The next day, since it was the weekend you decided to go to the cafe and help your father out. 

Sungyeol was also there playing around with Minji. You helped ask for orders and serve the food and coffee. You saw that since there weren't any customers coming in, you took the chance to go play around with Minji. 

You took her out of the high-chair. "Hey, sweetie~" You cooed. "You having fun with Uncle Sungyeol?" You asked her as you kissed her cheek. Minji shook her head. Sungyeol's jaw dropped.

"Minji, we were having so much fun! What are you talking about?" Sungyeol frowned. Minji started to giggle suddenly. Just then the door opened and the bells chimed. You looked up to welcome them. Your smile faded when you found out that it was L. You gave Minji and placed her in Sungyeol's arms. 

"Oppa, take her to the back for me." Sungyeol knew what you meant and immediately went to the back where your father was baking. You walked up to L. L noticed Sungyeol having Minji in his arms. 

"I never knew you had a sister?" He pinched his eyebrows to the middle. Sungyeol never told him anything about it either. 

"That's what you get for leaving. You never knew anything." You muttered to yourself. "What do you want? Your not welcomed into this cafe." You scowled him. 

"I wanted to ask you something-" Just then L heard his name coming from the t.v. From the t.v, the news was on and they were talking about L hitting Sunggyu just the day before. The clip ended with Sunggyu and you holding hands and leaving the scene. Your eyes widened. You thought that your leave with Sunggyu wasn't noticable. 

"Oh no..." You swallowed hard. L sighed. *This spreaded so fast.* 

"~~~~~~~," L turned back to you. You looked around and noticed how people were staring at both you and L and murmuring amongst themselves. "Get out..." You blurted. When L left you, you were always being picked on by the people in your school. Now that the incident happened the day before, you were sure you were going to be picked on by both your school and all of Seoul.

“~~~~~, Let me talk please-“ “No, I don’t want to talk to you or see you anymore. Please just go.” You turned around to go but stopped when Minji came running out.

“Mommy Mommy! Mommy!” Minji beamed and ran into you. L raised an eyebrow. He looked over to the cash register to see your mom counting the money. But Minji was running to you. Sungyeol came running behind her.

“Minji! Stop right there!”

“Did she just call you mommy?” L asked. You picked Minji up and turned to face L. The words of Sunggyu said the day before repeated in your mind.

"You have every right to keep Minji away from him. He doesn't deserve to be a father. But think of Minji for a change, I know that she is dying to meet her father."

You took a deep breathe. You gave Sungyeol a small smile telling him that it’s okay. “Yes. Her name is Minji.. and she did call me mommy.” You admitted. You glanced at Minji who put her finger into . L’s eyes widened.

“How did that happened?” L asked, he glanced to both you and Minji. “Did you… sleep with someone after I left you?” Then it hit him. His eyes grew bigger in shock. Everything made sense to him now. How could he have forgotten?

He had been so worried about how you would feel leaving him that he never realized that he had slept with you.

“No.” You bit your lip to hold your tears back. “I slept with you.” You murmured. You couldn’t look at him straight in the eye. It hurt you to remember how much he had hurt you after he left.

“~~~~~~… I-I” He didn’t know what to say. He was shocked himself. He shifted his eyes to Minji he was staring at him. L was now looking at his daughter. The daughter he never knew about because he couldn’t stay behind to protect you.

"S-She's m-my daughter?" L stuttered.

Sungyeol came in between you two. “L. You should go.” Sungyeol said. He was afraid that you would start crying once again.

L stood there, still shocked. *How could I be this stupid? If only I stayed, I would have protected both ~~~~~ and Minji?* His heart squeezed. He slowly walked out of the café with heavy steps. He stopped and turned slightly to see you wiping your tears away as Minji rested her head on your shoulder.

He walked out of the café. *If I haven’t left ~~~~~~, we would have been a happy family. ~~~~~~’s heart would still belong to me. ~~~~~~~ would still love me. I would have been the best father ever.*
