"hey can I talk to you for a second?" I looked up from my book to find chan standing in front of the sofa with a hesitant look.

I smiled at him: "yeah sure! What's up?"

"I need your help!"

I raised my eyebrows and chuckled:" oh Chan the great needs this mere peasant's help! Life is sure full of surprises!" i finished my dramatic monologue and Chan started laughing.

I put my book away and said:" tell me!"

Chan sat down next to me on the sofa, he seemed nervous and hesitant which made me even more curious.

"Our company is having this party tomorrow and I was wondering if you can come with me..." he was staring at somewhere between the coffee table and sofa while saying that...I could see his ears turning red.
