“What?”
“You heard me. I said no.” Your dad repeated.
You looked at your mom for help.
“I’m going to have to agree with your father on this one, honey.”
“Why?” You asked, not understanding why your parents were so against your relationship with Hoya.
Your mom looked over her shoulder at Hoya who was awkwardly sitting in one of the armchairs in the living room of your house. “Wasn’t this the man that was trying to ruin your career?”
“Well yeah, but that was in the past. He’s completely different –“
“I beg to differ.” Your dad interrupted. “How can you love a man who tried to stop you from doing what you love?”
“Dad, I’m telling you. It’s different now.” You said. "Plus, you and mom tried to stop me from dancing."
"That's irrelevant." Your dad said. "We had good intentions unlike him. We were doing what we believed was right at the time."
“What about that Sunggyu guy? He seems nice. And he didn’t try to ruin your career. That’s a bonus.” Your mom suggested quietly.
“I don’t have feelings for him.” You whispered back. “He may have confessed to me but –“
“He confessed?!” Your mom repeated loudly.
Hoya flinched. You gave your mom a look.
“Sorry.” She lowered her voice. “But that’s even better. It gives you a chance to develop –”
