Christmas (memories)
It (does)n’t happen - intermediate -
Minho hummed a little tune, kicking his legs in the air as he was laid out on his stomach over the floor of the living room, bright crayons scattered all over the floor around him. He picked another and thought a moment before adding another Christmas tree to his colored paper with a drawing of him kicking a soccer ball through snow. Santa Claus was going to love his list this year.
Minho was barely seven and his list mostly consisted of cool toys from commercials on tv or classmates bragging about their own neat toys. Maybe the list had gotten a little long again this year, but with all the time he was putting into coloring it just right would make up for that fact, huh?
“Hyung,” Minho tossed the crayon to the floor and picked up a different green to color in his tree. “Aren't you going to send a list this year?”
“Nah,” Minseok said while he kept his eyes on the tv screen, playing video games alone as his little brother colored. “He already knows what I want.” More like he doesn't believe in 'Santa Claus' anymore. He knows where the gifts under the tree come from every Christmas Eve. He was nice enough (or at least in a good enough big brother mood) not to spoil it for his little brother at least. In time he would understand just as well as Minseok.
“How do you know though?” Minho looked back at his brother, big eyes very curious.
Minseok shrugged, “I just do.” He pressed loudly on more buttons over the controller.
Minho pouted and wondered how that was even possible. He went back to coloring big colorful lights on another Christmas tree, pout curling into a smile as he sang again. “Mama will send this for me too.” He giggled, head tilting side to side. He picked up a new color.
Santa will have to give him one item from his list this year, right? Right.
“Minho-yah..” Minseok whined childishly, reaching and pulling on the younger's leg. “Come play with me. I wanna play two-player.”
Minho looked between his letter and his brother. He decided it could be put off a little longer to play with his brother again. Minseok smiled and scooted over to make room for Minho. He would regret it later when he had to explain too many things on how to play the game correctly and not just press whatever buttons Minho would continuously smash. Minseok put on a simpler game instead.

Jinki sat in front of the small but fluffy Christmas tree in his living room, blinking at the sparkling lights and many presents under the tree already, his name on them all. Only him. He smiled, pleased to not have to share with anyone else. No brothers or sisters to deal with like some of his friends.
Just him. His toys.
Jinki giggled with a slight shrug, over-excited about opening gifts again. “Merry Christmas~,” he whispered to no one, hands held up around his smile. He really hoped his cousins wouldn't break any of his toys this year.
