesting.” She chuckled as she took out her phone.

“Actually, I’ve come here to ask you to reactive my SIM card so I can use it here. And my friend here would like to activate a SIM card.” She handed her phone over and then pointed at me.

I bowed respectfully and walked over to where LiYin was standing. Then I took out my phone and handed it over to him.

“This phone… It’s not out yet in the market. How did you get it?” Mr. Chen asked me.

“My company has connections with Sony, so I was able to receive a free one.” I explained.

Mr. Chen nodded as he went over to the computer, entered a couple stuff and then grabbed a SIM card from his drawer and scanned it.

“Alright, both of the phones should be working. Here you go LiYin. The number should still be the same as before. And as for your friend, his number is writing on that pamphlet. I hope he has a great time in China.” He smiled before we paid for everything and left the shop.

“Okay, try calling me.” LiYin said as she gave me her number.

A couple seconds later, a ringing sound could be heard from her phone. Then she added my name and number into her contact list. I added hers to mine.

Right as we were about to enter the car, someone shouted LiYin’s name. I turned around to see that it was a boy.

“Jay?” LiYin exclaimed.
