Meeting His Parents... as His Girlfriend
The Female HoyaYou nervously ran your hand through your hair. When was the last time you felt this nervous? You weren’t even this nervous during your debut stage or comeback. It was a while since you were in a relationship and you were imagining all of the worst case scenarios.
“Don’t be nervous.” Hoya gently said, placing his hand on your shoulder.
He still wasn’t as comfortable initiating skinship with you, but you didn’t mind because you were quite awkward when it came to skinship as well. It was a completely different story when both of your feelings were unknown to one another, but now that you two were dating – it made skinship just a tad bit awkward.
“They’ve met you before and they loved you.” He reminded. “You even slept over once. Everything’s going to be fine. Trust me.”
“But that was when we weren’t dating.” You pointed out. “What if things change now that we are?”
“Nothing’s going to change.” He assured you. “If not, they’ll like you even more.”
“I just hope so.” You mumbled.
“If you’re uncomfortable, we can always reschedule and come back when you’re ready.” Hoya offered.
You shook your head. “It’s now or never. We already called and told them we’d come, so there’s no turning back now.”
“That’s the spirit.” Hoya smiled.
He paused to fix your hair since you messed it up while running your fingers through it many times in your nervous state. He pushed up his glasses and knocked on the door.
“~~~! Howon-ah!” His mom said, giving the two of you a hug after she opened the door.
While still in her embrace, Hoya gave you a look that said ‘I-told-you.’ You stuck out your tongue at him.
“Come in, come in, come in!” His mom ushered the two of you inside the house. “It’s been a while since you two have been here.”
“Sorry mom, work has been really busy.”
“I know,” His mom replied, “I’m just glad you guys came today. I cooked a huge meal for all of us in celebration of your new found relationship.”
“Howon-ah, it’s nice to see you. And you, Mrs. Lee.” Hojae teased, ruffling Hoya’s hair.
You blushed and so did Hoya.
“Yah,” Hoya whispered.
“What? We all know it’ll happen eventually. Might as well get used to it.” Hojun said, walking into the living room. “Look, mom even got them couple slippers.”
You looked down at the slippers you and Hoya were wearing. Only when Hojun pointed it out that you realized that his mom did in fact buy matching couple slippers for you two.
“Well if it isn’t Howon and his girlfriend. Bang. ~~~.” The tone that Hoya’s dad had was not a pleasant one.
Hoya was confused. If he remembered clearly, his dad liked you a lot. Why was he acting like this? You shot a panicked glance at Hoya.
“Come here and hug your father-in-law!” His dad suddenly said, opening his arms wide.
Hoya’s mom and brothers laughed
