You stood in front of Woollim Entertainment Monday morning. You had to make an excuse that you would be at a clothing company the whole day, trying to get them to consider a partnership with your parents’ company, so you could practice for your debut as a dancer with no suspicion from your parents. You mentally slapped yourself when you realized you couldn’t make an excuse every time you had dance practice, but pushed the matter away until later. You showed the security your ID and he let you in. Making your way to your practice room, you stopped to watch how Howon was doing. You peeked inside their practice room and saw Howon working hard while Haemi sat and looked pretty. You were aware that he was looking at her in the corner of his eyes. His eyes flickered to the girl standing at the door. You flinched and quickly left.

You opened the door to your practice room and met about ten people. When you were told you’d meet your choreographer, singing instructor, rapping teacher, and manager, you expected four people, not a crowd. Introductions were made and whatnot.

“We’re here to monitor you,” Someone said.

“Do as you would as if we aren’t here.” Another added.

You set down your things, the music, and danced. Hours passed and you lost track of time. Exhaustion was beginning to kick in. Your breaths came out shaky and sweat drops made their way down your face and onto the floor. They stopped you for a break and afterwards made you sing and rap. Another few hours passed by and they stopped you again.

“We needed to see your skill level of each area.” One explained.

You didn’t care what they needed, all you knew was that you were tired and would’ve dropped to the floor if there weren’t ten people in the room – one of which was the CEO. You forced yourself to nod. Howon was called in and the two of you were to practice together. First, it was singing, followed by rapping, and finally dancing. The vocal teacher taught the two of you how to harmonize with each other’s voices. Howon’s voice was probably the most beautiful voice you’ve ever heard in your life. Maybe it was because you were biased… hm… who knows. The way his eyebrows knit together in concentration and the way his voice seemed to fit perfectly with yours. You thought his singing was amazing, but when you heard his rapping, the feeling was indescribable. You could’ve sworn you died and went to heaven. His deep and mesmerizing voice that penetrated through your soul, making you feel so many emotions at one time. You could listen to it all day, every day and wouldn’t be sick of it. The dance choreographer had you guys practice two different styles of dancing – hip hop and y dancing. Since hip hop was both of your majors, he decided to work on the second type of dance.

It was eight pm and Howon and you were still practicing your version of Trouble Maker’s ‘Trouble Maker.’ Your face, as well Howon’s, was flushed due to practicing non-stop for the past four to five hours. The both of your clothes were drenched in sweat and the room was hot for a couple of reasons: one, you’ve been practicing since three, who wouldn’t be hot? Two, the CEO has been watching and recording your every move since the moment you began – you didn’t want to make a mistake while the boss was watching. And finally, three: you were dancing a y dance with a guy you barely knew! Who in their right mind would not be hot with embarrassment and nervousness?! Unless you don’t mind – which you did, since you were never really comfortable around guys other than Sungyeol.

The night went on and the two of you continu
