Sulk (memories)
It (does)n’t happen - intermediate -
Minho was sulking, again, arms crossed and knees pulled to his chest as he sat in a crowded corner of his bedroom near the wardrobe. Jinki wanted to laugh, because whatever was wrong couldn’t be that big of a deal. The kid was only thirteen after all. Jinki had come over to hang out, not sulk around. Being friends with the younger, Jinki quickly learned that’s how he worked at times – sulked over the simplest and funniest things. Jinki vaguely wondered if it was a fight with his older brother. Minseok didn’t seem to be around right now.
Jinki sighed obnoxiously loud, sitting a little ways from Minho in the bedroom. He pulled a half-eaten candy bar from his bag, nibbling on it slowly. His eyes glanced to Minho, voice sighing far too loudly again. “I guess I’ll eat this by myself.” When there was no reaction, Jinki added, “And go to the arcade, by myself with the allowance I got.” He sighed once more, showing off his fake misery. “All those games all by myself...”
“Arcade?”
Jinki looked back, finding Minho to actually be paying attention now. “Yeah, why do you think I came over here? Not to sit here and eat by myself. I can do that at home.” Jinki shrugged.
Much like a lanky monkey, face still serious, Minho moved closer to Jinki quickly, snatching the candy bar and shoving it into his mouth. He smiled between it, happiness mostly in his big eyes. His mood had changed and now he was quickly running out of his bedroom, shouting with a full mouth, “Let’s go! Let’s go!” He declared in a squeak “I’m going to win!” before any match was made, clumsily pulling on his shoes at the front door. “I’ll show my brother.” Minho mumbled.
Jinki laughed, dragging his bag with him to the door, read to finally have fun.
